I read the nicci chronicles, and I'm on book 7 of the sword of truth series. It's a shame they changed so much from the books. They really are an incredible tale of Richard and kahlan and zedd and Verna.. My favorite series I ever found

@@ethantomblin7506 they apparently wanted to break it down into stand alone segments and loosely follow the story as told by Goodkind...but for those of us who read any of the series before this show was created can see how butchered it is in comparison. The book starts out with Richard investigating the death and murder of his father. There was a piece of an odd looking vine left in a jar that was shared between them for messages, this led Richard to the border wall. Richard saw the vine choking the trees at the border and when he went to remove it from one, the vine bit him (thus called the snakevine). While traveling home through the forest he saw Kahlan running down the hill opposite to where he was being pursued by 4 men. He aided her by taking her onto a hidden side trail, but the quad found them. Richard didn't see Kahlan use her Confessor magic on one of the quad members but that one killed one other with a sword and committed suicide/murder by jumping off the side of the cliff with the other leaving only one for Richard to dispatch. NONE were left alive to go to Richard's brother, nor Chase the Boundary Warden. Richard didn't think Zed was a crazy old man that talked to chickens either, they were longtime friends. Well, I wont say more. I advise reading the books first instead of watching this series...starting with the book Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind.

The first season was fantastic! The season finale was absolutely epic. Things fell off a bit in the second season though as they moved away from the source material.

@@TheScaper28 I have read the first 2 books and own both seasons and while I agree the books are amazing and they changed the story way too much for the show, the show was still quite good considering it was relatively small budget with not so well known actors at the time.

@@1986kalpa I like the books but only until the 6th one. After that, the series wend downhill for me. Book 7 was a waste and after that I just tried to keep up. They're still worth reading. I also like the tv series even if people said it was crap. It has very little to do with the books so I like to treat them as two different entities. Each has its own thing. I'd say the books are better tho. I still get chills when I watch the first episode during the intro. I was so excited for this show to come out. Kmart was still around. That's where I got the first book of the series. Anyways,I would sit there every Saturday or Sunday, can't remember the exact day, but I'd sit there waiting for it to come on.

Wow i have the same exact fate as you, i was 11yrs okd when i first watched the whole series but now im 16yrs old and watched the whole series 3times now, still hoping we'd get the 3rd season. What im afraid of is maybe theyre gonna take too long enough that the actors will get too old soon.

Instead, read the book series. It's WAY better and there is much more... The audiobooks in particular are really great. Look up Mundum Visum Sword of Truth Series Audiobook

It didn't really get cancelled. Both seasons were aired. I believe they were planning to do a third season, but it did materialize.

It came to a conclusion. I have the full series. It was great!!

Well, it isn't a movie, really. It was a TV series that had 2 seasons. And it gets better and better. I bought both seasons on DVD online. Worth every penny, as I don't know if every episode is available on RU-vid.

Just remember it's the "legend" of the Seeker. I've advised book fans to think of the tv series as either an alternate universe version, or the mis-translated writings of J. The movie version of The Last of the Mohicans butchered the book, but it's still a great movie.

I love both the show and the books, mainly because I feel like the two are so different, so it's easy to separate the two and not compare them too much.

The books are awesome, sometimes frustrating, but awesome. I was 3/4s of an hour into the movie before I realized it was those particular books. I definitely prefer redhead confessors... and there is no way this particular actor, in his current guise, can carry off the depth of Richards book character.

Yeah and to be honest it's not the worst that they kept that part out although they really could have just as well left it in. There are however other details and stuff that I really wished they would have stayed truer to the books. I loved the series however I feel they missed the mark on what could have been
