HOLY CRAP. They were one of my favorite pro adagio teams, seeing them skate like this is mind-blowing! Anita especially is fearless as ever! This made my week 😁
Wow !! Amazing amount of trust going on here. Totally captivating. She has the Most Adorable smile I've ever seen (other than on children) !! 9.88 score, well done. 👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🎁🎁🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the recommendation! Looked up that routine - fantastic! For anyone else who might love to see more of this pair from many years ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zDgCQc38yQw.html
its so interesting to see what theyre better at and worse at at their age. like, their coordination isnt as good as they probably were in their prime, but they seem to have no trouble with lifts.
For some reason i could see my folks doing this in secret I had no idea my parents could cut a rug till a cousin got married and i felt like they lived a secret life unbeknownst to me... I bet they moonlight as skaters too 👀
15,000 shows in their career? or 1500. 68 years is close to 25,000 days. Even a joined total of 15,000 means that 7500 shows per person, and that roughly equates to roughly 2 shows per week from a skating age if i have done the maths correctly. Crazy
I asked them the same thing! Here’s how they explained it: “When we worked Cypress Gardens we did 4 shows a day (30 minute shows). If we did a fair date we did 5 to 6 shows a day. And all the years they did theatre shows it was 2 shows a day, 6 days a week for a year contract.” 15,000 is just what they’ve done together, but they used to skate with other partners too. Anita herself has done closer to 30,000. It doesn’t seem as improbable when you realize they used to do 11 shows in 3 days. 😱
