GHOSTBUSTERS ON 360 was the absolute best ghostbusters game you'll ever get. It's even been called by former cast and director as. The story that's the closest thing to what ghostbusters 3would be
Well done! You are the most in-depth reviewer I have watched on RU-vid, and I love your writing. I'll definitely be using your reviews to help me decide what games to buy. If you don't mind me giving you a bit of feedback - I know that almost all reviewers use a pre-written script to read out (and then mix in gameplay clips) but no other videos really made me step back and think: 'Wait, this sounds like I'm reading an article'. However, I think that can be attributed to your fleshed out vocabulary and language use, which is in itself impressive. :)
Great review as always :) i really like the LEGO games and hearing how you praise LEGO Avengers, i think i'm finally gonna play something new and good.
Thank you so much for making this review. Great job. I've been looking everywhere to find out if it still looked good on last gen (XBOX 360), and only this video answered that!
When I'm unsure about a game , I always hope Karak has a review up, to help me out, and man , this doesn't disappoint. Awesome review, I'm sold. Also - $4.99 on Steam right now.
Hey, just found your channel and I'm already loving it, I was wondering (if you even see this) what you're opinion on the Lego characters now being able to talk. I know this has been a thing since Lego Batman 2, but I've always preferred the grunts and random noises that the old Lego games had, like Lego Star Wars. I just think it adds just a little bit more of a personality to the games and characters and also doesn't just give a step by step retelling of the original, with the new games even just taking lines straight from the movies. I was just wondering if I'm alone in this or not XD
This was awesome, thanks! I'm a big fan of the Lego games and have had this game for a while and still haven't got around to playing it, but I think I'm convinced. Its definitely given me enough to go by! -STAntics
When this game was announced, I was very disappointed that it was going to be based more on the MCU Avengers films unlike the last Lego Marvel Superheroes(2013) which meant Spider Man, the X-Men, and Fantastic Four wouldn't randomly stop by and eat swarma with Tony and the gang. However the more I saw of this game, the more I was starting to grow on it and right around the time they showed Hulk super jumping and climbing buildings, I knew this game was probably going to be awesome. I would also like to add that this game seems to have also borrowed a few ideas from Lego Batman 3 where in that game almost every character feels unique and if not, they at least didn't feel slow and clunky to play as like Lego Marvel where every character that wasn't in the top row of the character grid was either a boring clone or not fun to play as.
I got a Lego set for my son and then we rented a Lego game and ever since I have become a Lego fan. Not only for us to do together but I enjoy doing the harder stuff he can't do. Can't wait to pick this up. We really need a Back to the Future Trilogy though. Love your reviews man. My favorite on the interwebs!
Great Review Karak. :) Please do The Witness! It seems like a game not just good for pulling apart the way you do most games, but also great for a Walking the walk video.
This channel alone had the best reviews on RU-vid, with IGN's or GameSpot's I feel like I can set them down and not miss a thing, but with these reviews I feel like I need to pay attention to them because he puts actual time and a whole lot of effort into them
Yo out of all video game reviewers you by far are the best and I mean very informative on reviewing games especially on the best gaming platform PC. Keep up the good work..
My fav thing in Lego Marvel Superheroes was just running around the open world with the various X-men and just looking for stuff to do. No mutants this time, but it sux to hear the open world doesn't seem as good.
One of these days your gonna get me to try one of these Legos games, I'd consider this one but I'm trying to finish a bunch of games before The Division releases some time this summer(I have a feeling it'll be delayed again).
My only real problem is with the audio. The lines that are pulled straight from the movies feel so out of place and there are way too much moments where it feels like there should be some form of background music but instead there is just awkward silence. It is kind of a shame as I feel they gameplay in this game is some of the best that we have seen in any Lego game. I hope they don't make the same audio mistakes with Lego Star Wars 3 as I'm super hyped for that.
I'd really love to See a new Lego Star Wars with the Force Awakens too. I'm sure it'll still be a while before that happens since Disney wants to keep Star Wars games to Infinity and Battlefront for the time being
Hey Karak, nice review as always. How would you list the length of this game, aside from revisiting free play missions. I bought Lego Jurassic World for my son after I had watched your review, but we found the story to be a little short.
I've never been a fan of the Lego games, regardless of whichever video game franchise that they are based on. I guess they just never appealed to me for some reason. However, this a game that I will gladly purchase. It looks like its a lot of fun to play. Having so many superheroes in one game is a huge plus. The Lego games, at their core are based on button mashing and destroying things. In that regard, Lego Marvel Avengers doesn't necessarily revolutionize the franchise. Instead, it sticks to the main mechanics by offering what I think is the best Lego video game to date. Of course, you once again delivered by making another great video as you always do. That in itself persuaded me to want to buy this game. Thanks and God bless!
+AngryCentaurGaming Great review will you be doing a review for Gravity Rush Remastered? I think it's a great game but more people need to know about it.
Another fantastic review! I have 2 question though. 1- How diverse is the roster, because in Lego Marvel every character besides the top row was just a reskin of an already existing character. 2- How are the flying and shooting controls? IN the first game they were terrible and a huge turn off (more so the flying in free roam). Did they change the controls to be more mainstream?
I hear they managed to put in the open world in the handheld versions (3DS,Vita) for the very first time, but only has the first 2 avengers movies while the console version has the other marvel movies. I'll probably get it on a sale.... right now i'm more interested in other games.
I'm a massive Marvel fan so this is a no brainer for me either way, but since the lines are lifted straight from the films, does that mean that the 100 or so characters that haven't appeared in the MCU yet are just silent? I can get behind generic agents just doing grunts, but Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Wasp, Nova and so on should have dialouge :/
I'm thinking of getting a lego game but I can't decide which one... Should I get Lego Star Wars the force awakens, Lego marvel avengers, or Lego Jurassic park? A comment with your opinion would be very appreciated.
Whatever you got i hope you loved it! I would recommend Lego Jurassic park first and then Avengers. Jurassic world because the length and the idea of morphing animals is just so cancerous (Good but wild) lol
I agree the game is fun with arguably SOME repetitive missions but it's a lego game so I'll give it a pass for now lol but the audio sync of all of the character's dialogue from the movies is just terrible in this game, literally the worst I've heard. The crappy quality stands out WAY to much during the cuts cents and the banter during the gameplay which broke my immersion for the game along with visual gag humor that couldn't even make my little cousins laugh. Lego star wars the force awakens did this much better imo but that's maybe because they brought in the actors to reprise some of their lines. But I did enjoy some aspects of this game and I agreed with what you were saying. all in all great review ACG
your review was way more in depth than the pitiful one ign put out. i'm going to check out some more of your reviews. if they are as well done as this one then you sir have earned yourself another subscriber :)
