Henry Beecher once wrote "“Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself-and be lenient to everybody else.”" Kind of fits this.
What an exceptional man! With an incredible way of thinking. I'm quite happy just to live contently and ensure I do my best for the planet so that there might be something left for my grand children. I've always admired ambition and drive like this!
This reminds me of my favourite quote from some weird doco I watched once - "Life isn't about finding a beautiful result, life is about learning from the process and always allowing that process to welcome change" Growth was never meant to be comfortable. I loved this talk Tommy. Absolutely fantastic.
Joan Guckel hey Joan, oh it will leave its print for sure. But the “lockdown” will pass. Then we can get out there and start constructing the “new normal” - stay strong. Love to you and yours. 🙏
Gosh I enjoyed this talk... His perspective is amazing! I just hope that people understand it is so important to leave the Ego out of this and work and move forward from a place of love and acceptance.
Living for legacy, aren't we all a bit egotistical and self-centered. Of course we are, carry on! However listen to this for a delightful perspective, his way with words and presence on stage is quite inspiring!
To simply give up is not an option. The good news is I have seen many people go through life changing event where through the process it may look like they are giving up and its only the beginning of the metamorphosis.
