LEGO Keeps Failing to Make Video Game Sets 

What videogame set would you like to see LEGO make from these games?

Bro we desperately need jedi fallen order sets. Imagine getting lego purge troopers!

I'll never understand why LEGO is now okay with making sets based on adult sitcoms and shows like Friends, Sienfeld, the Office, or Queer Eye, but are still afraid of making content based on video games, even when the games are rated teen.

I understand that this video is mostly about video games based off of existing IPs that LEGO has, but I still feel like we need more representation for normal video games. I'm still waiting for LEGO Kirby...

I've been recently playing the Insomniac Spider-man games and all I have to say is that I hope we get sets that are even loosely tied to the Sequel that's still coming out this year

Making more video game sets for existing themes like this would be the perfect way for LEGO to get out of their “comfort zone” and stop remaking the same sets and give us something new and different!

They need to bring back the dimensions theme. No game. Just a place to put themeless sets based off media.

I'm surprised Lego hasn't made more video game sets. The horizon Tallneck was a welcomed suprise though, I love the game and the set. Just think how well most game licenses would sell in Lego. Personally I'd LOVE to get Lego Fallout/Elder scrolls, they're my favorite games. I play at least one fallout every year😂

Lego should just make anything of any age. No one cares anymore. R rated films or shows, m rated games deserve to be made into Lego, they are literally just plastic blocks. They are so hypocritical when they already made guns, tanks, Nazis, deadpool, etc who cares man just put a age rating on it.

The four-armed Stitch minifig for Disney CMF 3 leaked a while ago. With Jedi Survivor around the corner and the BD-1 set last year, my very very loose theory is that we MIGHT get a Greez figure soon...and what better set to include Greez than the Stinger Mantis?? My legs definitely hurt from that massive leap, I know its a long shot, but I seriously doubt Lego would bring back such a niche four-armed mold for _one_ character. What do you think? Am I just desperate, or is there a chance?

I would have loved some Lego Spider-Man PS4 sets, especially one based off of the final boss. Some Arkham and Gotham Knights sets would have also been cool. Hopefully we'll get sets for the Spider-Man 2 game at least.

Let’s be real here, LEGO’s own ethos is inconsistent. That fact that they canceled the Overwatch sets over Activision misconduct yet HP is still kicking with its creator openly expressed prejudice towards a specific group is baffling…don’t even start with the “separate the arts from the artists” excuse; that’s just double standards. Esp when there are groups that are boycotting the game over this. Shame that devs/designers put so much efforts into their work. Would be great to see LEGO do more sets based of video games but we’ll see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The thing is, from LEGO's point of view, what would sell better: A set with a bunch of characters that most kids haven't heard of, because most don't have a console, or a set with Harry Potter. In the case of games like Hogwarts Legacy and some of the star wars games they don't feature the iconic characters that the majority of people want. So that could be a factor.

I NEED the Sonic sets.

I really gotta agree, if you want to avoid M rated games like TLOU or Arkham Knight that's fine, but games like Spider-Man PS4, Batman Arkham Asylum-Origins, any T rated game really or less, so weird they don't include actual games. Great short watch Ash! thanks for taking time making content!

Really wanna see more horizon sets. As a diehard horizon fans there’s SO MANY sets they could make. $200 minfig scale Thunderjaw, $90 stormbird, $100 deathbringer final battle, $150 tremortusk minifig scale, $30 watcher and grazer set, I could go on forever.

I would adore uncharted sets, so many possibilities

The sad thing is their to focused on trying to keep Lego kid friendly when not everyone is a kid… there’s other people who buy Lego it’s beyond me why they can’t allow anyone else to have something they like in Lego

They need to fire whoever is in charge of coming up with the themes, they are obviously out of touch with current pop culture, no sense of hype and creativity so probably old and probably no passion, and also biased...

God of war, last of us, read dead, dead space, breath of the wild… the possibilities are endless

If a LEGO Tomb Raider one-off set happened, chances are I'll get it to pair Lara Croft with Indiana Jones, even though I haven't played a single Tomb Raider game.

Yeah, I know we’re not talking about it but, they still have Detroit Become Human approved on LEGO ideas but they refuse to create or allow other video game properties with tamer themes. I would love Final Fantasy which is getting so much content this time around and Zelda has been on people’s minds for 10 years now. I’ll tie it back into the theme of the video and say it’s clear that LEGO doesn’t follow video games enough to have a solid grasp of what’s popular or what would sell and when. A lot of sets you mentioned didn’t come out until after their prime release window. It took 5 years to give us troopers based on BFII in a set. And there were so many Clone Wars/Prequel sets that could have released when the game was popular and would’ve sold amazingly. When they released that Galactic Conquest game mode, we could’ve got Republic Gunships or Separatist tanks (AAT/MTT), or capital ships. This was also when the show was wrapping up and they could’ve gone all in with sets of Prequel ships.

Dude... If the companies making the games do not want toy tie ins, than there are not toy tie ins. This has nothing to do with the Lego Group.

You talk about lego dc, well... you need you need to talk and worry about the DCU lego side since Gunn did say everything is connected and the days of random DC characters in the lego games could be over.

I don't know the decision behind the scenes at LEGO. For Star Wars they make sets for the battlefront games and force unleashed but skip everything else. I don't get it.

I could understand them not wanting to do Harry Potter Hogwarts legacy sets. (The game has touchy subjects for certain people, and I don't blame Lego for not wanting to be in the line of fire) however Star wars is a different problem, with the budget that they get yearly they should be able to make some fallen order sets. Especially with the fact that it seems new Star wars media is getting more scarce.

It's not that they're failing. They know they wouldn't make as much money on video game related sets as they do on other sets. The majority of the customer base is us AFOLs, and most of us are not into gaming and don't know anything about the video games.

In my opinion Minecraft is the most well handled video game themes especially because of all of the specialized pieces for it
