Update in case anyone sees this some time after: Dareth and Nelson are also confirmed to have survived, confirmed by Doc Wyatt on Twitter, and at Comic-Con they said Dareth will "not NOT show up" in Dragons Rising.
Heck I even missed some, I realized a bit after making the video that I forgot Master Yang, Sorla and the ice fishers, probably even more I'm forgetting right now. There's so many potential characters to bring back.
I don't think garmadon and misako are missing, I think Lloyd would've said something about it by now but he hasn't, he's only shown concern for wu which makes me think he knows where his parents are

First: "Dareth is alive, but don't expect to see him soon, his story isn't ready to tell yet", that was said after Dragons Rising Season 1 Part 1. Second: "I can't say that he will not appear in Dragons Rising", this was said at the last comic con.
A think the situation with the departed realm is more complicated probably. I don’t think the writers would want people to just be able to walk in and out of the literal afterlife of ninjago. Maybe there is some magic from the FSM that creates an impenetrable force field.
Probably. Hopefully that's something they'll cover in a future season, I'd imagine there could be something crazy to spur from the possibility of the departed coming back to life.
I hope every single character mentioned in this video comes back so everything is just chaos. The problem with this is that it would need a skyboundesque ending
I think Borg has been implied to be around during the events of Dragons Rising (something about him making something in the first episode or two or S1), so hopefully he's reintroduced soon. Though I get the feeling he'll likely be introduced with Pixal's return. A bit unrelated but I also believe Wu's actions in S7 are related to the Merge in some way given what we know from Part 2. Bringing back the Time Twins with this could be fun, as I personally think they were handled poorly in S7.
How did I forget her? Unfortunately I think she's very low on the priority list, the MiniPix were kinda pulled out of nowhere to explain PIXAL's improbable vehicle-building speed, but MiniPix Seven would be neat to see. Maybe she's at the Administration like PIXAL herself is theorized to be.
Nadakhans return has been teased for seasons now and nothing has come of it and it’s slowly driving me insane. Also I think Misako is a character that could really use more development. She left Lloyd at an evil boarding school, but we’re never given any context to anything. Is it possible she was rushing and she thought it was a boarding school to rehabilitate bad boys? That’s what I would assume considering the whole reason she left to research the prophecy was to stop Lloyd from having to fight his dad so it’s just really weird. I feel like the show really under utilizes her
For real on the Nadakhan teases, the Teapot of Tyrahn appeared in 4/5 seasons of the 11-minute era (SotFS, Prime Empire, Seabound, Crystalized), and was mentioned in the only one it didn't appear (MotM), and appeared in one of the Reimagined shorts, where Clutch straight up made a wish and orange smoke came out. I could see Misako maybe thinking Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys was a school to fix the behavior of "bad boys", apparently Lloyd did want to follow in Garmadon's evil footstep from a young age. Still would've been more sensible to leave him with Wu who could teach him to defend himself (even though story-wise that wouldn't work) or at least someplace she could be completely sure is normal, like just a normal school, where if he acted bad, he'd probably get normal punishment and come to learn right from wrong.
@@TheGeekyGamer__ I honestly feel like the writers didn’t even think about Misako dropping Lloyd off at the school for bad boys that much considering how it’s never brought up at all. As for Nadakhan, there is so much potential with his return. With Jay currently being evil, there is so much they could do if they chose to bring Nadakhan back soon
Garmadon better come back. Not sure about Lloyd's Oni power, I think he still wants to suppress that destructive side and focus on his dragon side (how have they still not mentioned in Dragons Rising that Lloyd's 1/4 dragon). Not sure who Lloyd would get together with, Lloyd x Akita never really felt right to me, and we all know how the fans feel about Lloyd x Harumi.
@Blackbloodgamezzz yeahh if Lloyd gets a girlfriend and it isn't Harumi she's gonna go back into her villian arc to break that relationship up since she's petty like that especially when it comes to Lloyd
I could have seen her making her return at the Tournament of Sources (and getting a sad scene when they tell her about Kai getting trapped in Nether-Space, now I'm wondering how their relationship has been since Crystalized and especially the Merge), but her Amber powers probably would've conflicted too much writing-wise with the Elemental Cup's power transfer ability. Maybe next season...
I'm with you on that controversial opinion. Hopefully they can find some way to please the Crystalized Harumi haters by showing her work towards full redemption after Crystalized, finally quell the mockery of "It's okay, she's with us". I still don't know how so many people misunderstood that line, the other ninja thought she was still an enemy after the Overlord was defeated so Lloyd was just telling them she was on their side now, not forgiving her for all her past actions.
I do think that all of these characters are gonna come back at some point. It’s just that now the writers want to give all of these new characters and locations as much room to breathe in

Considering how time progresses in the never realm and how zane being away from ninjago for a couple of days was 60 years for the never realm i assume that by this many years everyone we knew in the never realm is dead (depending on how the departed real works now). Also pixel is 100% coming back considering how zane said how much he wants to find her and how she is seen as a member of the team even though she isnt a ninja
They confirmed that Aspheera sent Zane back in time 60 years, there's no time dilation or anything, so the Never-Realm residents are probably still alive. And yeah PIXAL is totally returning, they wouldn't mention her as much as they have already if she wasn't.
If Misako returns, I want her to explain the evil boarding school. Even if it's just a joke or a throwaway line, just something because it makes no sense. I think Jay's parents will return. They about have to, their kid has amnesia.
If they can get Jay's memory back, of course. The other ninja (besides Nya) don't really remember Nadakhan, but imagine he comes back and not even Jay knows who he is. Also, I wanna see interaction between Nadakhan and Arrakore, that'd be interesting.
A lot of things make no sense so far. Like why hasn't Lloyd mentioned his father, not once? He would be worried about him, since they were repairing their relationship. Also, Kai doesn't mention Skylor at all. Where are all the ninja's parents, and why aren't they mentioning they are concerned about them? So many people are missing still. They have to at least bring some of them back, or that would just be weird.
Maybe he kept his powers in Possession because he was cursed but not fully departed? I'm not sure, but I don't recall him using any Wind powers in Day of the Departed. When he touched the water and went to the Departed Realm, maybe that's when his powers got transferred to Euphrasia? idk
If he was alive then he might be looking for pixal as well since she is technically his daughter or maybe he forgot about pixal like the writers forgot for like three seasons and clutch powers surviving is dumb since he is so selfish only cares about himself and his adventure club membership dareth surviving, somehow is funny. 4:40 This doesn’t mean they survived skylor simply took over her father’s business and got rid of all the criminal empire stuff associated with it and made it better it could still be running from her with her stuck somewhere else but still able to order supplies pay employees, etc. 7:14 That would get crazy I can totally see wyldfire keep on saying miss deameener’s name wrong over and over. 7:15 The only legacy short that I consider canon is the last one with Wu and the time twins it’s canon no matter what the writers say it perfectly shows what happened to Wu and the time twins.
Tbh, I kinda wanna see some of the characters back But at the same time, ninjago rn without these characters is actually good New characters are pretty good tbh And ngl, Lloyd and Kai and Nya have been handled pretty well, especially Lloyd and Kai, it’s like their of of version is back, but now, they are even more mature and wiser Now ok Cole and Zane used to be handled better, but from what I heard, s3 is a Zane season And Cole will be handled pretty good I think Now about the new characters, pixel is set to come back in s3 As for the other characters, they might come back one by one Idk about darreth tho, it worries me that he might not come back But anyway, new ninja go is doing pretty alright without these characters, although I wish they come back in future seasons
I have seen people floating the idea of Source Oni to go up against the Source Dragons... But yeah, the Omega was just DARKNESS AND DESTRUCTION, even less depth than the Overlord, at least the Overlord was a manipulator and master planner.
They could bring back the oni because they are the dragons there big arch enemy, but i'm 100% sure that if the oni come back they will have a other leader

Like I said, I'm not trusting it. Take any leaks with a grain of salt, especially if it's for stuff people really want, there were "leaks" that Garmadon was gonna show up in Dragons Rising Season 2 which obviously turned out false. Apparently they thought he was in the Dragon Stone Shrine set, must've confused Ras's S2P1 outfit for Garmadon, especially if the pics were blurry.
Pauline Newstone (who passed away last year) voiced Aspheera in S11, and she retired before S15 started production, so they recast Aspheera with Kathleen Barr for Crystalized.
If Harumi do come back, I wanna see a second ninja group of Harumi, PIXEL, Nya, Skylor, and (If it turns out to be true about him and Cole) Geo. The love interests of the Ninjas.

Nya's on the main ninja team, taking her off it and putting her in some "love interest" team would be an insult to her character and over a decade of development. There's no need for a "love interest" subteam like that, it'd be a disservice to boil them all down to being love interests of the ninja.
They're ruining the show. Unless most of these heroes come back the show is cooked. I'm pretty sure one of the writers confirmed Dareth isn't returning. This is going to damage the show along with adding all these random elements I'm just calling it.
I really wouldn’t call the overlord the final boss of Ninjago. He’s only been in 3 out of 17 seasons of the show and every season he’s not in he’s not mentioned at all and notice how every season the overlord is in has a rocky reputation. Legacy of the green ninja is known as the “filler season”, rebooted is controversial and crystallized is the most hated season in the entire show and for pretty good reason so I doubt they’re gonna be bringing him back anytime soon
I mean, it's good to not overuse the guy they want to be the ULTIMATE EVIL (TM), I blame Rebooted for singlehandedly turning the Overlord into a joke by immediately bringing him back and having Zane somehow beat him, Zane's sacrifice was epic and emotional but ultimately kinda stupid because there's no way he would've actually beat the Overlord there. Even 8 years later with Crystalized, people kept complaining "oh they brought the Overlord back AGAIN" when it had only been done once before, but Rebooted turned him into that much of a laughingstock. Crystalized honestly did wonders for the Overlord, it made him actually threatening again after the season where Pythor literally carried him around in his stomach and barfed him out to talk to him. And they really cemented him as the overarching villain by making him be the one who corrupted the Great Devourer (which actually sorta had prior hints, one of the old now-non-canon comics said a darkness corrupted the snake that became the Devourer, and the Devourer's venom reawakened the Overlord's Stone Army). I hope the writers take notes on what they did well with the Overlord in Crystalized, so if they bring him back again, he can REALLY live up to his status at the ultimate evil.
@@TheGeekyGamer__ I see where you’re coming from but I think the problem with the overlord is that he’s really not that interesting. He really is just your stereotypical dark embodiment of evil type villain with nothing more to him which is fine, Those types of villains can work but making them interesting can be a challenge. Ninjago has had so many interesting and complex villains over the years so for the new villains to just be the overlord again is kind of annoying. Like how many times can they do the overlord before people never wanna see him again? If they keep bringing him back eventually everyone’s just gonna get sick of him. You can only do the same thing so many times before people start to get sick of it. People are already sick of the overlord considering how nobody was asking for him to return, but he came back in crystallized anyway. Also doesn’t help that crystallizes reputation is in the gutter. I feel like they either need to bring the overlord back one more time and find a way to finally defeat him for good or Just not bring him back again at all because it’s just gonna get really stale
