Exactly my thoughts. The Legion soldiers at Dien Bien Phu suffered horrendous casualties over a long period of time but continued to fight long after most units would have packed up and ran. As a veteran I consider these men my respected brothers in arms. Say something like Del's comment to anyone who knows the Legion and you will get more than you bargained for. Your remark about keyboard commandos is dead on the money. Serve your country and then you will understand what it is all about. Until then keep your juvenile comments to yourself.

William Styers The Battle of Dien Bien Phu Indochina War in 1954 was very savage, all the Indochina campaigns are legendary. I never served in the Legion but know a little of their history. Kudos Bill and Vive La Legion Etrangere!
