your FPS mode guide was MUCH needed. Thank you so much. I didn't know that you could map individual keystrokes. Now I can start duke nukem 3D and all those 90s pc games on gog without a keyboard, I'll just map a button to the "1" key. Incredible guide, as it told me exactly what I needed. Keep it up!

@@okestgamer heck yeah I’m loving it so far. The graphics and the frame rate are incredible but maybe it’s just that way for me not really having done anything with PC before. I do find it easier to wanna play than having to get set up to play in front of the TV.

When putting the controllers back in place you can press the same button you pressed to pull them off initially and it will go back to place much easier (and probably better for the buttons "health")

got it yesterday still setting up not easy and i am no digital idiot got also a steamdeck this plays games out the box compare to legion go , i really love how it feeld and i know what you can do with it that's why i love channels like this so a sub and like is more than deserved

Thank you for the guide! I have looked into gaming handhelds for quite some time, but never pulled the trigger on it. Getting the Legion Go as i think its ripe enough to invest into it. Will follow ypur guide once it arrives this week. Do you have a guide specific to the Legion Go on making an image backup and how to reinstall windows?

No problem man, it’s a great time to jump into the handheld scene. Unfortunately I do not have a guide on windows recovery. Most pc guides should be relevant here though on that regard.

@@okestgamer I wanted to get one pre-steamdeck days, but there wasnt anything with enough juice and windows based, so i kinda forgot about it. Since i started playing Palworld i really thought this would be nice to play on. Thanks for all the guides, made me confident to make my choice. As for the backup, i thought running acronis image software to backup at times like on a pc. Reinstalling i would guess could be boot from ssd or usb stick as long there is an option in the bios to change the boot order. What brand of ssd do you recommend? Not sure if installing games is better on the internal or external storage, but if better internal, id use the ssd as a general storage.

Thank you so much. Its a very helpful video. I received my GO yesterday and starting downloading games overnight. I pressed the power to turn the screen off before i go to bed but i didn't know that will put into sleep mode. So no games were being downloaded overnight 😅😅 This morning I turned the "put into sleep mode and hibernate mode" from 5 minutes to "never". And just let the screen turns off after 3 minutes to let it running for downloading games. I think you can include this in your next video.

First, okest gamer, thanks so much for the beginners guides as theyve been a tremendous help. Ive followed all of that advice...next step...play a game...and im frozen lol (not the device...me). Anyone here have any suggestions or recommendations for how to get going? What to play first? Ive not even activated the xbox trial yet as not to waste any time on it until i actually play something (though have explored the other stores which, thus far, are somewhat overwhelming). Are free games here really free, or akin to free on android where it often becomes pay to play once engaged with the game? When the stores offer a free game on special, does it remain free if you add it to your library, just as if youd purchased it? These are just example questions really...any thoughts or advice anyone may have to help with diving in would be most appreciated. Thank you!!

No problem man, glad to help those joining the scene. I would suggest starting with the free gamepass and trying out a few games on there. It has a pretty decent amount of games you can just download and play without purchasing.

So this one is a power it in and get it setup for windows and some very basics. The day 1 guide is some software that would be helpful after. Beginners guide is for those who are totally new

It should stop charging the device when it is complete. I believe there may be a colour code for the power button that indicates when full, I can’t recall the colour. Check your user manual for that particular colour code

Sometimes the buttons are swapped with the top buttons and bottom left buttons. See if they are just at the bottom left controller.now

Just got my Legion Go today and am having issues already. For some reason, the touch screen doesn't work, so i'm unable to get through the setup. How do i fix that?

That's pretty odd. So this is not working in any environment? Might have a defective unit. I would suggest exchanging for a new one. I'm of course assuming you've reboot the device and the issue is still present

I just got mine, when controllers are attached, can I only navigate around windows with my fingers on the screen or with the touchpad? not with like the buttons etc?

Yup the track pad can be tapped or long pressed to do a left click or right click

You only need the amd driver and the legion space app. The rest are all good to go

You can download and play. Sometimes it wants to authenticate online, I've found it's usually wanting a connection. There is a way to set offline access I believe

Yup all of this will work. You can also get a dock and connect it to a monitor

Yes I think it would be wise. You can order a Lenovo y700 screen protector for more options. It’s the same screen.

I just bought one yesterday and got it all setup, but for some reason when I try to play "Super cyborg" via steam the controller is not responding! I guess some games my not work right away with the control of the legion handheld any suggestions

I would see if the controller is setup as xinput in legion space. That should work

Just got some notifications from older messages. It comes with 3 months of Xbox game pass. If you bought your games for PC then they should work. Xbox series games will not transfer.

You can play it on steam, you’ll need to download the steam store and then you can purchase and play it from there

Sometimes it glitches where it won't pop up. Windows issue. You can try tapping the input bar (where you need to type) if that doesn't work try rebooting

Okay so I'm trying to play Fortnite. But my mic piece just refuses to even acknowledge it's plugged in? I've ran all the tests in Windows settings and it even shows the mic is plugged in and working, but as soon as I open Fortnite, it just doesn't work. Voice chat is enabled in Fortnite. Someone please help. It's driving me crazy and nothing I find online helps.

Sorry man, no idea why that wouldn't be working. If windows recognizes it and it's detected then it might be the game. Sometimes discord can mess with audio, so if you had that open maybe try with it closed.

I think you can press 'legion key left' and 'x' to pull up keyboard. If not reboot and you should be back at the start

Any chance of getting help with DirectX error? I tried playing Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 2008 and the Legion Go doesnt want to play it. Iv updated everything and it still wont play even tho I have the most updated DirectX. 😢😢😢

One way you can do this is to create a local account and use that (non Microsoft cloud). There is another method that I have not setup yet, but I believe you need to modify some settings a little deeper in the device (probably registry).

These guides will always be out of date software-wise eventually. It’s mostly aimed at helping beginners get the device up and running (windows setup, general tour of legion space). It will be out of date this week again with the next update coming out on the 15th

Depends on the game. If a game has a setting for inner deadzone, turn it all the way down

@@swaggerdd9934 you’ll need an email to set it up and usually they send a verification email that you will need to click a link to verify. After that it should be good to go for steam. I’m not sure why epic would crash. Does the game start at all or won’t boot.

I think it depends which game store you play with. For steam, there is an option to switch controller order. For some of the others they don’t seem to have that built in

When I’m playing in a car and I open the start menu it closes itself out all the time. When I’m playing at home and I’m not shaking in a car the menu stays up. Has anyone else noticed this?
