I really think a lot of creative and interesting sets lie within the budget $20-25 city range these days. Quality varies, but it proposes some interesting challenges that require designers to be creative and get a good understanding at making a good, valuable toy.
Love the truck - especially the removeable 'burger' which would work well as a stand alone stall in your city. Has anyone else noticed though, that since they started selling the new, narrower road plates - they have started making the vehicles wider!?! 🤪
Truck is based on the "bubblenose" varient of COE design, roughly 40's/50's American, not sure if they were the same anywhere else or not. Kind of looks like the classic stake side farm produce carrier, if it had the stakes. Popular as part of hotrod culture, with having the fire down there it actually sort of works as, in a cartoony way. Looks to be closer to pickup than industrial though, no real pipes or tanks or anything like that, wheels seem to be in the lower size/grade, ect.
Unfortunately I’m worried that the white print on the one torso only looks so good bc it’s on a pale blue and just doesn’t have as much color to overcome, all the same hope LEGO continues to push towards better printing where whites are concerned
is the implant a separate piece or part of the hair? Nice to see a minifigure with a Cochlear Implant. Lego has recently released 2 minifigures (burger truck and collectible 25) and a minidoll from 42613 in the friends set.
Adding extras to the interior of the burger shack is easy enough, most people have enough pcs to customize, definitely gotta get this to go with my monster burger truck. Cuz what lego city is complete without a little fake food rivalry? Lol😂
Its still a little fantastical, but things like the plain black van with tacky flame decals, and especially that burger sign on the flap, it all feels a lot more realistic than some previous efforts.
A great set. The burger stand looks like those made by Sembo Block and other brands a few years ago. The truck would need to add your own 6 stud wide plate and add some side and rear fencing. Too bad there is no number plate for the truck
20 bucks for almost 200 pieces is a steal! Plus if only having a lil food truck could be that ocmpact and effective. A man can dream. Good vid! Subbed! ^
Neat little set. Built it just yesterday evening. The burger would look even better if it was done in a more "crunchy" color like the new Sienna Brown skin color instead of Medium Nougat.
New Subscriber ! This little build is adorable and right up my newbie builder alley. I wish it were up the alley ; smashed burger with cheese and worcestershire please.
This is brilliant! Fun and cheap. Will defo pick this up. Burgers are also my fav food 😂. Tell me this though. It’s essentially a kids set and it comes with prints… no stickers. Then why oh god why are Lego releasing adult 18+ focused sets (yes I’m looking at you new Tantive IV midi scale set) with stickers. Infuriating!
You mean you didn't get your LAN partnership revoked and the reason you didn't do an early review is because you used your own money and not because you didn't get this for free?
They sure cut corners with this set, no proper grill, most basic cab seat, only 1 burger and not even a white piece to represent a license plate. I guess the prints make it up for these tiny issues though
If it helps, think of it as a throwback to the “good old days of Lego,” where lack of detail was a “good” thing! It helps you use your creativity and imagination! 😂
