I can confirm that legendary customers do exist. I worked in a shop where on rare occasions a man from an embassy would come and buy pretty much a quarter of everything in stock. He would always bring 2 assisants. Everyone would stop what they were doing to assist them. He didn't speak a word of English so would simply point at something and show on his fingers how many he wanted......always spent at least £500 or way more
If I went to a store and the employees acted like this (along with the BLAZING JUSTICE/spontaneous human combustion) they would have a customer for life in me.
GrahamChapman I've achieved near-legendary status after I purchased a rare transformer, in unbelievably good condition, for a ridiculously cheap price. People I never even met/seen before knew who I was!
Konata doesn't need to focus on schoolwork, she's so good at judging whether an anime or manga is good that they all pine for her to buy one. She should get paid for doing this!!
To be exact, this IS the spin off/spoof (It's a running joke/manga that runs somewhere in Animate. And it was sponsor of the show. The manga artist found out after the fact that his work made it into anime. Should've seen his reaction in twitter :-p)
Remember that time Sugita made a cameo as an anime store clerk that tried to sell merchandise of that one character he voiced competing with a character voiced by Tomokazu Seki that also sells merchandise of the character he voiced? Yeah, Lucky Star was that meta.
All of this sales/convention hype in this video reminds me of something that's chewed for a while now (Sorry for the long, ranting post, y'all, but I've gotta get it off my chest... TwT ) A while ago, I was at a convention, and I had picked up some books I was interested in at in one of the manga dealers - Then, in my blurred mindset, had completely forgotten I was carrying them and started to walk away. One of the employees stopped me and decided to 'guide' me back to the manga section, and it was obvious that she thought I was stealing (and I can't blame her for thinking that, of course). Over some inner bickering with myself, I decided to put the books back after all as opposed to buying them, but I still felt really bad for seemingly attempting to cheat them, even when I didn't mean to...! I apologized to the employee sincerely, but it still itches at the back of my head! Nice employee lady, wherever you are, I'm sorry! TTwTT
That reminds me when i was buying some stuff at the self checkout register at walmart and then received a phone call. I got distracted that i went out of the story and didnt paid the items, and i was like oh shit...well atleast i saved some money.
I wore a $25 ear muffs right out of a clothing shop and only notice 25 mins later while walking around the shopping mall. I walk back right in and put it back of the shelf that is right next to the counter, no one saw me leave and no one saw me put it back lol. I was wondering why my ear was so comfy
For those hunting for the song used in this scene here's a summary of my investigation so far: It seems they have released 12 total CDs that contain specifically the background music for the anime, most of it composed by Satoru Kōsaki. It appears that these CDs were released with the DVDs in Japan. I found a full list of the song titles (there's a wikipedia article for Lucky Star albums) and have searched extensively for them. Unfortunately I was only able to confirm that this particular tune is not on CDs 1-5, as I could not locate all the songs from CDs 6-12 online. If the song exists anywhere on its own it would be somewhere on CDs 6-12
I think the actual Animate Japan logo is the guy with in the hat with black hair😂 I've seen a few drawings of him inside an Animate too. Poor guy could never sell to Mysterious Girl A but he's sold to tons of other normal folk lol 😂😂😂
6:14 - This part kills me every time by laughter overdose XD I just love how the whole mood (and animation) gets flipped around when these dudes step in 8D
When Tencho and His Friend Promoted Pin up of Sousuke and Kyon..they actually promoting themself..Tomokazu Seki and Sugita voice them too. THIS IS 4D CHESS MOVE I LOVE YOU LUCKY STAR..AND THEY BOTH TOMOKAZU
That's exactly why "Store Staff Sugita (as per with cast list)" is holding Kyon card while Store Manager is holding Sousuke card for exactly the same reason (as you can guess, Store Manager is voiced by Tomokazu Seki, the cast of Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic) The real kicker is that the day after original broadcast, Animate held "As a Matter Fact, We Do Have Them Deadstocked, Help" Sale. no idea if they got rid of the deadstocked cards, but some viewers willingly pitched in for their honesty :-p
