Astoundingly bad play by that GK captain. He was in the dream scenario for a GK, with the cyclone blocking detection until he could close to 8 km from the Yamato. All he had to do was sail in at an angle, letting the 50 mm section of his bow mitigate the damage from Yamato's guns, pull up beside him, and send 12 shells into the citadel. Instead, he did just about everything wrong, as if he was begging to be sent to the bottom of the ocean as fast as possible. On the other hand, incredibly well played by the Yamato captain, a remarkable achievement!

You are giving GK players far too much credit. The majority of them are laughably awful and serve as nothing more than damage farms.

I hate that kurfürst players. Instead of rushing yamato and sink her, he decides to show his whole broadside and run away. GUYS Kurfürst is not that bad as you think. Kurfürst is the most dangerous ship in close quarters battle! Btw good play. He's got his own RNG on his side.

Same here, GK beats yama in a knife fight with his hand tied behind his back. 1 salvo to the cheek and Yama is a goner.

I mean if the GK was going to run away, why even engage the Yamato in the first place? If running away was the priority he could have done it under the cover of the cyclone. Going around in circles in front of a Yamato isn't going to help against anything. Of course the optimal move would have been angling in and blapping the ever living shit out of the Yamato at point blank range.

It takes 4 things to get damage like this. 1. Skill, obviously 2. Really bad players on enemy team 3. Bad players on your own team, so they dont steal too much damage from you 4. Luck

Like what, we still see the deplorable level of players on this game. A yamato broadside. A GK who could largely rusher on the blank being 5 km from him. A missouri who turns around showing his side to yamato. A resume that comes on yamato rather than running away .... not difficult to do so much damage.

The moment yamato willingly took brawl with GK was an extremely questionable decision.. You simply cant count on your opponent being this bad. Even 500 alpha player got a serious chance to just panic and rush/ram you.

only way to not loose in a yamato in close combat quarters against a GK is to ram it otherwise if hp are about the same you just get blapped once you give broadside, which you definetly will.

Besides being this a boring game, I can't keep but wondering how in hell a player in a Yamato (tier 10, mind you), with such poor target selection, terrible aiming (even to broadsided ships), and lack of situational awareness, gets such a score.... perhaps this is why I haven't opened WOWs in weeks... And don't get me started on the "red" team... gosh!
