Review of LEGO set 42638 Castle Bed and Breakfast - at $100 USD this looks to be one of the top sets for 2024. The LEGO Friends theme is smoking hot at this time.
The Castle's a great set - I'm hoping some of the parts I want to come up on the Pick and Build section of LEGO.com so I can do a MOC without having to buy a whole other set
I am very happy to see this set reviewed! I am planning on picking it up and the reveal is what got me started on a medieval scene (separate from my Lego city) . Great video!
@BasedPlateReviews oh, I am not a great modder. I would have only changed some of the interior. I would just really change the ground floor accessories and get rid of the sign in book and add maybe a 8 study long (if I could fit it) eating table to be like the one in the 1989 movie. I thought that room was iconic. I was wondering and looking into building a simply arch for it to sit on top of with steps leading down from the from and placing the Batcave underneath it. I have then Batcave from the 2022 movie.
I got this set on order and waiting for it to arrive. It would be fun to build a separate, modern building, say a dining hall, with some flat roof and the curved glass roof pieces of the botanical garden set, possibly solar panels on it. Thank you for the review!
About the setting of Lego Friends, from 2012 to 2022 was Lego Friends set in America in California but since 2023 in Europe, Heartland City is now a European city that is inspired by multiple cities in Europe but the biggest inspiration for the new Heatlake city is Amsterdam, and do you know why Lego Friends is now set in Europe and no longer in America because Lego want to move away from American stuff in their kids targeted themes like Lego City and Lego Friends because of those bad things that European people hear about America so that means that that Lego Friends and Lego City are no longer set in America but Europe so this set that you are reviewing is something that exists in Europe in the Netherlands because when i was traveling to Amsterdam i saw a similar house like this one.😊🇪🇺👌🏻

@@ButteredBread201 what about the box art because on some boxes you can see Dutch style houses on some Lego Friends boxes Amsterdam Dutch style houses California doesn't have Amsterdam Dutch houses and on some Lego Friends boxes you can also see 😀 houses on the box and California doesn't have parisian houses too so it should making more sense that Lego Friends is now set in Europe because California doesn't have Dutch/parisian style houses and there is literally a shopping mall set, shopping malls are still very popular in Europe but not in the usa so Lego Friends is since 2023 set in Europe and no longer in the usa.🇪🇺👌🏻
@@marlonrvlogs you're forgetting that the Lego Friends reboot takes place in the future. California doesn't have Dutch buildings YET, but they could in the future. Honestly, why don't people listen?
@@ButteredBread201 or i think that Lego Friends is set in a other universe if people still use old technology from 80s/90s because i have a Lego Friends set from this year the big stage set and it has a 1990s camcorder with a vhs tape and every minidoll is wearing 90s clothes and in the camping set from this month have a 90s boombox with cassettes and those camping sets from lego friends are infact a real thing in real life in the Nederland and Belgium and that b&b looks exactly like a house that is not for from where i live in West Flanders Belgium but it isn't a b&b and it's abandoned.🇧🇪🇳🇱🇪🇺👌🏻😎
