Well done, I had a similar idea and was thinking, "...for sure no one has done that for Edmonton!" you proved me wrong. Great rendition of a (now) classic intro sequence
So cool! It actually makes Edmonton look good! I can't wait to see the first episode! Will there be flash backs to the Klein era? Cause that would be cool....
Omg this is awesome! I've never been to Edmonton, but this video makes it look great! I've seen someone who said that you should do a Canadian series with all provincial capitals. I agree! ;) we're all waiting for it!
Beautiful video! I haven't had a chance to watch House of Cards so I can't compare. This would be a great promotional video for Edmonton, seriously! I live in Timmins, ON and was in Edmonton only once when I was 13. Loved how you were able to capture the Northern Lights even with high light pollution. What brand and model of camera did you use?
Capital video (pun intended)! I logged in just to upvote and also ask: 1. Was the symbolism of 'Rexall' at 0:55 intended? Were you implying that the stadium (is it?) was tainted with a corporate slogan? Some remarks: At 1:15, your shot of the (accelerated) shoot of the single train exceeds HoC's. It synchronises perfectly with the broken (guitar?) chord. The aurora borealis? eclipsed your terrific rendition.
JetL011 Thanks for your comments. The symbolism you see was actually unintended. In the original HoC opening, the shot there is a day to night of a large sport venue in D.C., so Rexall Place in Edmonton was the obvious choice. I really lucked out getting the aurora on my first night shoot. I was shooting wides of the city skyline and at about 2:30am the aurora showed up to play!
If Rob Ford was still alive, he should of played Frank. "They're are two kinds of cocaine. The sort of cocaine that makes you strong, or crack cocaine. The sort that only gets you high. I have no patience for useless things" **strangles dealer**
