What an amazing build. I'd like to see what it looks like with some transparent bricks for splashes. I don't think such a large whale could breach the surface without causing some splashes. Thanks for all the awsome videos.

put a dingy with guys with scared faces right where he is going to splashdown. Would be very funny and make it more dense

Great brick-built but minifig-ish scale whale! The angles are what make it so clever - in multiple places. The slightly discoloured items are hardly noticeable and actually might that not simply reflect that they are under the water? Loved it - we had a whale of a time watching. Thank you. 🐳

Just coming out of my lego "dark ages" and have watched a lot of the "bigger names" on youtube. I'm from the UK and loving your channel, I feel like I'm in early on someone who will be bigger. Love your style, humour and always impressed with your MOC building skills.

Amazing!!!! Would love to see some splash wedges or even a brick built splash with trans pieces and some white even, showing the force with which he is breaching the surface...and then a small dingy with terrified occupants beneath his landing zone!

You have truly outdone yourself this time my friend. Great job. You know a few fishermen pointing with surprised faces at the bow of the boat is a requirement. I do like him turned a bit with more blue facing the viewer.

It's amazing builds like this that sets your channel apart from all the other Lego channels on RU-vid. This build is spot on and you captured every little detail and shape of the whale fantastically. it add so much life to that level of the cabinet. Awesome 👌

Fantastic use of angles to show movement, it really highlights the benefit of the glass and magnets too as it looks great from all directions . A few added splashes will really add to the effect, but not sure if that will look odd from below the glass looking up

Normally I don't tell people to submit their MOCs into Lego Ideas but this one needs to be. It is absolutely heads above any other brick built animal I have seen. Instead of the magnets you would have to add some more ball joints. I would suggest maybe building a second whale and having it swimming under the water to represent a real live whale pod.

This is a great build! Do not bother to exchange the dark blue angled slope bits just because of a differing colour, as the slight variation in colour just adds to the organic feel of the creation (although if you think the eventual scratches of the used bricks are annoying just feel free to...). This also goes for the greyish joints between the flippers and the body - they are just fine nuances of colour to make the whole figure look that much more interesting and natural. I know that you usually don't care much about whether your additions to your city or other creations are natural-looking or not, but in this case it might just give that "wow"-effect...

Holy cow, you have outdone yourself ! It's magnificent ! The scale, the shape, the motion... My only complain is when the fins are aligned with the camera, i can't unsee the giant living white and blue banana. But it's my fault. Thanks brain... 😭 Did you do some weight resistance tests with your magnets to see how much they can take ? Does the waiting between having an idea, sourcing all the needed parts almost one by one, and be able to finally built it isn't too frustrating ? November to april seems so long ! Anyway, i'm learning a lot with your MOCs building process throughout your videos. It really helps ! So, thanks again !

This is an ingenious design, but one problem is that it's not immediately apparent the white is the bottom of the whale. One might even see the blue as the bottom. Speed Champions has them in their latest sets, might want to check them out, even two new pieces, one is basically a black one stud plate mounted on another such plate, but now as a brick with a hole true it from top to bottom. They have some very fun parts, I must say and they can seat two mini-figs. I like how it looks with that shipwreck in the underwater view. As for the clear brick pieces, water from the fins. Also like how the crapboat captain is looking at the whale, as well. Clearly enjoying his view, there. Say, they have some Ninjago cheap red boat set out in the ship. Would two not let you make a trimaran, for say your diving support ship or so? Then it ain't as big as that crapboat, just about as long as a big speederboat or so, with that single hull piece it has.

I like the dark grey on the fin. Do they have white socket bits for the fins to plug into, nothing wrong with the grey ones but the white would disappear more if it bothers you. Some trans blue or clear for an erupting splash effect and maybe a bit of trailing water from the fins to further sell the motion should elevate it further. Another bonus with the magnets is you could put an intentional subtle twist at the magnetic join. It kind of looks like there is already one there but its tricky to tell due to the distortion. With the mouth, dark grey might look good if the required parts are in that color. If they do maybe leave the lower blue plate and it would give a subtle smile like effect to the face I think.
