Legendary sports bettor Billy Walters sat down with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and gave his take on what he'd wager for Super Bowl 58. READ MORE: www.reviewjour...
The funny thing is that so many people like Julian Edleman bet on the game and Billy was right there at Radio Row!! JE put $5k on the 9ers. They all had access to Billy because he was at Radio Row in Vegas. I mean he’s right there…I would’ve asked him his thoughts 😅.
Bingo I just was watching him on Rogan found this clip I was in Vegas for the super bowl I just bet chiefs money line +105 I was kind of curious why he took the points though since he considers 2 or 2.5 a dead number that the games only going to land on 2% of the time but at -110 odds which means the dead number is actually costing him 1.15 in odds for a number that will only land 2% seems to me like not the greatest bet id rather risk that 2% for +105 but I'm also not Billy Walters lol
Billy’s comments are better than all of the other talkshows combined. wonderful show! how do you equate a +2 1/2 11/10 with a money line play on the dog ?
@@allans7281That’s a combination of historical data and personal inputs. There are academic papers online that can walk you down the road if you’re willing to do the work.
@@allans7281 He probably doesn’t even know the formula, he employs some of the best mathematicians around and just does what they tell him in terms of what has value and what doesn’t. The conversation chart is in his book though
All my Super Bowl bets over the past decade since Super Bowl 50 have been QB vs. QB. Yes, it's that simple. I only lost once when the 2017 Eagles (I mean, nondescript lucky bums) beat Brady and the Patriots. Brady threw for 505 yards and still lost. It was an abberation - an anomaly that will never happen again. The hardest bet I had was Super Bowl 56: Stafford vs. Burrow. I picked Stafford simply due to his longevity in the league. So far, I'm 8-1 all-time.
Why doesn’t anyone ever mention how KC laid an egg against the raiders packers and lions. Barely scraped by the Bills and then didn’t score the whole 2nd half at BAL. Plus injuries
The chiefs hit the switch late in the season, I think this team has reached the point where it’s hard for them to get motivated for regular season games. Also they scraped by Buffalo and didn’t score in the 2nd half Vs Baltimore on the ROAD in two very difficult places to play in crappy weather. Now they play on a neutral field in a dome.
The only thing I can tell you he's wrong about is the Baltimore-Kansas City game. He said Baltimore didn't adjust to Kansas City's offense. The reality is that the fix was in on that game. Somehow, somewhere, the NFL made sure the Chiefs were going to win that game. That's what they do, make sure the highest rated players play in the highest rated games. The fix was in for the Kansas City Swifters...
3 choked teams. add: commanders, seahawks, cardinals. THe NFC is the little girl of football conferences. If you can't beat those 6 teams you are pretty sad.
The dude obviously "knows his stuff." For me, the best bet is KC and the points, FIRST HALF! 49'RS trailed 24-7 against Detroit, Packers covered the point spread in the first half, in game against Rams, Rams plus points won the first half [tied 13-13], and The Commanders won the full game, as did the Rams, although neither game "counted" as SF was resting players. But still. Scary part is, years ago in a key playoff game between Miami and the Panthers, coach Jimmy Johnson had the superior staff and best roster, including Dan Marino at QB. Panthers won 62-7.
I'm a 49ers fan and I feel the same way. I'm not going to bet KC on principle, but "having the QB and kicker on my side" is definitely something I agree with
@@MurrayPeeps Film don't lie. Look at Mahomes drops and misses. Why does he scramble when the route is open? Why did Brady beat him? Did Brady throw while falling down better? Did Brady throw with odd arm angles better? Did Brady scramble better? Or did Brady make better reads and throws?
He makes a great point about the niners getting injured... They are all healthy but as soong as CMC gets a knee tweeked or Deebo gets his shoulder bruised the whole offense is in a lot of trouble... I'm a Niner fan but i can easily see that happening Chiefs play dirty and in the middle of a tackle they shove Deebo hard into the turf on his shoulder and its GG chiefs win sn 58 easy
Actually, the Chiefs playing in -7 degree temperatures and winning helped prepare them for games like this. Just remember the you can never count Patrick out, and this is the healthiest he’s been for a Super Bowl and not trying to win it on one leg like last year.
And it’s not an advantage for Mahomes the most talented player on the field? The windy and cold weather slows Mahomes down at times like it does to everyone
Anyone who has read the book/kindle or audiobook: Question if you have spread at 1.5 but line is -4 on the other team. I am crossing zero do I include 1 according to his chart? I did not include 1 I included 2,3, and half of 4. which is 12 1/2 which qualifies for a bet, this is for the min/phx game 3 according to sonny moore's power rankings, which he mentioned in the book.
For god sakes, bet an amount you can afford to lose and enjoy the game, if you think your going to make a living sports betting then you are a fool, it’s for entertainment, treat it as entertainment and it will be something you can enjoy
To America, this is the champions league final and he is taking Kansas City to win by 2 or more. Kansas City is a 2 point underdog but he thinks they will cover or over perform the expected margin by 4. He is also planning on risking 500,000 or more.
people are so naive. at -110 by his own admission he wins about 56% of the time. We pick at 50%. The key to gambling is to bet within your budget and don't chase loses. You have a better shot of being a professional athlete as you do to be as good as this guy and even he loses some months. I guess he's only had one losing year in last 30 years but by his own admission he went broke countless times before he figured it out.
Brock is good, but anyone thinking he'll outplay Mahomes doesn't know football. Plus he'll have to be playing against a great defense, in case anyone wants to forget about the Christmas game
The commissioner of the NFL works for the 32 owners of all 32 teamsand to let this Super Bowl be as expensive as it is, it's just down right b******* After this game is done, people will be talking. More about how much they got ripped off. Even the players aren't happy. Never have another super bowl in las vegas after this debacle
@Hayneye808 I can't wait til chiefs up 7-0 and all that pressure starts weighing on the forty whiners on losing yet another superbowl. Good luck... you gonna need alot of it.
i like SF but they got torched last few games..still at least won.. KC i believe is holding teams to an average of 13-14 pts per game.: last 3 and even though Miami and Bills were banged up, still great offenses including Ravens
lifetime gambler, zero stability in his life. Always having to make a choice which will make you or break you. Might have been wrong 3,000 times in his 75 year existence, but the fact that he has been right 3,001 times makes him a winner........
I think people have been listening to Wilbur Harrison’s song Kansas City a little too much! How about Scott McKenzie and San Francisco…be sure to wear niners picks in your hair!
It looks like Billy is trying to move the line to me. 😂😂😂 And I’m taking the 49ers and the points. And he is forgetting the last time they played one another this year. The 49ers won.
Niners blowout 42-17 chiefs; Super Bowl 58 5+8 = 13, win goes to quarterback 13 whose team adds to 13 4 +9😅= go niners; prophecy Goliath goes down with 2+3 =5 stones of David , omg that’s cmc running; Jesus wins😊
@@neilwilliams3639 let me prove it… 60 mins Billy showed his NFL betting skills. He bet $60k on one side to change the line so he could bet more the opposite way. THAT IS A 🤡
