LEGO Cargo Area - Completed MOC 🚚🚛🏗🏹 

You should put a couple of crates with lego sets under the sea. Mainly because that actually happened in real life and that's why you can find lego on the beaches in Cornwall. The cargo area is looking tremendous by the way. Also suggestion maybe remove the light gray pieces from the tracks in the cargo area and maybe change the brown to light grey just because the cargo area is more of a hard standing area.

Quick amendment to an amendment - would it be worth replacing one of the orange trans cylinder bricks on the chemical spill set with a clear trans (is that the right term?) to show one has leaked? Not sure if that's an improvement or not?

Great build! The cargo racks should maybe be even taller to make it higher then the red building. The little green building is in a really good place. Could you add a bit more on the back and roof? Maybe a sign or a scene with some baddies trying to steal some cargo or something :) JJ Field

Having the two sets of shelving pointing inwards and giving the impression of further depth really makes this build pop! I'm not envying when you eventually have to tile all the pavements. For the extra crates, do you have any lorry/van assemblies to make a delivery scene outside the supermarket?

I think that it would be cool to have someone taking a cheeky peek inside the ark and having their face melted with some yellow tiles at the feet of the minifigure

Looks fantastic! As I expect, you definitely "packed and stacked" it, Robin. As per usual, now this entire area gives me some thought about my future Cargo/Seaport space. Between you and Jang's Seaport - Huge fan of this kind of industrial look and feel as part of a real city. The little olive shack looks perfectly in place by the way!

I think it would be REALLY cool if you embedded the track going through the cargo area into the road. This would also help with the stacked-on-top-of-each-other feeling that the tracks and the road have right now (something that really throws me off)

I think you could amend the ark by removing some of the brown from the original build, to remove some of the height and use the new chest piece. Love it on the truck bed though! As the last time we see the ark it’s in the central aisle.

The pallet racks look realistic but they're two bays too high for the LEGO forklifts to access if you're looking for LEGO realism.

I feel like the lid of the Ark of the Covenant should be partially off, and one hapless worker has had their face melted off. Probably didn't realize what it was and just bumped it. Also, where's the package getting run over by a forklift? Or otherwise getting mishandled?

I think the new height of the Ark should be sufficient to contain all those pesky melt-your-face ghosts!

1. I would turn the big container so that the opening faces the cargo area, still in the same location. so the Super Secret Police can still pass behind it (?) 2. A forcklift inbetween the two train tracks corners, with a pallet, and a driver looking completly distressed on his situation with trains wooshing by left and right. 3. I love that new cover for the treasure chest turning it into a trunk! (but not on the arc of the covenant) 4. If you lengthen the top rails of the yellow gantry crane towards the standing hole it can service the inner track too, (and pack more cargo inbetween the two tracks :P) 5. you can have some trucks with pallets troughout the city. 6. you could place some pallets in the Carnaval area, they need supplies too, or in the back of some shops.

For the chemical spill, perhaps swap one of the orange transparent barrel-tops for a clear one to indicate the leaking barrel. Very cool work as always!

Maybe you could give the vampire the Bobo bear from the Simpsons CMF so that it looks older and more worn.

is it maybe an idea to have the coast guard buggy more near the beach so it can help people down there or near the harbor because they cant really respond to emergencys whilst it is parked in the cargo yard :)

Three things, one, good job, definitely bigger than my cargo yard, if, of course, you don’t count my dockyard. Second, be glad you don’t own a Horizon Express, as it would hit just about everything next to your tracks, including that vintage signpost. And third, sent you the pictures of the Hindenbrick Airship, just checking to make sure you got them. Enjoy!

The roof sticker on the gate building is upside down

One note about the cargo on the forklift: when hauling a pallet on a forklift, the cargo is carried close to the floor, not high up. This can be done by removing the spring from the forklift piece (at least on the old style ones anyway). The cargo area looks great! I was thinking the barricade was too far into the yard, until you added the second crate building on the other side, then it looked perfect.

Your 'packing and stacking' creates so much movement. I don't know how much of it is skill and how much is good fortune, but either way I absolutely love it. Something going on everywhere you look without being too much, in my opinion. Like a huge Where's Waldo? or I Spy picture, just really nifty from far or near. That donated train sign... I was concerned that your train might not clear it, but of course I was imagining my 60051 that tests all my new close-proximity additions lol Should've known you'd test the clearance for us ;) now I'll be able to sleep tonight, thank you HAHA

I might make my own ark of the covenant to hide in my next star wars MOC. I would use a similar idea, except I have a yellow 2x3 box that could work if I put a gold or yellow 1x2 next to it to make a 2x4. I also have a couple printed tiles with squiggles on them that could pass for the two tablets with the ten commandments

something came up my mind when you showed the sticker with the nummbers, if yo turn 1508 to 0815 it becomes a synonym for low quality, at least for germans, I think its relatet to a WW1 rifle, I wonder if you can make something out of that

it's a legally distinct Indiana Jones (Nottingham Rob?) Also, for the Ark, what if you removed one of the brown plates or both from the bottom so that it would sit lower on top of the trunk? would that make it smaller enough?

If you can find a way to have the Vampire scaring Shaggy and Scooby, I think that would make for a classic Zoinks moment!

The cargo racks look so much better and more believable than the previous version. It definitely needs the hut opposite the gatehouse.

Very full, but very interesting and very nice! My favourite are the filled racks, the view on those is absolutely great!

Why would anyone ever want to live in Brick Nottingham with chemical spills, a team of super villains attacking the city, a constant cargo train going over the roads so you can never cross and a ghost infestation?

Ok, wow. This cargo area is the best of it's type! The added height looks so much better and the little booth thing was the whole reason why I bought 60169. I really just could have bought it separately but I started to like the other things too. Anyway, love it! 👍👍👍👍

If you had some way of showing some damage on the front of the coast guard buggy you can say they hit the chemicals causing the spill. The cargo area looks great

I can't help but think that some of the stuff next to the track will get caught by the outside swing of a passing train. I say a clearance check is in order.

The extra cargo containers are easy to use up. Just make a few cargo trucks delivering container’s to various Modulars. Maybe another railcar?

You should put cargo connect stickers on the flat bed truck and the forklift to show that it is being run by a contracted company running the port cargo side

can you make a LEGO pattern for the wall so the truck is coming out of a tunnel, like on the road runner cartoons? lol.

the habour looks great, the leftover crate's can go on trucks on there way to the habour, and you can create another cargo train waggon too

The Ark of the covenant I very fitting on the truck! In the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull the warehouse from Raiders of the Lost Ark is retroactively revealed to be area 51, so the truck must have just picked up the Ark before driving past cargo area 52. Very well planed, almost looked like an accident ;)

Love this newly finished corner of BN, but go large on the racks...higher! 😁 May I also suggest adding a truck arriving at or leaving the cargo area and maybe push the façade truck over to allow another forklift into the pallet section?....p&s like you like it 😊. I know that would be a lot of work but I would move your NEW cargo area to the other side of the river... With a switch track from the outer loop I would create a loading train zone where your castle is (along the wall). You probably would loose some sea area but #1 you can park a cargo train. #2 your NEW cargo area would be empty so you can create new stuff. #3 boat and train cargo in the same area. #4 I'm sure there are more benefits to move all the cargo together 😂✅👍🤯🤯🤯🤔🤔🤔 You can do it 💪🦺⚒️🚧🏗️👷‍♂️

Your truck is six studs wide, so should that trailer then not be six wide as well? Might let you fit two pallets, behind each other. As for your Indy, add Johnny Thunder and besides a batman pockets, there is also a version that has two side clips, for things like pistols, whips and so on. Would that not look right for your Indy? And what about Lara, I mean Lara Croft. And yes, it looks quite good, now remember my truck forklift/crane idea for your container truck? As for your chemical section, swap it with the office. Two reasons for this, at a minimum. 1: The Fort. 2: The Lifeguard Back entry way stairs. The bonus is that this way you can put them behind your storage racks. And if you play it good, part of the office is above the shed section that is this chemical stuff is stored in. Yes, add in a starcase upwards, in the office building. lay with it a bit more. As for your storage racks, too bad you can't put that yellow crane on it, with a forklift like hook on the end of the cable. Because then you could have added a under-crane control cab. Now, did you ever see Tin-Tin? Remember that crane fight, in it? Something for you?

I want a packed and stacked T Shirt

I bought that hazmat guy last year and had the idea of building a hazmat fire engine for him in orange-ish yellow… just for a bit of a change. Got creative block and forgot about it but your video reminded me of it so maybe I should give it another go! Yep. Yep. Going to have to get one of those flat topped chest lids now. DAMN YOU, ROBIN! Something that would be very cool in my opinion would be nice I create a large crate behind the SSP which can secretly open to give access to the SSP truck parking space behind! The crate should really have “Secret SSP parking spot” written on it but suspect there is no sticker for that! If you put the Lego crates on a sunken ship it could be a reference to the ship that went down carrying lego off Cornwall which is still washing up on beaches. There could be someone on the surface level fishing who manages to fish a piece of lego out of the water! I love how busy it is by the way.

How about if you move the Brick Bank where the Super Secret Police building is? Could work there quite well as it’s a corner building. Another idea would be having a huge/long lorry arriving to the cargo area bringing even more cargo ;) . Great build!

It's looking great!, and thank you for the ba-doing! I think I like the opening chest version of the Ark more, that way you could even have a skeleton/normal torso with skull head (maybe the Truck driver naughtily stopped to take a peak ignoring knock off Indy yelling stop at him) minifigure opening it to give off the ''dying curse'' vibe.

I was thinking maybe you could add a couple rats to the area, seeing as there is lots of food in the cargo bays. Also a seagull on the roof of the red office building might look good. What can I say? This sure is busy! But, I really like it actually. I think the densely packed cargo and other industrial stuff really gets the cargo-yard vibe across. The different references and scenes are so good, too. I especially like the vampire one. Overall, this is yet another great project.

All looks great - such a simple concept but I think one of the most interesting areas you have done! Quick suggestion - shouldn’t Indiana Jones be holding a gold cup? Holy grail? Sounds like my parcel finally arrived after third time sending so hope you enjoy it - there is a wrapped present in there for Mrs hood too (something she let slip she might like) - enjoy

I think you should move the truck from the racking area and have it transporting goods to/from the airport. Then you could set up a scene in the racks with one or two of your other forklifts. Maybe a drag race? Or have one unsuccessfully putting away a pallet.

I'd love to see you swap your home-made totally-not-Indy with Lego's own totally-not-Indy, Johnny Thunder! I loved his stuff as a pup, I wish they would bring his adventure stuff back

Where the red forklift is in that tight space you should have it busting open 1 of the little containers and then add in your hazmat spill. After all it is a tight space and accidents happen. Too bad you could not add a big sign on the wall showing how many days without an accident. I'm new to watching you and I love your content. Keep up the good work!!!!

Hey Robin! You could make a scene, where the crate of gold has spilled, so robbers are trying to take it away! This way the super secret police truck could be included in a way aswell, and all of that gold wouldn't be hidden away!

At first i wasnt too keen on the cargo shelfs but i have to say, they look AMAZING all filled up with the cargo!

Because of that Danger of spills under Chemical crates there is usual a plastic tub, i know that because had to undergo hazardous material training when i worked in Cargo at our airport. Also beware of strong magnetic stuff i remember when on a conveyer under the scanner a package of screws exploded on us

Being able to open the Ark is fun, but I think it does look better the way you have it now. The truck coming out of the wall looks real good, hope Indiana Jones get them to put the Ark back into storage. Also love the placement of the container shed by the barricade. the area look so much better closing off the sidewalk so people can't just drive up to the sidewalk and go around the barrier.

Idea: build a cargoship thats sinking from a mecanic fail and those 11 cargoment flooding in the water

Fantastic job Robin! I really love how busy it is. I also like both of the security gates and all the little details like the numbered signs for each set of racking. This build gave me so many great ideas for when I do my cargo area. Do you plan to tile the studded areas? I thought would be really cool to have a wagon for your cargo train that the large container would lift off the wagon the. Go right onto a flat bed lorry, it could be like a large fuel container, something like from 60016. Or even a shell version of it like from 7816. Then maybe find the room to make a refinery like lego set 149. Definitely some great vintage sets. Great job and keep up the amazing work my friend.

With the cargo truck- since it has that bit of space behind the truck cab, you could have the driver with some kind of tie down thing like chain or string and be in the process of securing the cargo to the truck. I like the teddy bear addition to the vampire. Maybe the openable arc would make sense if we have something good to put in it. The larger racking looks fantastic with the new configuration. Maybe the chemical spill spot would be a good place for a forklift- like the driver had missed the pallet and hit the chemical container with one of the forks. If the arm of the access point was put on the other side of the building, it should give just enough room to park a small truck in the second lane with some loading space. The green cargo building guy kind of looks like a longshoreman. If you don't end up wanting a sunken freighter, the crates of stuff could still be used like they had fallen off of a ship- maybe spilling out of a cargo container? A container or part of a ship could be a cool bit to stick out of one of the edges or the terrain to create an interesting overhang. A possible use for cargo pallets and a forklift could be at one of the stores unloading from a truck. Maybe in that little corner behind the racking and checkpoint a trashcan could go there with an alien digging into it?

Just a few suggestions, 1. Curious if u have enough time for the charge truck to be slightly exiting the wall and the trailer using one of the triangle flat pieces might look more dynamic obviously your packed and stacked so might not have enough room. 2. Why not have a pallet in the process of fall into the sea and with an employee freaking out . 3. Hopefully I didn't miss an episode recently but a pallet train wagon might be cool. Keep up the great work love the city.

It's a small thing but maybe you could raise the block to which the entrance beam is connected 1 or 2 plates, because now it's a bit slanted upwards.

Robin have you thought about making the trailer 2 blocks longer so you could have half a palet showing and angle the cab cause from some angles it just looks like the truck is parked there

Late comer here but perhaps turn the container to have the door face the tracks, Still closes off the area while the "workers" can access the goods yard, not the road and it will be visible for people looking at the city.

have the arcade game between the regular pallets, the cord threaded between the yellow cross hatches and attached to the main building, so you can only see it on from the other inside. Yellow and black speed bumps under the gate. Park a forklieft on the roof and have a figure with a map scratching his head.

I still thin there should be a ssp barricade in front of the Brick Nottingham Post, and now that the ssp van needs a new home it's the perfect excuse!

you should take the spring away from the froks on the forklift, and bring in a transclearbrick to rise it a litlebit

maybe the mini fort has an underground tunnel that can be entered by the golf course, or its a part of underground network (like an underground city) with the entrance being next to the space tower in the void (the wall).
