i love how the first few opening show the heroes as essentially echoes of the past, vaguely suggesting that they're the next group and still growing while the current one shows them as fully fledged heroes in their own right and existing in the same space as the heroes of the past.
@@debbiewong6539 3 of them are the reincarnations, MK's only relation to Wukong is the Golden Staff and his powers and Mei is a direct descendant of Ao Lie
I like how the intros compare the heroes to the old incarnation and shows how they are slowly taking their places and living up to their legacies. This is most obvious with mk.
If you pay attention to the season 3 and 4 intros, at the beginning, when Mk is standing on the building, his shadow is him in his monkey form, neat foreshadowing
It’s meant to be sun wukong not MK you can see it becuase of the red banners going off of his head in the shadow and also that’s the embodiment of his character at that point he literally is “wukongs successor” and I doubt they planned it out that early or decided to foreshadow it that early
One thing I love about the Intro’s It shows Just how far Mk and the gang has come, but also every new season has a creative way of putting the final battle Into the Intro. I wonder how their gonna do S5’s Intro and who the big baddies gonna be
someone pointed this out on twitter and cant unsee it in the last intro (1:35) before mei joins him you can see that mk has his s3 jacket and his hand positioned like he does in the last season intro EVEN THO HE HAS AN EXTRA HAND HOLDING THE STAFF and then his jacket switches back to his normal one
It’s been absolutely no more than 35 minutes that I know the existence of this show, and I can’t help but rewatch those intros again and again due to how amazing the animation is.
1:12 I love how the S4 intro basically shows the whole story of SunWukongs first mission (SPOILERS AHEAD) It shows Sun Wukong back around the time that he started the "sworn brotherhood" or whatever. in the next scene it shows when Azure Lion met Sun Wukong for the first time. After that it shows the whole brotherhood together and finally the fight against the Jade Emperor that put the story of the brotherhood to the end. Edit: called it a trailer instead of an intro so I fixed it :)
So if you pause on the scene where MK is standing on the rooftop back in S3 you can see MK's shadow is of his monkey form. Gotta love the foreshadowing.
This series just has that... Old Cartoon you watch in english in cable anywhere but in America vibe Like this feeling is the same I got when I first saw Adventure time, Sofia the First and other episodic cartoons from CN and Disney
@Stars and Comets 💫 I doubt they would redub macaque. Not only would it be disrespectful, but it would be like they're erasing his memory in the series, and he was too good of a VA for them to even consider that.
@Stars and Comets 💫 That was me agreeing with you.I was saying it wouldn't just be disrespectful and would be like erasing his memory from existence in the show.
Lyrics: Monkie kid Familiar tales, new adventures Monkie kid The powers of the King rest in his hands When evil surrounds him, he rise up against them, and shows them who’s the Monkie kid The staff out of his grasp, his friends watching his back, cause he’s the Monkie Kid
Man, I love this theme. Usually back then my favorite themes from Lego when I was a kid was Bionicle,Hero Factory,City and Exo-Force at first but I also enjoyed this theme too :)
I like how the details go that everyone's learning more about the past and legacies they are destined to fill in. Especially Wukong and Macaque. I even love how they show Ao Lie in his human form once we saw him!
They really upped their game and said "SCREW YOU BUDGET" MY MONKIE THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND HOW THEY SUMMED UP EVERY SEASON'S BATTLE IN THE LAST ONE
@@anirule6833 most likely, especially considering episode 10 ended on a cliffhanger just like in season 3 But to be completely honest season 4 itself felt less like a season and more like one long special that we have to wait a little longer for the conclusion Not calling it a bad thing it’s just what it felt like to me
Thanks to LEGO I’ve been recently into Journey to the West. First Monkie Kid, then Monkey Prince from DC and now Black Myth: Wukong. and I guess Dragon Ball too but at the time I didn’t know it was based off of Journey of the West.
