LEGO City - Alien Conquest Drop Pods MOC 👽🛸🏹 

You could do like a Tardis or clown car effect where there are way more aliens coming out of the pods than could possibly fit in there.

These are great little builds. Need more of them though 😂. One in mid air falling from the spacecraft, one attached to a space craft, and maybe one at the bottom of the 20,000 Bricks Under The Sea cabinet. Show the story of how they are transported. Also, love the idea of one crashing through the grand emporium with the funny scenes being shown in full view. Great work as always.

Oh, that pod is fantastic. A+ B-Movie design. I love the idea of ripping the front off the Boutique, as well. Maybe one of the aliens could be the one trying on a suit or enjoying a cream tea? Maybe a partially-built pod could be sticking out of the roof. I like that fighter design as well. Might see if I can bodge one together from my own parts. Do these aliens have a name? Given the theme and the pod design, maybe it could be something like "The Q'onq'rzs."

I Love the idea....some aliens running out of the grand emporium with shopping bags. One getting stuck in the chandelier. Another one getting icecream outside. And the Supersecret police Busting the Casino on the Top floor, completley ignoring the aliens.

Might be tricky at the right scale, but how about a pair of ruby red slippers poking out from under a crash pod?

I think one of the drop pods should be on the top of a building empty and all the aliens should be in single file coming down a fire escape.

I don't know why, but I would Love to see one of the aliens stopping and smelling a flower, or in a que to buy a hot dog....

Yay, Alien 👾 Conquest!!! The only reason they got Robin is to make him say “Alien Conquest is the best Lego theme ever!!!!!” Which is true. 😁 I like the new build and great to have more on the ground. I like the idea of smashing into a boring modular!👍 In my Lego city I’ve got a swarm of Alien Conquest aliens descending on top of my modulars - and the full Alien Defence Unit (including 7066) defending the city from the modular rooftops! Without reading the video title, I knew what they were due to years as a Warhammer 40k player. LEGO has mainly taken the place of Warhammer in my life now. Anywho, great MOC and I love that you’ve got some of the cool slightly more obscure LEGO themes happening in Brick Nottingham, what with Dr Inferno up to no good and the aliens conquesting. Keep up the great work. Kudos.

You need to make a crashed saucer, either crashed in the ground or into the side of a building. You could have one of the aliens holding the extraterrestrial version of a cell phone, which led to the crash.

Haha brilliant... Alien conquest was never on my radar growing up but love these mocs. If you still have comicon in BrickNottingham 2.0 you could have a couple of the troops sneaking off to it rather than joining the assault. Rather than ADU I think the first line of defence should be some thoroughly confused SSP troopers

I think it would create a nice little scene if one of the pods had crashed into and pancaked a car on a city street.

Hey, Robin, I love the new drop-pod builds. One suggestion is to utilize the underside of the 2x2x2 slope and add some bricks with stickers to make it look like a computer screen, radar, terminal, or other spaceship gubbins.

You could build the underside of the really BIG alien mothership flush with the floor, kind of like a facade, and have it be similar in size to the mothership from Independence Day.

I like how the aliens are spread out in the city rather than in just 1 spot. it creates more diversity 😊

You should make a dedicated alien train or atleast a alien carriage for your cargo train. Also you should make a house for your farm in facade form if you include it in your new city😊

This is actually pretty awesome! Imagine a similar design for the EDF from Alien Conquest, Galaxy Squad, the Alien Avenger CMF from Series 9, or the navy blue Galaxy Patrol CMF/Space Marine from... series 11?

I think you should aquire a Lego Stitch minifigure and add him among the aliens somewhere, a very appropriate pop culture reference

Might have to get some more of those big stickers to have the grate on both sides of the doors. That way you can have some open and some closed if you'd like.

Love it, I've been catching up with your videos after a holiday and find it hilarious that Brick Nottingham has been invaded by an alien hoard. Love the idea of them just popping up around the city in unusual situations. Hope building your new city is progressing at a good pace and well see it taking shape soon. 😊

Hearing the aliens from Mars attacks makes me want to go watch the movie.

I love the build, but I feel like a drop pod coming down would have a under round bit, for breaking through the atmosphere ( making it appear more like a pear shape sadly coming down but it could be disposable under carriage part before it would land possibly falling off and becoming collateral damaging deb re or possibly it could be a force field thing that would turn off after entering a certain state before preparing landing but still something too maybe consider for an interesting scene maybe)

11:43 Maybe you should replace the lime 6x6 round plate by 2 3x6 wedge plates (item no. 2419) in the same colour? I think this will fit better with the "doors" closed.

You could put a pilot in the top of the dome in place of the bricks and the rod and wheel

yeah, beginning 2000 i did play warhammer 40k and when that drop pods came in the books and rules they do smash and damage terrain. maybe you can also putting small grey 1x1 with clip for putting alien fighter on the ramp so that he did not fall off for more action effect

First thing I thought when I saw the picture on the video and the titel was that you must be in to Warhammer 40.000 (I am too). I think you have some great ideas for implementing these cool drop pods in your city. Looking forward to see what you will end up doing with them when you place them in the new city. The alien figures are really cool.

Maybe a simple one button or switch control for the drop pods to open them? I think that would further tell the one use function of the pod.

Neat idea for the drop pods you probably won't use, what about a hole that has been mashed down into a subway station. Like the haunted station has the ghost train on the second rail another station could have a drop pod smahed through the subway roof into the second rail.

Fantastic. Wondering if you think adding the 1x2 modified plate with the bar either the closed ends PN 48336 or the open ends PN 2540 inside as handles for the alien army to hold on to as they are plummeting to the ground would look right. It might stick out too far though. I'd be curious how it would look with the flap stickers on the outside. Smart choice not adding stickers to the top. It was too busy. Now that you have an army transport system, will you be creating a drop ship next?

Another fun little build! One off the pods could crash into the fairground and have it partially sunk in the plates, it would be great fun seeing a couple off the aliens enjoying a ride!

Hey robin a idea for the invading scene could be that just to the side of the pods the ssp could be parked and terrorizing and arresting some innocent old lady and looking the other way from the invading force because they need "serve and protect" the citizen and we do know that walking to slow on the side walk is a crime 😂

I only rarely do full MOCs, mostly I modify (or soup up) builds with the store of pieces I already have. I am the only real Adult Fan of Lego in my family, but as the youngest I inherited many of the childhood sets of my older siblings and possibly some of my older cousins, so I had a big store of older pieces, often without the instructions for the original builds. It's only with the internet I have been able to rediscover some instuctions, although I had kept a few. I somtimes break up new builds I buy to add to my store of pieces ones that are more modern. 2:39 but are they really, when they captured and imprisoned an Alien commander? The aliens may have overreacted, but are the humans really the good guys? If you can make another one you could have it closed or only partly open as if it has just landed and not started disgorging troops yet.

Hey Robin LOVE this kind of stuff. Very true to LEGO’s style. I think some chairs inside with the backs up against the columns for 4 troopers to ride in would be a decent addition. Maybe a teddy bear or something funny too

I like the looting idea, but they should be looting something absolutely ridiculous. Something so inane to us but maybe they don't have it on their planet. Candy comes to mind but I think we can come up with something more ridiculous.
