Hello everyone. This is my "quick" review and comparison of the LEGO Icons Chevrolet Camaro. I have included the Creator Expert Ford Mustang to compare. Feel free to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!
08:34 yeah I think they started with the convertible and then designed it into a hard top. I think it looks better as a convertible and I’m glad they included this option. Took me a while to figure out how to make my mustang into a convertible so saved the hassle.
Oh cool yeah sounds about right. I think they will likely do a Dodge charger or challenger in the not too distant future which might fix some of the issues what this one has
I really appreciate your thoroughness in the comparison between the two, I would just like to nitpick a couple things that you had minor complaints about, just in case these are things you didn't realize. The Camaro isn't supposed to have stripes on the roof, so it's still realistic in that regard. I'm pretty sure that generation Mustang didn't have headrests on the seats, so no fault there. And I believe the real Mustang only had one option for the headlights, so both sets are equally accurate. Thanks again for the video, I've been hoping somebody would show them next to each other like this!
Ohh I see. Yeah I did think of that after I made it. In regards to the stripes on the roof though I meant more that I think it looks better with them on vehicles if they match the bonnet in general, not necessarily that it was innaccurate. I didn't realise about the seats it's something I should have looked into.
My Brothers’s real Camaro hood was a bear to work under the hood unless he took it off. So this model is the same as this Lego design. I wish they included the rear fender flares like it should have. And they should hint in the directions when to suggest adding the light kit. For those who may want lights in it.
I just got this set for Christmas, and my gripe so far is seeing the colours in the front wheel wells as you pointed out…. I wish Lego would stop doing this. I have other sets where you see colours in annoying spots…For the age and skill set to build this, I personally would’ve had no issues putting those pieces in even had they been black. They go though so much planning and design, I can’t see how no one noticed that. A hack I’m thinking of is just cutting small pieces of black electrical tape to cover them up.
Yeah that could work. I don't mind lego using different colours inside when you don't actually see it on the outside. They managed it with the steamboat willie set and that wasn't even 18+. It looks worse because it's so bright against the black on the rest of it.
12:28 this magazine is actually an easter egg from the creator of the set if you read the first couple pf pages into the instructions to the creators page you will see it says he read hot rod magazine as a kid, thought you should know.😅
