The parts are pretty sturdy, much moreso than my Motif Luna valves and all that so I’m sure they would, I’ve used the microwave sterilization bags with mine and it seemed to be fine!
Thanks for making this video it was much better and easier to see parts versus the websites video. Looking forward to your pump bag video. I just ordered my Imani pumps from Black Friday sale so I’m super excited. I was very unhappy with my Elvie pumps and my spectra is the only one to empty me. Which hospital grade pump do you use?
Thank you for the comment! I use the Motif Luna with the rechargeable battery, I hear it’s very similar to the Spectra. I hope you enjoy your Imani’s!! If you have the time Id press the power button again right after it finishes if you’re still not empty, it’ll hold up to 7 Oz too!
Hey thanks for responding! And yes they are very similar I actually tried the motif Lina without the battery (thought it had one when purchased second hand) and it seems stronger but the pattern is different from spectra also. I am very excited for my imanis! I also have the Zomee Z2 pump I am excited to try it with the hands free caps as well as that pump worked well for me too, and smaller than the spectra so good for on the go. I will definitely try that as I have an oversupply and at night I can easily get 8oz usually mostly from my right since I would nurse the left during pumping. I will just pause and pour as I go since it has an easy pour spout! I tried the Elvie and needed to take apart the bottle and valve to pour of the spout and even then there would be milk trapped so the spout would need to come off too. Hoping this is a game changer!! Okay more questions-are you able to use the refrigerator method with the cups and the connector still attached? (Not the motors). Or do they need cleaned and dried each time like other pumps? I pump frequently throughout the day and am not always near a sink. Currently use a cooler bag with ice bricks to keep my spectra parts fresh and my milk cold while out and about. Hoping to do the same with the Imani especially for upcoming trip to Knotts Berry Farm.
I personally haven’t tried the refrigerator method to use multiple times so wouldn’t be able to offer any insight unfortunately, I will say that after being emptied the flange to connector area does have some visible milk remaining (not a ton, but noticeable). When I was out during the holidays I put the used cups and milk in a cooler bag and the cups didn’t shift or make a mess even though they weren’t in a ziploc and weren’t cleaned til I got home. Hope that helps! Also, the spout where you poor the milk out of is pretty clean too and it doesn’t require too much disassembly to empty so it may be easy enough to travel/reuse the cups
Yes!! Thank you that is very helpful. Next weekend we will be spending the day at a Knott’s with my family and I will only have a cooler with my pump bag so I’ve been practicing at home getting used to handling my milk throughout the day without needing much resource. Also find having to unscrew my bottles to pour my milk can be an inconvenience also especially if I have no where safe/clean to set my bottles and parts down during the process so this way I figure I can take out one pump at a time, pour into a bag and then proceed to take them apart and anything left in the part I can always add to the bag while disassembling them.
