Ive discovered myself how useful flame flingers are, and yea some bases you can take out nearly 1/4 of the base with a flame flinger. To stop this need a mortar or xbow covering the corners of the base.
I've always wanted to build my own bases for CWL but I lack a lot of knowledge and confidence (not counting that I usually got matched against TH14s) so I end up running other people's bases.
I have always build my own bases. But it takes me about 1-6 months to make it work like i wanted. Like iTzu adjust multiple things at once, i try to change only one building at time, but tbh, i dont get why so many players just copy other bases. After all you can make decend base in 1week, if you have enough clan members to work with. And i noticed that it wont even matter if you build th12 bases and you get attacks from th14. Because all you really care is how attackers troops are moving, not how far they get. PRO-lvl is different, but for casual players, i think more ppl should just try it, you see from replays how it get wiped and you adjust things so next one who tries that loses something.
@@PeRusliStA The problem is the once you reach legends players will know how to shred your base because we've seen similar types and expect traps in certain areas. I've used bases like Klaus's that defended in the e-sports matches but got absolutely shreded in legends. There are so many attack strategies that it's impossible to make sufficient changes that will not make the base strong against one attack but too weak for others. Then you realize after adjusting for a while that the base design isn't good enough itself and then it's just a pain to build a new one that's why most just copy from others that have been tested. It's quicker and you have the benefit of experienced base builders on your side
In the 2nd base Itzu the flinger has too much value in the townhall are especially when it can be activated due to the cannons. So maybe trap it a little bit.
Great video, thanks for the tips! How about an on going series where you take existing bases that aren't working and fix them up? Wether it was a bad design, facing unexpected attacks or needing a change due to the meta changing, etc.
I'm facing a lot of hydra attack, coming from the opposite side of th, with super wiz/super archer in the cc. Was thinking how's the base 2 gonna defend agains those attacks
Hi mate, copied your base but didnt realise all xbows were on ground. Base getting hit by nothing but air in legends. Not performing well. Ive changed xbows so will try again for day 2. Hopefully it does much better
Love this ITZU… lots of great tips. I’ve tried numerous times to build bases but lack this type of knowledge… I second another comment, a series on base building would be huge
Hey Itzu, do you have any clips of some sort on a base building tutorial? I want to learn how to do so, more especially about how trap placements work for various strategies
with trap placements. something that is very effective is you try to attack your own base and see what you use. then place the traps to bait that attack as other people might try it as well
It's actually a very popular trick in competitive. Although pros know it but in legends most bases aren't built by professional base builders and even if they are the bases are quite common. So those people not knowing this really struggle
I am sorry but I have used each of these bases and especially the last one even in low trophy levels are always getting demolished. That last base is constantly getting 100% demolished even in the lowest legends League less than 5,200 trophies. The other bases aren't faring much better and my base is max level.
Nice layout but it will not hold against bats, especially dragbat… splash damage defenses aren’t spread enough, 3 single infernos, 4 ground xpows… this is a free triple for dragbat
6:40 mate I know u said this is for lower trophy range...but blizzard if the person is smart, they would drop a hound at 1 and then blimp from 2.30 to go "inside" that th compartment and they would get th with an scatter and if lucky the single...but overal I like the design...looks challenging for players who can't really plan in 30 sec
I’m not maxed yet and I sit around 5.5k. I went to check my defence and I’m only getting 3 starred. People 3 starring my base with hydra. It’s annoying cos I’m only losing trophies.
Great bases, and they'll defend greatly in low legends too. Also, what kind of bases should i run iTzu ? 80% of my defs are super bowlers and the rest 15% are hydra (3 clone or bliz) and the rest 5% are superdrags and e drags, Trophy range is 5.5 - 5.7k Hope you suggest a good base type to run
@@Speedster___ i tried teaser, box and ring bases, now i have a creative anti 2 base running and so far only 2 stars are being taken, only 2 3 stars in 2 days, but very high percentage like 80-90s, that's works pretty much for now i guess, i refresh bases every week or so
I feel like the last base might not works well on 5.4k, since there's a lot of Drag&Dragon Rider with Clone Ballon armies, it can really easily take down the entire town hall compartment.
Legends base is trying to defend common strategies which people use. And then there are war bases which are usually meant to defend all different types of strategies. And then pro bases (all about baiting certain attacks)
This is not a war base, but even if someone brought 7 lightning and 1 eq spells in war, that's a heavy spell investment, leaving only 6 spells to take down the rest of the base.
@@ibraheem1224 if you (the person attacking) can't take down a base that doesn't have scattershots and has only 2 infernos than I doubt you can take down the base completely.
