Legend of the Superstition Mountains Episode 7: The Four Amigos 

I have enjoyed watching the legend of the Superstition Mountains. I myself have been treasure hunting for the last twenty four years for a Spanish treasure. There is nothing like the hunt. While in Alaska I have found more gold than I ever did in Arizona. I learned how to prospect and find gold. The Dutchman found one of the seven mines that the Spanish had. The natives hid them all to keep people like you and I from their land. You all should try Alaska.You would have better luck there.

I think Tyler fell asleep in the safety briefing, because I know the team leader had to mention not to get separated. Hundreds of day dreaming people go missing in there, and mountain lions always snatch the critters that fall behind. Edit, as far as hikes go though, this one is pretty bush league, so maybe there really isn't any danger on this episode.

Keep the stuff going guys,its exciting to watch. The large stone above the creek is was probably used as a fortified camp site. The opening should be on the back side. Give you eyes for anyone coming along the creek,and time to prepare for flight or fight. Check it out, make it your camp for the same reason. Keeps you of the flood zone in case of a storm. Being Native I've heard that my whole life. Hearing a Screech owl at night is a bad omen. Usually means death is close. And from what I've learned growing up practically every other Native American Nation treats the screech of an owl with the same type of warning.

I was in the Superstitions as a kid in the early 50's. I found a piece of gold float quartz. I gave it to old man Hale who had the claims at Rich Hill.

In the early days before 1847, the natives moved seasonally with the food. They used grinding holes for seeds & pecked rock symbols to show where they harvested game. Survival food meant everything. The Spanish in the history I've read hid everything. Symbols & modified rock formations were reread upon returning to find their deposits & mines. In their group besides miners they had at least one college educated person to navigate on land with math, trigonometry, codes with a map! Just saying.

I don't understand why you guys didn't go back to the cave with the cross and the ladder. When episode 6 was done you had a celebration and planned to go back down the river and scale the cliff. Is going to be a rehash of Oak Island, just searching and never finding because I gave up on that.

Those upper caves I would drone fly them at the very least remember the spainish where multiskilled ropes lines and pulleys. To drop ore down to those hard stones. You might be mis reading grinders of corn for ore they used Indians as slaves

my dad used to drag me around tucson and WMAT in th 80s. future would provide plenty of reasons to spent time in the desert, so ultimately i appreciated it, i do it a little different tho. kevlar plate flipflops, loose poncho pumps air over you with every movement. owls aren't harbingers of death. smoke some weed, watch less television, get the bird telepathy. i don't need it but maybe an EVP "spirit box" would add an aspect to your shows. if you need a side destination, try ron quinn's time portal archway in the tumacacoris. have a map, got shot at a bunch, need offroad wheels.

Also, of everyone, Frank is actually best dressed/equipped in the entire group. He obviously takes this seriously. The creek area is so pretty! I hope we get to see more of that shrine too 👍! About those “grinding holes,” I have a theory, since in my area there is a river that floods in winter.....there are places where rocks actually drill holes in bigger rocks bcuz the water has a whirlpool or vortex effect. It starts with pebble sized rocks & as the hole gets bigger & bigger, larger rocks get caught in that vortex and grind the hole bigger. Just a thought...

Y'all ever hit that cave up on the cliffs in fish creek. It's around the bens straight up on the cliffs big ole sucker looks hard to get to I went alone and chickened out.

You might try one of the scope things for checking out caves and crevasses where it is real skinny area to go in. Also, think about a drone to check places out high up on cliffs.
