Legendary Overall King James West 2021 Spotlight Part 1 

This 2021 Spotlight Series will focus on the fathers of today and yesteryear in the scene. We will talk about their personal ballroom history, their ballroom journey, and their insight into their house. I had the opportunity to sit down with the Overall Father & Founder of the House of West, Lil James.
James has been in the ballroom scene for over 15 years and even though it wasn’t his plan to be part of the progressive change in the ballroom scene, that’s what he has accomplished. He said to me "I want to embrace what ballroom was made and built off of from the shade to the love! I have won over $20,000 in cash prizes and have well over 40 OTY’s over my time of being in ballroom. Outside of the ballroom, I have a career that allows me to look out for adolescents between the ages of 15-24 in and outside of the LGBTQIA community. "
