@@jessethompson1545 A little of both. It comes in fairly straight, but he uses a blow-dryer and/or straightening brush to groom it. See other videos for how-to examples.

As much of a consummate professional as Jake is and as expert as his talents are, it's always fun to see the inevitable ever-so-slight look of panic in Greg's eyes whenever he is having a considerable style change done. It's so subtle, but it's there, lol. That said, Jake did a great job as always. Fantastic look, Greg.

@@thompson9400 I'm sure I messed up a few trims in the beginning but that is how you learn. You make a connection with your beard and you learn along the way. No other person can cut your beard the way you will. You can envision how you want it to look in the end but the barber will have their own vision and it might not be what you expect. It's hit and miss.

Finally a barber who understands mustaches! I get that letting the stach grow looks more "natural" but it's also makes eating/drinking a task, also forget your wife wanting to kiss ya 🤣. A trimmed but still full mustache makes you look younger and want to keep the beard longer 😏

This is exactly what I'm doing with my beard as well - while growing it out (I'm at 4 months now) I'm keeping the mustache short and trimmed to the top lip - it stops you from looking old and, especially, untidy. Plus I can't stand when the hairs grow over my top lip, really bugs me.

Everybody is saying that the mustache was ruined. It wasn't, its just changed. Its a diferent style of mustache. It sure does look less natural or glorious, but it looks more elegant and makes greg look younger!

I felt that too. I think he took too much from the stache. He went way above the uper lip area and left too much uncovered skin under the mustache.

He didn't ruin the moustache at all. Anybody who goes from a long tache to a short one like that ALWAYS looks weird at first, especially when you haven't seen it for a while. I think a longer tache suits Greg more but that don't mean Jake ruined it.

Jake, do you prefer using the Magic Clip over ur Andis Masters in general? I notice u use the the cordless Seniors for most bulk and over-comb work but switch between the magic and masters for ur blends.

Beautiful cut! I would try to grow sideburns so much: it made me nervous watching you trim them. I’d grow a wild mop just so the barber could make me some nice chops and boom! They’d whack them off! So bummed. Now I’m just cultivating a beard. Thank you again for the amazing guidance!
