​@@shadymerchant1198 I mean Lang literally just decides that he is going to help eliminate Reuenthal because he insulted him. It doesn't get more personal than that. Maybe one could argue that he was a decent guy if he wasn't so vindictive. It is hard to pick the biggest bastard of the LOGH but Lang seams to be it the top league right there with Trunicht, De Vile, Falk and perhaps some other that I left out. In fact Falk seams to be his FPA analogy. They both participated in killing of innocent people for personal reasons so in my opinion they are both equally bad people.

Reinhard was a willful and impulsive person who refused to obey he was justified often enough but a brat he still was LOGH is doing well though while not as popular as the mass media like AoT or similar shows its enjoying really good sales and views but it can always be talked about more

It should be grade school educational core material. That aside and its thematic brilliance in depiction of humanity and all its glamour and imperfection, the classical ost is remarkable. The classical music choreography is nearly the most incredible aspect of this masterpiece in that it humanizes the characters by utilizing some of, if not the most exquisite beautiful compositions of all time, particularly the choreography and use of the Dvorak Symphonies; it's utterly breathtaking. Just my 2 cents.

I assumed he was based on Admiral Yi Sun-Sin. The man who never lost a battle and constantly had a corrupt government getting in his way, constantly.

@@tcc5750 Admiral Yi doesn't have the playfulness though, and Yi had earlier campaigns against Jurchens so Chen's late blooming career fits better. Perhaps he's closer to Tanaka's originally draft where Yang's prototype was a more serious, seasoned veteran.

He was of noble birth. Nobles could fall on hard times and it was stated multiple times for a reason. "Some nobles moved in next door" was in the first flashback.

@@lithobolos Reinhard was born an Imperial Knight, a class in nobility with no inherent wealth and authority. In another words, Reinhard was just a commoner with "von" in his name when he was born. Also Reinhard's name when he was born was Reinhard von Musel, not Reinhard von Lohengramm. Musel is said Imperial Knight family, where Lohengramm is a nobility family name whose clan was pretty much dead by the time Reinhard received the name
