I know I'm like 4 years late, but Bananas did a fantastic job commentating this whole run, the couch seemed pretty quiet compared to other runs. Shame she hasn't appeared in more recent GDQ's.
+EricScarpi The problem is trying to find a reputable organization that does that sort of research. That's why they stick with Prevent Cancer for AGDQ and Doctors Without Borders for SGDQ. They've proven themselves to be reputable organizations that GDQ can trust. The gaming community already gets enough flack for existing, and events like this get no media coverage (seriously, somebody once tried to get a news organization to cover the GDQs and the organization told them flat out that they didn't care), so they need to be very careful about what organizations they back with their money. Also a "cure" for diabetes seems like it'd be pretty hard to do since diabetes is typically caused by the malfunctioning of an internal system which affects the people for the rest of their life.
+DameonStarflame yea I know... I'm not wanting to fight but there are several diabetes programs that do such a thing. I just would like to see others also get their, let's just say disabilities, taken care of. Or at least get some attention.
