Having played college and a short lived pro career, especially as a goalkeeper (though I played center attacking midfield as well), there's no greater free kick than Roberto Carlos's monster ripp from almost 40 out that curved about 7 feet. The greatest free kick of all time!

So mant astounding free kicks in this list, it is impossible to pick one above the rest BUT Roberto Carlos's banana kick defied physics and from such long range, it has to take the crown ... although, for me, the skill factor in the Le Tiss free kick was my personal favourite .... amazing stuff !
