They have explained that Stan Lee, as an entity, is a property, and obtaining the licence after his unfortunate passing is too hard. As much as it is something we want, and I’m sure it’s something they have looked into, I feel that now he is no longer with us, it is unlikely to ever happen…
@@sashawaybright2698 No they don’t 💀 they have been ignoring you guys for years because you’ll buy their product no matter if they give you what you want or not
The main reason why thefig isnt stan, is becase of the legal wright to use his likness of a minifig. This is the same reason why lego reuses inaccurate face prints on movie characters
I had to get a custom made Stan Lee at convention almost a decade ago just to have a Lego Stan Lee. He’s now in a display case with other custom marvel mini figs
They don't have the license to do a stan fogure after his passing. Also if we were to get a stan figure we would also need a Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko figure so obtainin all those license's would be incredibly difficult
Lego should do a history of comics set, the set would look like 3 office rooms, in the middle is marvel with Stan Lee, in the middle of the room, to each side is a different office on the right is DC there is a small hallway connecting the offices, in this office is a Bob Kane minifig in the middle. To the left of Marvels office is Image comics with Todd Macfarlane in middle of the room. The marvel office has 2 doors one has Steve Ditko leaving the room towards DC The other has Rob Liefeld leaving towards Image comics. In the hallways are other comic creators travelling between all 3 companies. Images Office also has Robert Kirkman, DCs has Jim Lee, and Marvels has Brian Micheal Bendis. The back of the set rises and has a whole bunch of mini figures. The creator of Hellboy has a custom headpiece with horns and hes riding a black horse (dark Horse comics) Gail Simone, Joe Simon, all these other great creators with references to their work, this set builds to a Throne based off DarkSeids, in it sits a man with a crown the bottom of the throne reads Jack Kirby the King of comics.
Here’s an idea for a set that could introduce Stan lee: The Baxter building Set includes: The fantastic 4 Future foundation spider-man She hulk in her ff uniform Mole man Franklin Richards (future foundation) The maker Comic Namor Comic black panther Silver surfer Brick built galactus Anialus Steve Ditko Stan Lee
If theres ever a stan lee set it should include every avenger ever available and get updated as there added and 100% of the purchase should go to charity
As someone with a collection of Stan Lee minifigs inside of a lego VW Bus, I am happy with the van full of stans. I dont open it anymore as a way to pay tribute to him.
they might either be saving him for an extra special set like idk maybe oscorp tower or avengers compund? idk or they might not be able to because he is well not alive? idk how that works
It makes more sense to have Kevin here since he’s the one that leads the MCU, which is what the set is based on. We don’t need Stan Lee to be commercially immortalized in toys.
In order to put Stan Lee into a set they’d have to go through his estate on top of a whole lot of other legal stuff, putting a still living person who can consent to being in a set is just easier, on top of the whole respect part of it
I know it would be considered disrespectful, but imagine if there was a modular building of the LEGO Marvel games version of the Marvel HQ and one of the rooms featured inside was a recreation of the mission inside of it featuring Spider-Man and Vulture, it could also have a few nods to characters we've not gotten and even have a reference to Stan Lee.
Lego just has no idea what people want. It took them almost a decade after the ending of the Clone Wars to sell 501st battle packs. Why didn't they sell them during the Clone Wars releases?
Lego literally does not have the likeness rights to make a mini figure of Stan Lee. As much as they would want to, they can't physically create and sell one. It's different in the video game where he would've signed over his likeness for the one game and not a single product to be bought and sold
As a real person who has unfortunately passed away, Stan Lee's likeness isn't owned by Marvel. There was a great AMA over on reddit with the designer of the Daily Bugle set who explained why they couldn't include Stan Lee there, either, even though they would have loved to!
It depends on the intentions and if they make a Stan Lee minifigure to honor him There’s nothing wrong with that. I also want Stan Lee playable in a Spider-Man game. Give him all of the powers of every Marvel hero. He would have loved that.
It’s not funny it’s disrespectful. Stanley has been in this industry for a long time and has been responsible for a lot of great things and yet he’s replaced as a joke
The rights to use Stan lee’s appearance are owned by a different company that Stan made himself and it is widely known to be almost impossible to get the rights from them
@@Welc0me-2-my-wurld it was made to ensure people wouldn’t smear his image, for example if they gave Lego the green light to make a physical Stan lee figure people could make videos of “torturing” the figure and it would potentially ruin Stan lees image same goes for any other physical item, I believe that’s why he only ever appears in Lego game and no actual sets
How? Marvel doesn't own Stan Lee's likeness, only his estate does. If Marvel did we'd have seen more "cameos" in the last 20 or so projects since his death
What..? No its because hes unfortunately passed away and its very hard to get a license for someone whos passed away. Stop pulling random shit out your ass
Wouldn't flip but I'd not buy out of principle. It could be a dictated demand for keeping the license. And LEGO has a good feel for what sells, so I doubt that will ever happen. KF had a good run for a while though, KK speedran the destruction of SW
@@Arendvdvenkapparently according to interviews she was against a lot of what made the sequels bad (and no I’m not defending her I’m just saying what I’ve seen)
@Emperor-Sheev-Palpatine5746 also not defending her, but I think most sw fans are really misguided in what she actually does and what she's responsible for and also don't know how long she has been in the industry and tend to paint her as a scapegoat/boogeyman
The man is dead, he had to tour the entire world to keep up with his family's spending of his money and was abused as a money machine. Let him have his dignity back, he did alot of great stuff but the only people who will profit from him now are his selfish family.
Why the lego fans are so degenerate. Stan lee in not a character he is a human being, who pased away. Let him rest in peace. Also lego cant just make a human to lego without permistion and not like you can ask him in person....
