I remember when I did this when I was in high school and the girl who played Elle and her mic went out during the big number right before intermission and we were like "oh shit". Then she started singing so loud she overpowered all the other mic'd singers and the musical pit. Then we were like "ooooohhhhh shiiiit". I was in the pit and when intermission hit everyone gave her a hug.
I have a really good way to learn songs in either one day or two 1. Listen to the song just to get an understanding of it 2. Listen to it with the lyrics so u know exactly what the words are sometimes words run together so it’s hard to understand 3. Song with the lyrics with music 4. Repeat step three with no music 5. Listen to instrumental so u know all the starting parts 6. Sing with the instrumental at this point u should know the song but if you don’t then use the lyrics If this doesn’t work in the first day just repeat steps 1 and 6
I actually like how some of the actors delivered their lines in this one better, and I like some of the shortening and editing, though there are other parts of the song that I feel require a bit more gusto. Overall, I like this version as much as I like the original!
