Another fine model. It's so hard to develop reliable drive trains that can cope with all the LEGO world restrictions. You make it look easy!

I think Lego should see videos like this and make steam locomotives to sell as anyone can tell you that steam locomotives sell like hot cakes. How to make this affordable for all? Don’t sell the powered up and motor with the locomotive.

They've done that (selling the electronics separately) for several trains over the past decade (EN, HE, Crocodile, etc), but I don't think it's helped the sales... everything LEGO has done for trains since the 90s suggests that trains in a vocal minority at least as far as profits is concerned, but without seeing their actual numbers everything is indeed hypothesis.

Looks great, and seeing one of my favorite railroads, the Rock Island, be featured was a surprise!

I'm currently wondering, do your Mocs on Rebrickable come with the parts needed, or are they not included? Wondering just Incase I buy one of them.

Hi, Rebrickable is only for selling instructions, not kits. You'll have to supply your own parts.

I would love to build this one alongside the B8a! I've bought your T1 instructions and I'm going with the "slightly smaller than 1:48" scale. Do you think this 0-6-0 and the B8a would function / have clearance when using ML wheels?
@NonsenseWars
@NonsenseWars 7 месяцев назад
Not 100% about the ML (#8 right?) wheels... there's some greebles under the chassis and on the drawbar (like the brake shoes and the steps) that might scrape, but they are also not structurally important and could probably be removed. For sure the coupler heights would be a bit off without any adjustment though.

@@NonsenseWars Alright thanks! Guess I will find out when building :) Apparently ML/#8 is 1 plate less in diameter than L, which means the chassis will be half a plate lower. Might be tough to get the coupler up half a plate but it might not even be necessary Keep up the awesome work!
