Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained and as voted for by everyone in the latest poll, today we’ll be exploring Legion, the 2010 supernatural horror directed by Scott Stewart.
Starring Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Adrianne Palicki, Kate Walsh, and Dennis Quaid, it follows an unfortunate group that must overcome the Apocalypse.

This movie was one of the most memorable films for me growing up. There’s just something extremely cool that I find with the entire setting of the whole story.

This would be interesting to see in a mid budget tv show (enough for the practical and require CGI, but not so much that we get well...disney garbage). This movie has a lot it hits on that just doesn't lend well to a single 2 hour movie window.

@@agust8352 I think that is what is implied, yes. Keep in mind the police officer who is possessed early on is under the influence of an Angel and has a similar physical manifestation of the possession.

Michael literally arch within this movie is the definition of his character. The individual so loyal that when the leader strays away he holds him to his prior level regardless if that means he’s now going against who he once “belonged.” The phrase is “for your own good”

I feel like this movie had so much potential. And some really cool/creepy parts. The Archangel with metal wings and spinning mace was really dope. The demon kid was creepy as hell. Paul Bettany is great always. The biggest disappointment was the ice cream man “boss fight” was literally ended with a short burst from an M4…. I guess it’s cool that even angel/demon possessed humans can get clapped by a three shot burst.

I think this concept of God shown in this movie is wrong.... Michael's line I gave Him what He needed is also not true...cuz in reality an All knowing God already knows everything...God made angels... An all knowing God who made angels and humans and everything else does not need instruction or guidance from angels or humans to tell Him what to do....God already knows what to do He is all knowing!!! This movie is blasphemy and not correct.....the only reason I watched it cuz of the angelic concept....but the movie is a disappointment..

You have to look at these type of movies with a what if mentality + combined with YOUR own personal theories as you watch, otherwise you’ll be 100% disappointed My theory , the couple gave birth to the anti christ which is what warranted the angels/demons to come down and defend it

They do that a lot. My favorite ad drops are the ones that happen during meme compilations. My brain sometimes tries to turn the ad into a meme before I realized what happened. At least commercials in the TV Era had the good sense to come at reasonable times. Ads now are so abrupt.

I'd love to see you cover Brotherhood of the Wolf, it's an epic movie loosely based on The Beast of Gevaudan a legend of a monster in 18th century France. It's got pretty much everything a Monster, a Hunter, a Whore House, Secret Spies, a Government Cult, Incest oh and Kung Fu. One of my all-time favorites. Even if you don't cover it the movie would still be a good watch just for your enjoyment.

The whole creepy grandmother climbing like a crab upside down on the roof was creepy. I'd be lying if I said the first time I saw it, didn't scare me. The whole granular scene, remind me of the exorcism, where is he climbs down the stairs backwards.

It's crazy how well this movie worked when it came out. Like it wasn't a “Horror” horror but it was still scary from the apocalyptic events going on in it. And that was a hell of a rug pull for a lot of people watching this at the start thinking that the angels were going to fight the demons or something to save humanity or to fight them just because it was the Apocalypse. But instead they start possessing people kind of taking the whole notion that demons of hell even exist. So probably just by every and any situation when humans encountered somebody being possessed, if it was real in that world, then it was all probably just angels who fell from heaven. But it was never any of the higher ranks like Michael or Gabriel, an archangel. All of these were basically the lower cast of the choir like in supernatural with Castiel. He was an archangel I think, but not on the same level as Michael who ended up possessing the third and final Winchester brother, the half brother of Hank and Dean, to battle Lucifer because that's what they were both told they had to do when the end times came. However in this version Michael did what was necessary not just what he was ordered. Not an open act of rebellion but what his father needed to start healing.

One of the things I love about this movie is the fact the badies where Angels. We tend to forget that biblical angels are just as dangerous and terrifying as Demons.

@@thepolarianempire According to Chistan lore. I was referring to Samael the Angel of death who fell but remains a tool of god's design. Ultimately all the angels and demons are tools of God. Where one set of tools are used for creating while the others are used for destroying. Like the difference between a Hammer and a Gun. My point was people forget that hammers can be used as weapons. In that they can be far more dangerous. Because when you see a gun, you know what to expect. As compared to a simple hammer, unaware that we are the nail.

they can't be evil because god is commanding them to do their job, by definition any command or order god gives to an angel it cannot be evil no matter how terrible it is percieved to be, holy water will have no effect on them as they are holy themselves.

@@THECHAOS111 Well ask yourself this, how good was God being in this movie. I mean he wanted his angels to go down and kill everyone good or evil, there is no discrimination in it. And why is that, well other than what we already know it's possible that God in this series fears that any remaining humans will resent him anyway for acting so cruelly and deem him no better then Lucifer, the vary son he casted out for his arrogance. If anything, it would come full circle.

Didn't this get a sequel in the form of a TV series on SciFi set in the future with the baby now in his late teens or early twenties? I remember watching the first handful of episodes which had retconned a few things as now the angels had split into different factions, those that sided with humanity lead by Michael, those that wanted to wipe out humanity lead by either Gabriel or Raphael and the neutral faction lead by Uriel. Though I think it only lasted a single season.

Always enjoyed the cocncept of their halos are actually collars. Referring to them more as enslaved servants rather than soldiers of heaven. As many films address the concept that heaven ain't a simple paradise.

The one thing i love about this movie is that it keeps us at the diner for the rest of it. We dont get any scenes of what happened to the citys and how the people got possesed. Literally its up to the audience to think what happened and to me thats what makes it horrifying and somewhat keeping our eyes glued to the screen. Because we as well want to know whats happening. This movie was just the best thing ever created

The tv show was pretty good as well, i think it takes place almost 20 years after the movies events, but the angels have continued their war on humanity, and several enclaves of humanity still exist but things have ground to an almost cold war type stand off with small skirmishes taking place.

This movie kinda reminded me of Archbishop Thomas Becket's murder in 1170. Because imagine a species of your creation that acts as your messengers. They aren't robots but living thinking things and you speak out loud in anger. The first logical conclusion those creations are going to do is attempt to remove or fix the problem to the best of their ability because you said so. That said, you can't deny these angels were having fun and toying with people. Now imagine that on a global scale. Its not a wonder that god saw what was happening and decided to reconsider.

The first time i saw a part of this movie it was on a box television in a Wisconsin dells holiday cabin for about 2 minutes before my aunt told me to turn it off because it was the scene with the old lady and it was scaring my little cousin.

The one thing I didn’t understand which you didn’t explain is why did god have the angels posses other humans? What was the point why didn’t he just have them kill them as angels?
