Agree. The CTR name still has a ton of value. Nike spend a ton of money on marketing, they could have created a much more compelling story around that name.

“Tiempo” name is too old and iconic. Too many legends have worn it so it’s too iconic to just stop. If they stop it, there’s 90% chance they’ll bring it back. Same way adidas brought predator back

I bought the Legend 9 and 10 boots to compare the fit of the new synthetic to leather and if it truly “felt” like natural leather. As expected, the synthetic was nowhere near the feeling of natural leather! It felt rubbery and not as pliable as the legend 9. The legend 10s also felt narrower and pointier when tried on. The Legend 9 will go down as the last great Tiempo. Very sad to see natural leather go.

Of all the issues I've heard, the narrow statements are the worst. Do people really have feet shaped like needles? Who fits into these boots?! I know my feet are closer to pancakes than most but some modern boots don't represent the shape of a foot at all..

Im 17 and got the Tiempo 10s right now and for my first pair of boots ever (besides turf boots for field hockey) they felt really good and I like the fake leather feel because they feel just like my fake leather nike turf cleats I wore in Field hockey as a kid.

Should the name have changed? Maybe. Maybe what they could have done is run them both as Tiempo variants for a while to ease the consumer response before phasing out the leather. The Supra was once a Celica, for instance, not necessarily the same circumstances but still. But it's not what they were after, I'm sure. A clean break is the way to go sometimes, in retrospect.

I’ve stocked up 6-8 pairs of legend 9s as I always do with any outgoing boots. As awesome as the legend 10 is I just think Jay hit the nail on the head when he says “it should be called the CTR360 Maestri 4.” I would even argue it should be called the Magista Opus 3 because it also a lot of similarities to the Magista Opus line. The boots don’t share anything with any of the DNAs from past tiempo models which the previous tiempos do. The legend 10 is more of its own thing rather than continuity of the tiempo lineage.

I have the pros and the elites and I prefer the pros. Upper feels better in my opinion. Tiempo X is pretty much a new ctr360 5 or 6 and I love it.

Nike dropped the K Leather so they can release limited edition K leather Tiempo's in the future. Therefore being able to charge the consumer $350 to $450 for a pair.

They not even had a Tech Craft Pack boot's for a long time. I have some Phantom TC Tech Craft put away. I got them for me but i still use a Mercurial Vapor 12 Pro Stealth Ops an they are Teijin synthetic like an really solid, durability A1 with a nice Ping feel. He's 7.5UK an the Tech Crafts are an 8UK. He had the Mercurial Vapor XIII Tech Craft Pack an they was awesome, he wore them on every surface for over a year until his big toe outgrew them an popped out lol. Gonna miss Nike leather football boot's 🙄

The way I see it, NOTHING can beat natural leather. Nike managed to introduce a pair with an upper that FEELS like leather, and probably PERFORMS almost exactly like leather, but I doubt that it can LAST like leather. Natural leather (whether Kangaroo that Mizuno uses in their Morelia models or Calfskin that Adidas uses in their COPA Pure models) will always win the durability battle when compared to any other synthetic material, which I always consider when making a boot selection.

Definitely does not feel like leather, feels similar to the kangalite (not as plastic feeling as textile or thin synthetics, but 0 pillow like natural padding) and no stretch or breathability. But definitely, if you take care of a leather boot, it will always last longer than synthetic

The legend 10 pro is the best bang for your buck, best value for your money boot in the market right now. They are extremely comfortable and the synthetic leather is so nice. No break in needed, wore them right out of the box straight to a 7-aside game. The legend 10 is an amazing football boot and unless you're playing pro or collegiately, save yourself the $90 and get the pros instead of the elites - you will not notice the difference.

Have both, in the black colourway. Totally different boots. I bought the 10s knowing that it was a CTR “remake” 9 pros: All leather, better and softer (more cushioned) touch and control. Passing and pings are amazing. One of the best boots I’ve owned in a long while. Cons None, other than the fact that my leather boots tend to stretch more than I want it to. After the initial break in, fits perfect for a couple games before it loosens abit more. (I prefer snug fit boots) 10 pros: Abit of a slimmer profile, more oomfph when shooting. Grippier/stickier touch on ball. Actually more comfy than the 9s right out of the box. Cons: Not leather , so it doesn’t really mould as well to your feet. Great to have both in rotation

I tried on the exact ones youre holding in the Legend 10, Pro version. I have a 7.5 R and 6.5 L foot, my usual Nike size is 8 somehow, but the 8's were way too big. The 7.5's were almost perfect, but there was a really uncomfortable fold that bent down into my pinky toe and it really hurt. The 7's were just too small, my right toe hit the end completely and they were not comfortable, though my left foot fit the 7's perfect. So it was a really shitty situation and I think I'm proabably not going to be getting a pair of this model due to the size inconsistencies with every other model I've ever tried on. Maybe it was just the ones I tried on, (I've worked at Dicks Sporting Goods in the US, so I've tried on almost everything) or the Batch in general needs some better Quality Control. But I refuse to pay $150 for shoes that don't fit exactly right, and you should too.

I went to my local DSG to try them on (Elite and Pro) in size 9.5 because that's what I currently wear for casual/work shoes. I used to swear I was a size 9, but my big toe seemed to disagree. I tried them on, and loved it (even my big toe did lol) I went online and bought the pair I tried on, then went to pick it up today. Just out of curiosity, I decided to try the Elites in size 9, but nope, toe was sad. So it reinforced my decision to go half a size up, and I think that's what I'll stick with from now on :)

No material can compare with natural leather, you loose the perfect, glove-fit since only natural leather actually molds to your foot 1:1. For synthetics, it is the opposite, your foot is what has to get used to the upper (since there is 0 stretch)

I bought the Legend 10’s in my usual size UK 9 and there is SO MUCH room in the toe area! Who has pointy feet shaped like this? Far too big and got fed up with them. Bought a pair of Legend 9’s in UK 9 and fit perfectly, the shape around the toes is perfect. I’m sorry Nike but the Tiempo 10’s are so disappointing. I had a pair of CTR360’s and even these feel better than Tiempo 10’s. Also Unisport I love your content but I’m not sure how you can choose the 10’s over the 9’s as your top 2023 boots had the Tiempo 9’s in second place for AG 🤷‍♂️

No lether, no Legend. They shuold have a diferent name. For the ones, like me, who are looking for a leather boot, Legend 10 is a step aside. One of the things I can't cope using synthetic lether is the smell, much easier to grow bacteria on them.

Giving up the leather upper is a downgrade, Nike want to cut off the cost but still remain the price (or maybe higher price, I mean wtf ?) . I've tried the tiempo 10, the synthetic upper is thinner and to be straight, it's like your're wearing a layer of nylon packaging, in other words, it's like trash. You cannot have the stretchy feeling like real leather, also the thickness and the "warm" and feels protected, nothing like that. They really killed the Tiempo series. I'll not suprise if I see more Adidas Copa on the field.

The tiempo line will go back to real leather after nike sales get cut in half from the 9 to 10. People buy the tiempo because of the leather and will buy somethijg else if the tiempo isnt in leather. The reason i buy leather is because i like the leather to mold to my foot so my boot fits like a glove...i dont see the 10s doing that. My kid and i both wear tiempo 9s and will stick with those.
