LEGO City Undercover - NEW Helicopter Out Of Bounds Glitch On Remastered (Exploring a Secret City) 

two theories: 1. its a test area 2. its to add details to when your falling from space (trees, paths, beaches etc but dont know why there would be buildings)

Thank you for finally getting to that area. I always was interested in what would be over there because I saw cranes that looked like they were from auburn bay. My theory is that the developers wanted to make the city seem bigger in the remastered version but didn’t want to make another location. So what they did was add cranes from auburn and Barns from fort meadows and then add a road that disappeared behind a hill to make it seem like the city was even bigger.

Oh, and my theory is: it could be some test area, for programmers to check if the game is working properly. But going back to trees, the creators probably had a lot of ideas for different types of trees. but looking at it from the other side, trees, buildings, roads and a bit of auburn all there is in low rendering (I mean textures are low resolution). Of course, this could also be a place to copy and paste items from, a low rendering of these things may indicate that they might be objects distant, out of bounds, Or those that were just about to load into a better texture when we got closer to them . Let's not forget the Auburn track and the freighter, I think it was a long thought, about the FIRST spawn place, because if you could think about it, when you load any saved game, without starting a new save, the game takes us to the police station (in in my case for the police station, but it is not related to the topic, because it is a common defect), and this place of starting the game could be called "spawn_0_2" of course, I am making it up, and it may have a different name, or it may not appear at all, these are just my thoughts, coming back, spawn after starting a new save (no matter if without or with a save), is in auburn, and this is probably where our character's original spawn point is, admittedly, after the first automatic save in the game, including In the case of "pushing" the story mode forward, the game triggers an automatic save, overwrites the respawn in the auburn and removes it, which means that after loading the game again, our spawn point be in front of the police station, not in the auburn by the ship. That is my theory about this place.

Compared to examples in other games, this must be beta testing grounds. All kind of stuff like proper work of textures or game mechanics are being tested but left in the game afterwards, mostly because the devs don't expect you to find out about them after all, though they often take up some space in the game

I hope they release another lego city undercover game since the first and second games were kinda part of my childhood and it would be cool to see them release another game which is way longer and have more jobs

Well, considering that we know that Lego City Undercover was behind schedule (causing there to be no Wii U version of Lego LOTR) it is very possible that this is an area that was scrapped, but whether from after where the story ends now, before it ends, or before it begins, is unknown. However it is possible that maybe the roads were ultimately supposed to connect to LEGO City in some sort of DLC for the remasters. My evidence for this theory comes from the fact that this hidden area was not in the Wii U Game. Just an idea.

I discovered this: did you know that if you drive a M.O.V police truck into both railroad tracks at the secret bolder place in Cherry Tree Hills, if the train hits the vehicle, then you will go flying! If you go deep enough into the out of bounds, you will phase through the ground into the abyss. (You don't need a flying vehicle. 😊 Disclaimer: you have to be on the M.O.V.'s head of the truck.)

I saw the harbor area from the sky with the pizza van glitch. Never knew what was there so thanks a lot for showing me! The ones closer by I imagine where there for scenery to make the world feel more lived in. The buildings farther away I'm not so sure about, but people are probably right when they say it is for testing.

I discovered this glitch a couple months ago. If I were to guess why it’s there I would say that it’s models the developers were testing that they left in the game.

That could be the city that chase went to while he was away from Lego city.

theory: it is expand the land so that the main map doesent become just an island, and the low textured city is brick county, were chase came from in the ship, in the start of the game.

It was actually going to be part of the open world with the other farm skyscraper area too.Its marked on a beta map for the world as “Elphino Springs” .It seems to have been a place where you could go to do a side quest or summat

I do not think it was scrapped because on wii u it was not there and even fort meadows out of bounds was mostly just black I think there going to release the game again for PS5 Xbox series x and for the next Nintendo console and you will be able to go to these areas without a glitch

In my theory I think that Lego town was an old replica of the real map and they messed the map o hard that they need to redo it because of the glitching mountains and tres so they decided to built it in an other area so far away so if no one can see the mest up map and decided to put a invisible wall so if helicopters don’t fly out of the map and they decided to put the old mad in a void section that nobody can see it

I found a way from Apollo island and pizza van. By the bridge from the ferry back into the water with the van on the rocks (side where space shuttle is) and you get flung. It flings you to an area you can walk on. Will take a long time to walk though.

Tried to get over here, but my aircraft overheated and exploded when i tried to get out of the map

I have a theory that this is brick county the place where chase was send at the end of the 3ds game and returned from at the start of the wii u game

The fairy isn’t used much in the campaign so possibly the field is the scrapped farming level

That port area seems to use some low poly models of assets used in Auburn.

Its an area where the game developers made low graphic copys of the original buildings in the game i think there are more than this area

Fun fact it didnt get you clipped through if you go to the crane i get there using flinging car glitch and after that you can fall of the crane and you didnt wallclip after geting ob the crane

Maybe they are going to make an update about a new zone of Lego City. With new collectibles,skins and cars,maybe?

My guess its that The City was gonna be Even bigger (the idea being Remaster exclusive since its not on Wii U) with more Areas, But they scrapped it because of Time and then left this? (And To add to the Time theory, Lego City UC Remastered could've been planned to be a Switch launch game, concidering how it originally was a Wii U game, and the remaster released on April 2017, while switch released on March 2017, pretty close right?)

I think it’s the original map of what the city would’ve looked like. They probably wanted changes in the city and they tried to recreate it from scratch. But the idea was eventually scrapped and that’s probably why it looks unfinished, they probably didn’t have time and just used a quicker and different idea.

I think it's from the one Chase was exiled from in the prequel or a discarded Lego City design.

It sucks that most of this area is not solid. But I did manage to get on top of 2 of the farm houses in fort meadows.

my theory is that this is oringally going to be the oringal map but then the dev said the map is too small and so they forgot to turn the textures to high and remove the stuff.

I belive that they wanted to build the LEGO city map outside of the game for it to look more realistic and not as legoish, like a test map of the LEGO city. As you see at the start, it’s auburn bay. Later on you find the field. Maybe that’s the farm? Then at the end of the video, where to music starts playing is the town with the beach where you can build a big sand castle. As you can see they did not connect the road to other roads and did not build every building. And that’s because they scraped that idea and focused more on the real map. So my theory is that they tried to build a realistic simulation/test map of the real LEGO city map.

I did once similiar thing, in that shortcut on that bigger island, at China Town beginning you can go through standing on Helicopter, it's hard alone, I did it with my older sister, and I did it, I was on the shortcut without vehicle, when I got on mountains, they were low quality but had a collission... Well, most of place, but you can ge to peak using jetpack and even I must say, it's fun to do this, Now today I might get to that buildings with small "Park" on top

Very weird that the devs included this in the game, and even weirder it's not on the Wii u, even tho (i believe) wii u could handle these low poly models, however the fact, that this is included in the remaster, and the texture of things like grass is very polished may seem like it's there to make players have a feeling the city is big and all. And to the people that think this is a testing area, it's highly unlikely, because why would developers create a function and then go trough the hustle to make a map with (poor quality) details only to test it? They'd rather make a simple map and that's it

That isn't the layout of the city, is it? I swear I'm probably losing my damn mind but that kinda looks like a very rough layout of LEGO city, but with a few buildings switched up and some roads changed.

Im sure that when u glitch through fort Meadows the area out of map could be decaration or a cut area cause it's seen in the Wii u version I'm talking bout he fort Meadows glitch btw

Oh my gosh i can't do it on pc because when i'll get close to mountains, the game is trying to spin me back to city. And sometimes it breaks my jetpack
