Salve Regina! I am a new convert to Catholicism and I am considering moving from an auxiliary member to a full member. Now I'm realizing the full weight of what is being asked of me. This is clearly not some club that says a few prayers - this is a serious undertaking.
That was a big inspiration for me to be more committed as a Legion of Mary in my prayer life and the apostolate and in what I do daily at home and at work. Again thank you so much, Fr. Hugh. Pray for the Philippines.
very impressed with Fr Gillispie explanation on the step by step of Legion of Mary's Prasedium meeting. i am particularly impressed that he teaches on how to pray the rosary in unison, to unite as one in prayer to our Lady. i have been waiting for someone to explain how a group should pray, no one should go fast but be heard as one voice and we pray imagining Our Lady is in person in front of us. thank you Fr. Gillispie, i am now a better Legion of Mary member because of your simple but very effective explanation.
Thank you Fr. for enlightening me regarding one’s commitment to attend the meeting on the presidium and curia level. It also means participation regularly and constant and active.
+JMJ...Praise God to all responsible for sharing this series! Particularly heartfelt gratitude to Father Gillespie for so clearly explaining the ideals of this lay apostolate. My involvement as an active member from December 1989 to October 2013 in Norfolk/Richmond Virginia was spiritually and physically challenging BUT my membership built a firm foundation of faith for me which is currently supporting me in the visually beautiful but spiritually destitute desert of Arizona. I pray daily that Our Lord Jesus and Blessed Mother Mary with Servant of God, Frank Duff, will send a priest as zealous as this priest to my part of the world. Please God! 🙏🙏🙏 Something else, I am going to search for an expose on Frank Duff's book, "Miracle on Taps." May God through the intercession of Blessed Mother Mary and our Legion of Mary Saints intercede for us. ALL for Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Really need this talk for all our old and new members....sort of orientation and review of what we already have.... Thanks Fr. Hugh for finding your video talk and files...when i visited thru internet the Concilium....
Áve María, grátia pléna, Dóminus técum. Benedícta tū in muliéribus, et benedíctus frúctus véntris túi, Iésus. Sáncta María, Máter Déi, óra pro nóbis peccatóribus, nunc et in hóra mórtis nóstrae. Ámen.
I am a past officer in the Legion of Mary at curia level & Senatus level.. I live in Ohio but no Legion . I have not checked with diocese because am not able to be active. But would like to be auxiliary. I'm disappointed.
Hi Fr Gullispie, can we use this video of yours for our Legionaries to view it? Can we break it into parts so as to view them on different meetings.... very good reminder for us.
Just entered into LOM and i gotta say i enjoyed it :). But because of my other commitments, i cant be an active member but instead becoming auxi member.
GOOD day to all. Why is it that in our praesidia meeting, in praying the Rosary, why is it that the apostles creed and the decade prayer requested by mama Mary at Fatima, are not included in the prayers? ... Thanks in advance
On minor item to note: The statue of the Legion of Mary is that of the Immaculate Conception (Not Our Lady of Lourdes as shown here.) Also it should be about two feet tall.
The statue in the video is not an image of Our Lady of Lourdes - it is, in fact, a statue of the Immaculate Conception. This is a larger image that we make occasional use of for gatherings in settings where the usual statue of the praesidium meeting is too small and when our more formal (and fragile) larger statue cannot be transported without risk of damage to the image.
+JMJ...Not sure if you received a response, but in my recent revisit to this RU-vid channel, I checked out other videos by Father Gillespie and found that he speaks Spanish and has given several talks on Spanish. God bless you!
