It's a Knockout! If looks could kill, they probably will.... [Actually found this guy and Wild Rider at a local mall, for a bit more than the retail deluxe price but not terrible for mall overhead/smaller stores, Slackers for anyone familiar with that chain]
I hope a third party company puts out a set of doors we can plug into his arms, even if they can't be used in vehicle mode it would make this figure's robot mode look a lot better in my opinion. Knockout properly rocked the door arms design in Prime.
I even think he uses the mold better than Jazz. Subtle detailing that still carries his original design's flair, which the comic art where we first saw this design didn't really illustrate. Jazz, accurate as he is...kinda looks generic and "just a guy". Jackpot's colors save that mold, but Knock Out is easily the best use of it.
@@reyonXIII Jazz definitely benefits from the Toyhax upgrade sticker set, it elevates him to "mini masterpiece" level. The "cartoon accurate" detailing just lacks...details.
During the events of the Beast Hunters movie, Knock Out became an Autobot--, mainly because he grew tired of Megatron & (especially) Shockwave's maltreatment of his medical & science work, & also, he HATED Starscream......... This explains how he seamlessly teamed up with the Autobots, after declaring his alligence to the "winning team"(since the last eps of Transformers: Prime S3!).
At first I wasn't convinced about this mold for knock out, but i think is growing on me, is nice that the spear can split into an arm blade and a staff, and that the staff can be held as a blaster
@@megamanpwn3dmario really? huh, I only knew about the Arms Micron one, but I bet it ain't cheep now, if they make an updated one it would be a little cheaper.
Have done the seacons? Those were my absolute favorite as a kid because we never got them on tv. That made them super cool. Lol. You’re content is amazing and life changing because you always make me laugh. Thank you!
If there isn’t a gen selects Legacy Knockout with Cybertronian math equations painted on his hood by the next 2 years, my next bed will be relocated 6 feet downwards
So far, I have liked the G1-ification of the Prime characters. What really throws me though is them having noses. Bulkhead wasn't too bad, Knockout doesn't seem too out of place, but Arcee just looks weird. However, I would love to see a Deluxe Prime Soundwave!
Ngl I like all the Legacy Prime figures but Arcee. Her design doesn't translate well. I wanna see a Prime megatron though, and a exclusive could be the unicron-ified version too!
I honestly think this mold worked more for KnockOut than it did Jazz not to say Jazz was Bad, but it did has its downsides especially when it came to the head I think the Reveal The Sheild had the better head and O much prefer the trans clearance blue as opposed to painted blue who barely. Now if I could say KnockOut would be even better if he Had His Buzzsaw to complete him
I already have him and Elita on preorder. I gotta say, Knockout works better in the 86 Jazz mold than Jazz himself. Plus, his alt mode is very accurate to his Aston Martin look which is a nice touch.
Hello EMGO,just want to say that I love all of your great content, specially transformees review,I just want to know when will you get a hands on review the Cang Toys Thorilla and Rusirius Set?keep up the good work
I’m tempted to get him. The car mode looks superb, and I figured out a way to attach him to menasor through my 86 jazz. Although I might just wait and see if APC tries there hand at giving him a new mold.
I was expecting another turn like "Megatron MEGATRON look what the autopridurks did to me :But knockout you look super : super I look like my grandfather from 1986 the same old and insignificant
I was tempted to skip this figure from the preview inages, but after your review he has been ordered. Love both modes and the weapon is very nicely done.
Reminder for everybody thinking "That Knockout design sucks!": To me, Legacy is just a HUGE what if scenario like "What if prime designs were in the G1 style" for example
That doesn't make it stuck less. G1 inspired doesn't mean everything is super blocky, other Legacy characters have smoother and sleeker lines than this. For some reason they want to make the Prime characters as blocky and ugly as possible.
@@sophieprime4669The problem with the G1 style is it that it has changed over the years to completely mimic the cartoon by removing any complex shapes or details. That was fine for artists who wanted an easier time drawing the characters, but when they translate the design 1:1 to a toy, it looks really barren.
Or "what if Prime characters go to G1 universe and their art style changes according to the universe"(like how Across the Spider-Verse change art style in each universes)
I personally think it looks better if you rotate the wheel sections on the legs in the other direction for robot mode. Less stuff sticking out behind and the whole side of the shin is covered then.
Thanks, man! Loved the review. This just proves that Sue Blu is the baddest @#$% in transformers. I'll buy all things Prime in Legacy and I grew up in the 80s
I know he's a remould, but how similar does he feel to Jazz? I've been trying to avoid buying multiples of the same mould, but this little guy is tempting me.
They really knocked this one out of the park, just wish he had the car-door wings (maybe detachable ones lol) edit: Actually, with how that entire back kibble is held on at a single hinde, depending on how easily removed that is I could see a third party alternative.
You miss the opportunity to say 'sweet rims' and whatever he said to prime in his first appearance in tfp (Yes That episode where he flirts with prime at the museum is his first appearance in the show s1 ep10) I like this figure If I have the money im so taking him home
