Yeah you dont get crowds like this anymore, cause battling has changed. It used to be all done in the circle, but now battles mainly take place on stage. There is a feeling of disconnection from the action when its on stage, as opposed to being in your face on the floor. Man its been ages since i've been accidentally kicked by some dude going off in a circle.
I remember this like it was yesterday. One of my 5 favorite 1 v 1s of all time. At this time both these dudes were at the top of the food chain as far as the scene went (in my opinion) back then. I scored it 4-3 Moy with 3 ties that could have gone either way and I'd be ok with it. I thought Cloud played it smarter saving some signature blowups toward the end but was gassed out. But Moy showed he was savvy and extremely well conditioned and most of his rounds were well-rounded. To go 10 rounds like that is insane. Unheard of today... Round 1- Moy Round 2- Cloud Round 3- Tie (maybe Moy?) Round 4- Moy Round 5- Tie Round 6- Tie (maybe Cloud?) Round 7- Cloud Round 8- Moy Round 9- Cloud Round 10- Moy
Moy played a smarter game and won hands down. 10 rounds is a lot, so the short rounds imitated a cypher battle, and Moy nailed it. Cloud ended up repeating a lot and got really sloppy in comparison. What helped Moy on top of that was attitude. Moy looked in control. Cloud was just hanging on. Tons of respect for both, but this wasn't close.
even though this is super old I still like how it gives a message that no matter how dope these guys are now to this day, it shows that they are still human and have worked their way up to where they are now. At the end of the day we are all equals so just believe in yourself, never compare, have fun, and work hard for your goals but don't lose sight of yourself in the midst of that hard work.
He would just give up and rest. Or go to see doctor or something. But he didn't. He respected his opponent and the fans. Continued to the end. RESPECT!!!
Moy had alot more consistency, but I'm not sure if that was because Cloud was to tired or was saving his energy for those last two sets those were pretty nice, a big finish is always what judges like. Either way really close call
Cloud was tired, it was so obvious. If there were only lesser rounds, he would not have to expend his dance vocabulary so conservatively for the last few rounds. Cloud FTW~
I'm a big cloud fan but i think moy's consistency won this battle... Cloud was getting tired and his moves started getting sloppy... I'd say moy won this although i would be happier if cloud won this :P
He lost his stamina because he felt he had to do so much in first couple sets because he felt that’s what he needed to do to keep up Moy rounds. I keep reading if it was fewer rounds Cloud would ve won nah Moy would ve just done more in those rounds at that time Moy was top of game with Crumbs Reveal Ruen
These guys are not legends legends are the ones that created it started it. This is just abunch of footwork its boring .A top street dancer can beat a break dancer .Most break dancers cant wave tick pop & lock shake etc. I can dance better then this i won a micheal jackson contest at 16 .😄
