@@BigPlanesCustomLEGOaircraft you need to try and make this and actually Lego set this is absolutely incredible and detailed like the motorised landing gear and engines to the cabin all of it just chefs kiss
I was an AA flight attendant for 30 years, I absolutely LOVED this airplane. When you exposed the Lower Lobe Galley my jaw hit the floor! This was a unique feature to the DC-10 and my favorite position to work. This is a remarkable build and brought back so many fond memories. Simply amazing! If you ever consider putting this on full display, I’m sure the American Airlines C.R. Smith museum in Dallas would love to have as part of their collection. Thank you for bringing a loving piece of airline history back to life!
@@elliotsmith102 my favorite is back in early 90’s… AA was the official sponsor of the Oprah Winfrey show. This was LONG before flying private was popular. Well Oprah got to fly for free & she was flying from Chicago to LAX in the dead of winter so Miss Winfrey had a luxurious fur coat (no idea if it was real). Service was done & I hear the elevator coming down. I turn around & my friend Mark was wearing this full length fur coat. I laughed & asked where that came from & the reply was “Oprah let me borrow it!” Mark took the coat out of the coat closet & brought it down to the galley. Let’s just say that all 12 cabin crew members tried it on. What’s better, someone had a disposable camera and we all took pictures with it. It was hung back up after about 45 mins and as far as I know, she never found out. I’ve shared this story over the years so she may have heard a whisper but nothing has ever come of it. I still have the 3 pictures of me with my fellow crew & Oprah’s coat!
The old one might be my all time favorite livery for any airline, so nothing was ever going to fill its shoes. The new one is ok, but it’s no contest which one is better.
Your creations never cease to not disappoint. You were the reason why I was motivated to start my own channel talking about Lego planes. And while I've moved on from Lego plane models to paper plane models, I will never forget watching you impress the crowd with your awesome creations
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Lego needs to make larger sets like these. The Concorde was definitely a start but something of these proportions would be amazing for aviation and Lego enthusiasts
As a former KC-10A copilot, (essentially a military derivative of the DC-10-30CF) airplane geek, and lifetime Lego fan, this is my new favorite video on RU-vid…although I’ll admit I’m bias in liking it. @BigPlanes Jack, I’ve been following your channel for a few years now and with each new project, I like it more and more. Keep up the good work.
This needs to be submitted to Lego Ideas so it can be seen and voted on by Lego fans for production. What an amazing well thought out build! Well done!
this is better than i thought it was. maybe for your next project you could either settle for a small plane like a regional jet and maybe put it on lego ideas or build a big plane like a 747 to replace your old one
This has to be my favorite airplane you have made. This has to be the best dc-10 I have ever seen although the nose looks a bit weird it still looks amazing and beautiful. Amazing job on the dc-10!
Even seeing it was minifig scale, I didn't really grasp how big it actually was until a shot with the banana handlers ("hands" for short) in frame. Amazing build!
Thank You Jack!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Wow you really captured it. First plane I ever flew on was an American Airlines DC-10. From Newark (EWR) to Los Angeles (LAX) a five hour flight and I loved every minute of it. The DC-10 was and still is my favorite plane. I used to live in Mission Viejo, so I loved watching the Tanker-10 DC-10 fly low when extinguishing wild fire. I remember flying on a Continental DC-10 that had the Polynesian Lounge that was between First and Coach Class, and open to both. If you ever want to sell it, I’m your guy. But I imagine after taking it to some shows,(I’m in Knoxville by the way Brick Universe Feb 2024) she’ll likely find a home with American Airlines.
this is by far my favourite plane you made I would love to make one but I just don't have the experience you have but the plane itself is amazing keep up the good work my friend! THIS IS NEXT LEVEL REALISM
Dude what! That is literally insane. you did a very very great job on this one BigPlanes! I hated the DC-10 before this, but now it has been made in a very accurate model in Lego, I think I am starting to like it!
Just found the channel today and devoured the whole series on this build because it’s an awesome plane in a truly beautiful livery. I’m blown away by this model and all your other builds I’m seeing so far! The powered landing gear is such a cool feature.
@@BigPlanesCustomLEGOaircraft "But hes too scared to fly on a dc 10 because of the one that detached his engine a few months prior" I BURSTED OUT LAUGHING😂😂😂
I don’t know if I’ve ever been as impressed with a Lego build as this one. The lines of the aircraft are captured perfectly and the worried mini figures are a pretty funny Easter egg
Great job! I remember when you first ‘proposed’ starting this build a few years back and to see it now, fully completed is just amazing! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
That is the most stunning thing! Well done it’s a fantastic build - I hadn’t realised quite how big it is, but the landing gear is a masterpiece bravo 👌
Hey BigPlanes! This is a unconventional request but when you have the time, can I please kindly request a full tutorial of the Diamond Star DA40, its a small GA aircraft (similar to the Cessna) but resonates deeply with me as I've learnt and am currently teaching in this aircraft! Thank you and best wishes to you. Amazing channel!
