Boss review Twilit Igniter, Fyrus Location: Goron Mines Fyrus is the second boss of Twilight Princess. At first glance, it was a tad bit disappointing, but there's some good aspects of this thing. Design: Right off the bat, we've got a giant black behemoth with a stone headdress with a yellow eye. Fyrus is currently asleep, but when Link enters, he wakes up and ignites. Battle: Before the battle initiates, you see some weaknesses that you can take advantage of. Fyrus was chained up and he's unable to take off said chains. The eye in his headdress is vulnerable to the Hero's Bow. Fire a well aimed shot to stun him. Before he gets too far, grab a leg chain, put on the Iron Boots (there's a magnetic field in the room that's barely visible), walk the other way, and trip the fiery beast. You'll then be able to strike the eye with your sword. Keep on doing it until he's defeated, reduced to a regular goron and gives you a Heart Container and the second Fused Shadow. Conclusion: I was a tad bit disappointed with the setting. Fyrus is a fire boss of a fire dungeon. I was expecting a fire element in the boss room and not just on Fyrus. His battle is still quite fun especially trying to grab the chain to trip him up. But it irks me that there's no fire element in the room. That's really my only complaint though. Fyrus you get... *7/10*

Fyrus, -yet another- boss with wasted potential like, COME ON! 1/4 of a Heart when you touch him, and no knockback? EDIT: Looking back, this comment aged... decently? It's not "yet another" boss, but it's still very disappointing that touching him doesn't send you flying through the room with one heart less or smn.

The way it’s not so obvious you need to use the iron boots and you can’t help him after you defeat him is exactly why this game was rated T. 2nd dungeon!

The bosses from this Zelda game had too much inspiration from the Lord of the Rings. This is a very obvious one and we can even see Sauron's eye on the crystal in the middle of his head when the boss was activated :-p

These bosses are cool, but they need to be made WAY harder. Far too easy.

Nope, not gonna lie. The only reason I'm here is Josh Busker's "64 Things Wrong with Twilight Princess" episode 2 of... I think 7. And Josh was right, this *IS* a letdown! Only thing missing is the Ocarina of Time Volvagia/King Dodongo boss music
