What is that set next to the galaxy explorer, it looks like a sculptures one

Probably one of my fav town/city sets. There's no other set like it. So pleased to get this for myself earlier this year.

Nice set! 6540 , 6541, 6542, and this were all awesome sets!

This is one of the last sets I got prior to my lego dark age. I got it at discount, hefty discount as I remember from V&D store, V&D also does no longer exist in my country. And I loved this set, I still played around a bit with it before it all went into storage. And it still is stored till this day. As I reentered lego collecting in 2021. All the sets that I have to build my new city with are modern. So even though I have plenty of these sets from the old age they won't really fit in with the modern stuff. But I love seeing these vids. And they bring me back to memory lane.

My dad bought me this set for Christmas when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I am 37 now and to this day I still have that airplane assembled and in my old box of Legos.

I didn’t realize that I had the sail and fly marina until I watched your other video about top ten wanted sets. I noticed lots of distinctive parts from the set that I got in a huge lot and sure enough I did have it. Thanks for the video.

That's a great find you've got there. I just love how many elements of that are still in use today! Even the little barrel on the back of the Octan Truck was also in the Heavy Cargo Transport this year. There's so much charm to these old sets. I've been collecting a couple to start doing comparisons. Amazing then. Amazing now. Amazing forever!

My childhood right there! Had the blue hot rod which I got as a birthday present and the red station for Christmas. I really like the dock there... debating on getting that now to add to a ship dock I am building. Great review there!

Good to see the #BBI is back, it's a good job they have a crane and workshop to fix it. That Octan engineer looks like he's been working really hard for the past few years.

Cool vintage set. I'd consider buying some of these sets but many have quite a high asking price and I guess I figure I'm just better off spending it on currently available sets. Congrats on making further success on the 2018 collection list.

6:45 That machine looks like a lathe to me, common for repair shops and warehouses. 6:57 I would say that's a drill press, also useful in this repair shop. 7:43 I'd call that an oil can, they've done that even in more recent City sets with boats. 8:10 I'm honestly not sure which way they dock. I figure backwards so they can drive right out. Seen that way a few times before at marinas.

Nice set, I’ve wanted that one for ever, it would go nice with a city mock-up of what you’d see in the catalogues of the era for said town sets. I’m glad you got that one, it’s an easy favourite of mine (as implied above).

I wouldn't know about buying motors at a cafe! Lol, this set looks great and lots of things to play with all around. Interesting how they used the dish piece for the tables outside and nice they included machines in the repair shop. But let's not forget the all-important trash can, haha! Good review as well. I actually like the red Octan boat better, the white seems too much one color to me.

LOVE this series were you are trying to build your favourite 10/11/etc etc sets ;) I find it interesting the way you find the parts that are missing by ordering them off BrickLink or eBay. I would LOVE you to do another list next year and so on(sorry I shouldn't ask because it can be expensive really) I spent loads building my Classic Space set up/collection up and now I'm doing a Train/City one(+ I got some Monorail Track last week so I guess I 'HAVE TO' :D build a Classic Space Monorail for my Space set up to(oh dear, this is never ending) :D

Oh, I really like this one! Actually mentioned it for another LEGO enthusiast the other day. I think it is an example of something that stands out from the harbor series of the 90's. I just love that there are motors in the boats. And red would win 'cause red go faster! And yeah, I think it's a lathe as well - wouldn't it make sense for making new machine parts? Love this set! Nothing beats 90s Lego!

I should do a video on my acquisition of the 4554 Metro Station I bought mine one week after you got you first one from Bricklink that was supposed to be complete. I had an incredible accidental run in, on eBay when I bought mine kind of a neat short story.

Nice set! It complements the other harbor sets nicely. With 6542, 6541, some freight train stations, etc, you can build a big and complete intermodal port.

I don't know what it would cost back than, but it would be a 200 dollar set today. And I would gladly pay that today.

What a neat set. I like how you have left it as is and without over-cleaning the bricks or figures. I really like the engine builds, simple but effective! I wonder why the set didn’t have a blue base plate to represent the sea. Cost maybe? Do you have the box for this build? I also really liked the collection of ICE trains in the background. My favourite train! A rather boring but relevant ICE story: I booked to travel from Hannover to Hamburg on the ICE about 6 years ago. When I arrived at the Bahnhof in Hannover I discovered, to my dismay that there was a national rail strike on. But, with typical German efficiency the train arrived on time! Here in the U.K. that wouldn’t happen, period! I arrived in Hamburg just 7 minutes late and to the profuse and almost “I will now commit suicide” apology of the conductor for the delay coming over the internal speaker system! Thanks for a superb video. Always a blast!

Very nice set, remember it from the catalogues back then, but no one had it....

I got this set about two month ago, came used with box and everything. The bricks are generally in decent condition while some of the stickers won't hold any more, but I found some sellers on eBay listing custom replacements. Is that of any good to your knowledge?

Where did the ICE train go?

I have recently begun to re-brick some sets that I loved as a kid because of watching your channel. But I was wondering, are you able to continually display all of these sets or do you have to put them is storage? And do you worry about running out of storage space? I know my collection is nowhere near as large as yours and I am already having storage issues. I really love the old sets thank you for sharing it with us!

Everyone's favorite petroleum company Octan if I could find this set I would buy it in a heart beat!!!!

The Octan truck in this set makes me think of the Octan tow truck in set 6337. That tow truck was my favorite minifig vehicle as a kid. Do you have sets from the 1996 race theme on your wanted sets list?
