There is a special place in my heart for Lego Island. It was (and still is) literally the perfect kid's game. Even as an adult, I still long to step back into the carefree, virtual paradise. The bright, sunny, relaxing, not-a-care in the world charm and beauty is still amazing, even with the 90's graphics, which actually aren't that bad considering 1995. Imo, the 90's was the best time to be a kid or teen growing up. Such a special decade, so much fun!
I just love this song. Even before finding this on RU-vid. I always would be standing right next to the Hospital to hear this song. As well as look towards the city or ocean and take a break to think. By far the best song I have ever heard from this game non the less.

Ever since I found these tracks again (thank you Project Island!) I want to make a compilation of everything L.E.G.O. Radio and use it as an Easter egg in my brickfilms.
Something about this song makes me a little sad.. Must be all the memories of playing this when I was a little kid. You get older (mid teens in my case), and you realize how much you miss this kind of stuff. Just glad that I can come here and share some nostalgia with my fellow Lego-Heads. :)
+blizzard76kz You're not the only one. I haven't played this since i moved on from windows 98 to XP and only came back in the time between Windows 7 and windows 8's release dates. The nostalgia was already hitting hard. but when I heard this... I stayed in the hospital area and started crying. The times when I was a kid, not worrying about little things, not having bigger responsibilities other than good grades, and being able to play games from the second I got home to the moment I had to go to bed... when my parents weren't divorced... All that will never come back.
It really depresses me how this music doesn't exist in higher quality and we're stuck with these super-compressed songs from the disc. The music in this game is incredibly well done and deserves to have a proper soundtrack release.

Exactly - that's what made Lego Island so timeless in my opinion: it's unlimited playability. It didn't really have a story, and wasn't really even a 'game' per se - it was a more like a sandbox (the goal i think?) where you can change and do whatever you want to your hearts content. Most games base themselves around a story and have a beginning and a end; Lego Island though has neither - you can truly play that game and never get bored.
I liked Papa's reactions to the shark choking on the dog choking on the cat choking on the parrot. "If we can't save it, we can make it tomorrow night's special!" "We gotta put up a sign: No pets allowed!"
@DaBauss01 The thing is, the games they play today will be classics for them once they get older... Meaningful memories are relative to each generation.
2:24 was when I lost it. When I first heard this song I felt touched and happy, like life couldn't get better. When I listen to it now, I truly understand.
i remember this game so much because of a mishap. It took me 5 years (yes 5 years) to find out that u had to drag a character's face onto the island to actually get on the island. I must of been a extremely stupid kid, because for some reason i found joy in walking around the Information Center for 5 years. When i finally found out how to get on the island, i played this for 3 more years. Now when i hear this song i get tears of joy from a game that i loved when i was a kid. Thank u so much!!!
I remember when one of the mechanics brought in his partner who was literally in pieces. Dr. Clickitt puts him back together and as he leaves he says to his partner, "next time, YOU stop the traffic" XD I wish they made an actual soundtrack to this game
oh, wow this brings back memories, I love this game, shame my copy got corrupted, even in my teens I still could get enjoyment out of it. It has just the right mix of quirkiness and innocence that makes it so endearing :)
Memories of Enter and Return, and the ambulance scene: "We gotta have this"..."and this"..."can't go without the shark!"..."I hope there's room for the tree"..."and what do we do if it's hot out there"..."what if we have to mail a letter?". I have the CD layout around somewhere
This was the first thing I ever did in the game when I first played it. Also, this mission has the funniest dialogue in the game, like when the guy refers to Return and Enter as 'your two clown boys'.
A childhood friend and I are both volunteers, he with the Ambulance Corps. and I with the fire department. Well, one day we were in route to the hospital and I was riding with him in the ambulance because it was a 'lift assist' call...so on the way there, (non-emergency) he plugs in his mp3 player and starts this song. I laughed my ass off.
loved this part of the island. may have to track down the game again to re-install it. the music reminds me alot of Phil Collins - Another Day In Paradise (another brilliant song)
This song is so amazing....playing this game back in the 90's with not a worry in the world. It inspired me to make a real life cover of the song - I made a video and just put it on my profile tonight. Go view it if you love this song!

I think only a certain group of people was allowed to experience this game like god has chosen us, and one day we will all unite and save the world from the brickster
They don't, but Its still possible. Especially today with advancements in technology! Actually that's not what matters, all you need is the heart & soul.
I finally found you :') This brings so many memories. This game was my first game I got from my dad as a present. Even he likes the game :) See? Lego never gets old.
