Currently building a layout in the loft...havvin a ball. Got the trains running and inclines/heights right. Next is working on an animation (forklift in yard - hand cranked) and getting the duplo foundations for rock work...fun fun fun!

Really glad you are doing these videos. We ripped apart our display just days before we learned you did so we are excited to be able to rebuild at the same time!

If the table legs aren't long enough, the simplest solution is often to attach another piece of wood to the underside of the table and bolt the legs to that. However, it's not always possible or the best solution.

That’s great advice! I’ll have to remember that for next time. Thank you!

I’ve been watching the rebuild videos and I had a thought about the train sidings and gaining more space for the upper level. What if the upper level was extended out so that it was above the siding only? The main loop would still be open air for visibility. To keep the trains on the track siding visible you could build another version of your arch walls except keep the center of the walls open or put clear panels in place of the masonry brick. The underside would be illuminated to increase visibility. This could be done for the whole length or for just a section. A part of it could even be built as the maintenance shop for the trains. Just an idea. Either way I really enjoy your video’s. 👍🏻

Great idea! I thought of making a subway with access underneath. It would definitely gain more real estate up top.

Great tips! Do you have a link for the platform adjustable legs?

Great video and insight! I saw it asked oreviously, but I was looking for a link for the legs. 😊 Also, I know you mentioned 2 thicknesses in the other video for the foam, but what is the total if I was looking for a single height on a new city to line up the thick roads? Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for showing this, it was very interesting. A few questions, these legs, how tall are these and are they tall enough so bigger trains like the Orient express can go underneeth it via a tunnel? I am still struggling about the minimal height that a platform like yours should have for trains to pass under it. Thanks again!

Foam Board: Is that going to flatten with the weight over time?

I’m hoping not. It’s pretty dense. Time will tell, I suppose 😬

Have you ever considered the stackable plates from Strictly Briks? I am thinking about trying them for adding layers.

@@MrBookieboo Let us know your thoughts if you do try it. Your cities have been such an inspiration for so many people. It'd be neat to get insight on how capable they are in comparison to your previous methods.
