How Dare You 🤓? Anything “ Buttering” related has to Belong to Singapore 🇸🇬… 1st They Buttered the British Colonisers & Japanese Occupiers … Then Malaysia & for longest time Superpowers 😂😂😂

well, 1 will see cultural appropriation (includes exchange) with music, languages, food, architecture, etc across nations worldwide - fusions of various cultures including various types of yoga too. so, going to court for all these including ones Indians appropriated too with regards to architectural styles, interior designs of homes? not worth it going to court for as people worldwide love them and that includes butter chicken too.
Cultural Appropriation (includes exchange) - Drawing Room came from UK while Skyscrapers, Ferris Wheel and many more originated from Chicago and Yet the World has drawing rooms, skyscrapers, ferris wheels etc which are there in India too (Go to court for all of them too? Not worth it as people worldwide enjoy them).
Or we can look at it with different perspective. Imagine with the diversity of the UK our indian dish still captured their hearts. They may have left India and their spices but Indian spices didn’t leave them 😂
I don't think people understand whoever wins the case will get a significant and inherent advantage. The winner can claim royalties, ads, credit, etc. They may also be able to dictate who can/cannot make it. However, the court may rule that it has been over X years, and therefore, the butter chicken can be made by anyone with no royalties paid. But the number of ads, promotions, and fee they can charge, franchisees they can open boasting about their invention (that others are copying) will make them super rich and famous overnight. It is tricky. This case will be just another 'who invented it first' - and such cases are common across the globe. This case got the hype because almost any non-veg would know about this dish globally. So - tell me, why are people making a mockery of it? If I invented something, and someone else took the credit, I will go to court, too!
well, 1 will see cultural appropriation (includes exchange) - music, languages, food, architecture, etc across nations worldwide - fusions of various cultures including various types of yoga too. going to court for all these including ones Indians appropriated too including architectural styles, interior designs of homes? no royalty will happen as it will just be case of who came out with the butter chicken 1st where it came out on Indian subcontinent anyway
Not worth it as people worldwide enjoy them even though Ancient Indian homes of rich didn't have Drawing Room but had Other Rooms especially for Storage and More).
Idiotic analogy...who invented pop music do you know that!! No one can claim royalty on butter chicken. You invented I don't care, if I open a restaurant I will also make butter chicken
@@Sn28septSounds good. Your education comes across really well. Do you have any idea about how inventions work? How are they registered? If there is ever a dispute how they get resolved and what the consequences are? If person A invented something, and A finds you copying it without their written authorisation then you will be liable to pay A royalties, or almost anything A wants from your earnings (or damages). Just simply how inventions and rights work. Problem with most Indians is they have degrees but continue to be unemployable because you fail to understand simple logic. If any tom dick and harry (like you) started legally copying others inventions, then there wouldn't be any person inventing because they get no benefit from putting the hard work. Just because in India you can do it and get away from it due to hardly any legal enforcements/consequences doesn't mean it is right. Also - I am not claiming who invented butter chicken The comment was about how inventions and claims/rights work.
I learned the skill of preparing butter chicken from my mother. According to my grandmother, this recipe, albeit with minor alterations, has been a part of our family heritage since the 1930s. Personally, I find my version of butter chicken superior to that of Moti Mahal's. Several years ago, while I was studying in New York, my friends, who hailed from Europe, the United States, and South America, were particularly fond of it, drawn to its distinctive aroma. It is noteworthy that many such recipes, including the one I utilize, predate those used in restaurants.
There is no chance for daryaganj because all the original founders worked in the venture named moti mahal from which Mr. Kundan lal jaggi retired from in 1992 , but yet moti mahal continued and then daryaganj was established in 2018 after 26 years , so the claim of daryaganj is baseless because the so called founder of Daryaganj only was a part of the moti mahal orignal butter chicken . It is as simple as pakistan’s claim for kashmir is the same claim of daryaganj .
There are crores of pending cases in Indian courts. But clearly this is a globally important issue & calls for a full bench, top priority day to day hearings! The outcome will shape the future of the world.
I never had it myself, and I don't care. Indian cuisine is extremely diverse. Just because some foods get popular overseas doesn't make them better than others.
@@someonejustsomeone1469 Because the British, just like other colonisers, have only tried making themselves look superior to us. So they don't care about India's diverse cuisine. Btw I love butter chicken. But I won't know why foreigners only talk about a few Indian food. There are millions of dishes across India. Anyways let's not be concerned with their ignorance about our culture. Who are they?

Actually o.o it was invented by my great grandma But we cannot publish it, o.o as my grandma used the neighbours' chicken without permission & ever since then, they been keepin an eye on us o.o
Yeah I also know about that actually my grandma was school friend of this guy's grandma and she saw her while stealing the chicken 🐔 infact my grandma was the one who suggested the idea of stealing in the first place🤷♂️
Seriously Man we have so much of back logs of cases and our judiciary is wasting time on this case. Dhabe wala outside of my home claims that he invented Butter chicken.
I invented Butter Chicken… it was in 3rd year college, my bois were hungry , I had 2 days old bits of Tandoori chicken in one plate, I added cream, Amul butter and tomato ketchup…cooked in the electric kettle…and Voila Butter Chicken. Shall I also sue these Moti Mahal and Darya Ganj ?? Ngl I hate these courts ke chakkar tho
I didn't know so many Indian food classics are so recent: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani. Surely there must be great dishes that are old.
Chicken Tikka Masala has Controversy like many worldwide. Here are the Indian Authors and Food Historians where these are Few of their Books Too - 1) "Whose Samosa Is It Anyway?: The Story of Where 'Indian' Food Really Came From" by Sonal Ved, 2) "Masala Lab" by Ashok Krish, 3)"The Indian Pantry : The Very Best of Rude Food" by Vir Sanghvi, etc. Chili came to India via Portuguese. Pulao, Jalebi, Samosa, Idli, etc not from India. Same goes with many fruits and vegetables Indians enjoy as they come from Outside India.
All those books have RU-vid videos on them. 1 of those RU-vid videos "Vir Sanghvi Unravels Popular Indian Food Myths", Vir Sanghvi clearly states "Chilli" came to India via Portuguese. Pulao, Jalebi, Samosa, Idli, etc not from India. Same goes with many fruits and vegetables Indians enjoy as they come from Outside India. Can check out these books and videos as a start to get the knowledge about Indian food and origins
"Indian Food: A Historical Companion" is another book by K.T. Acharya, yet another Indian Author and Food Historian who states what you want including from Prehistoric Times of Indian Food where he's also 1 who has stated Idli doesn't come from India and comes from Indonesia
I was talking to my dear uncle Mahat macoat and he said he actually invented it in the slums of Bombay but unfortunately we can’t get him to testify as he slipped over in a spilt butter chicken and no is in a korma 😢hopefully he wakes up soon and can lay claim to this wonderfull dish 🤓

Butter chicken? Biriyani was invented in north India part mughal grandkids who just came 1400y fighting for biryani 😂 sure your Arab Mughal even saw one grain of rice in desert? Some Dumasss in my cmnt
@@myglobalytthe root of several Mughal dishes are in Persia, of course the spice mix came from India, cuisines are complex and change hands several times in history, its nearly impossible to credit one person no matter how ingenious chef (s)he maybe.
I remember once I attended meeting called by Principal District Judge now High Court Judge there he said no case is big or small case is case. It looks absurd and rightfully so however credit of being first to invent something might have sentimental value for warring families while it might not help them commercially since it widely available.
I'm always reminded of curry whenever someone mentions India. I would love to feast on some buttered chicken but unfortunately i can't, for health reasons. Sucks to be on a diet. You miss out on the yummy stuff 😟😢😂
@@VARMOT123 yup, i will certainly do that after my FORCED diet 😂. I would order chicken masala first 😁. This is making me drool just thinking about it 😂
😂 The chicken who was used in the first Butter chicken can only tell the truth because it was the main ingredient in the invention. Unfortunately the witness in no more. So the case is dismissed.
The whole world knows it.. I've lived in old Delhi I know it and ur story says it too.. Moti Mahal invented it. Daryaganj is his kins new upscale watery who went to shark tank is trying to get fame...
in the US its tikka masala(the most popular one) and seaaaag paneeerrrr (thats how you say it) ...both dishes in the US are screwed up by south indian cooks who dont even know what these should be looking like
Butter chicken Khao ,khilao aur enjoy kharo , I am sure the person who invented wanted others to enjoy it , rather than wanted rights over its recipe , or name
One day the family of the chicken seller, who had sold chicken to both the Jaggi brothers, would come and say that this recipe was invented by our ancestors and it would not have been possible if he had not given them the chicken...
This is all nonsense, butter chicken was invented by legendary chef Hansraj Kapotra , he was the actual person who invented. He was a very renowned chef worldwide.
Around 40 years ago, As for my learning Kunden Lal Gujral of Moti Mehel Delhi Dariajung was the one who invented Butter Chicken and them Daal makhani. well Daal makhani originated from Jammu Dogra’s but not as daal makhani but Black Daal ( Urad whole ) use to be cocked in Curd (yoghurt) W/O onion, Tomato and garlic, instead they used Anis!
So the Old Generation created the dish together but the younger generation are fighting over it and thus disrepecting their ancestors. They can just say that both of their parents invented it together. But I guess men can have babies without an egg cell and women can have babies without a sperm.
