Lata Mangeshkar was God's gift to the entire subcontinent of India.Wherever Hindi or Urdu knowing people lived around the world, her voice always was a bliss for those. She had recorded songs in various languages of India. May God bless her soul with eternal peace !
if music and culture can bring the sub continent together, why not? why not? after all, the soul of the continent is embeded together with shared culture, traditions and history . why not have a tribute to Lataji concert with singers from india , pakistan, bangladesh, nepal , sri lanka, bhutan or maldives even? all singing to songs of lataji. that would be a perfect tribute to her contribution. maybe we can invite the leaders of these nations to attend. keep aside politics and religion. and this would be a moment that can live in the hearts and minds of all nations in the sub continent for a long long time. i believe it can happen.
Really she was legend she is irreplaceable.....she remain queen of melodies for decades.. such achievements can't be gain easily... and her memories can't be vanished
I am seventy now. I remember the very first song I heard at the age of five was a Lata Mangeshkar number from the film Naagin, man dole mera tan dole mere dil ka gaya karaar.
Her best tribute was from a fellow legend Bade Ghulam Ali Sahib, when he said "Khambakht kabhi be-surri nahi hoti". This too was a great tribute to her from another legend, Sohail Sahib

99% of the songs she sang (and bollywood movie songs of golden era) were in Urdu. She was a good singer but it is the Urdu language and song writers writing in Urdu that made her a legend. This song is also written by writer who is considered a great Urdu literary figure. As such I would not confine her a region or a country but the whole Urdu speaking world.
Brother she sang many songs in Marathi , bangali . Whole Bangladesh and south India don’t knows her for Hindi or Urdu songs but her regional songs . She sang 25000 song in 36 languages so stop this nonsense
@@MM-fe7zg UP is now state of India and in Bollywood they use hindi urdu all language for movies N songs second how u calculate this 99% data? Do u know the total number of songs sung by her??
THOSE WHO REJECT FAITH, ... neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah. They are themselves but fuel for the Fire. (Their plight will be) no better than that of the people of Pharoah, and their predecessors. They denied Our Signs, and Allah called them to account for their sins, for Allah is strict in punishment. Say to those who reject Faith: "Soon will ye be vanquished and gathered together to Hell, ... an evil bed indeed (to lie on)! 🔥 (Holy Quran 3 / 10 .... )
