"So how's Grimrock?" "Absolutely amazing!" "... you're still in the main menu?" "Yeah." "... and you have been since I last talked to you?" "Yeah." "... which was two days ago?" "Yeah."
This brings back memories...shuffling through a playlist of game music I've made over the years xD...it's a shame this game never blew the fk up but there's always time! I swear if I ever get famous I'll mention and play this game so people can see lol
@@miikavihersaari3104 This song and this game is pure quality, it pains me to see many new games being so mutch worse, the problem is that Grimrock was made to be good, now games are made to make money
Well... Fort Boyard has an amazing theme music, having a lovely cello part, and that's been composed 20something years before GoT. So we know where both themes took their motifs. :)
How the right you are. Unfortunately, I've heard Almost Human have no plans to develop 3rd part, but they already have made a game called "Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest". I've never actually played it and it's not the same as Legend of Grimrock, but as is.
What a game Reminds me on DUNGEON MASTER and ULTIMA UDERWORLD. Greetings from Germany. i also like BLACK CRYPT on amiga (very goood) DungeonCrawlers4ever!
The first game Theme is SO much better than the second game, that sounds like a modern Hollywood soundtrack- Too epic and bombastic. I love the Cello or Doublebass in this it sounds much more organic and emotional. I always loved this theme and game and followed the development. I think the original composer said something like, that he had no idea but then it came to him (the theme) during a car drive which he noted on a small recorded but he was still unsure about how to "continue" the theme and it worked out pretty well i said. That Theme Melody is perfect!!!!
Great game! Even better if one have played Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder trilogy before so you can get all those little similarities and references in game mechanics.
Morrowind had amazing game music. Legend of Grimrock 2 had amazing game music. Skyrim had amazing game music. Oblivion had amazing game music. Halo had amazing game music. Both Mario Galaxy games had amazing game music. Legend of Grimrock 1 had the best game music.
My favourite game of all time is Thief: The Dark Project. I think Legend of Grimrock 2 would be my fourth, and Legend of Grimrock 1 my sixth. They'd better make a legend of Grimrock 3. If not... I'll still love them because they're amazing. I've often wanted to do things like that, unfortunately I've been in a similar position. I can do a lot of technical stuff, but sounds, textures, etc, I cannot do.
Indeed, this masterpiece's well written and made the game more deep and pleasant. Everyone I play the game I am sure to let the theme finish first before playing!
One of the best themes to one of the best games in recent crawler history but good god i cant be the only one who feels lile they dont go together very well.
I feel like it's mostly because of the relatively small size of the game. Legend of grimrock 2 has more fitting theme to its esthetic, but I still like this one much more.
@@GundogduTM 5 years now! Our wedding was fantasy themed, so we used lots of music from many games. I've never actually finished LOG - just love the music. It was the perfect waltz-like theme to time the entry of the Bridesmaids + Groomsmen entry, greeting, and march up to the front. 🙂
Played through original Dungeon Master 5 times and Chaos strikes back 3 times. Instantly loved this game. ...But i will skip the paper and pen map drawing this time.
Robert! Have you achieved what you were hoping for? It has been 7 whole years. You must be focusing on your goals on the current time being! We shall support you till you complete LoG
