@@clemsy823 Of course. When I call Monkie Kid a successor, I just mean that it learned from and came after Ninjago, not that it's replacing it. I just mean to say that when Ninjago does end (Because let's be honest, it should at some point) I feel Monkie Kid will carry the torch worthily.
@@Mister_F Not sure. The entity is probably thousands of years old, older than Monkey King. As for the little girl she possesses, she's probably somewhere below 12. The wiki implies she's younger than MK by a bit.
7:34 This is, in my opinion, the most chilling moment in the entire show. It's like she let the girl she was possessing have the wheel for just long enough to say "It's scary being alone" and then switched right back into the raw MENACE.
10:38 is the most CHILLING moment I've ever seen though. She doesn't need to even show off her power, just ask a simple question and maybe make a small wind, yet it's still just so FRICKING epic! Any moment that one questions her ability or strength she makes sure to back it up. And come on the voice filter is just freaking cool!
Her scariest moments were when she was getting in MK’s head and when she would threaten Macaque. I just really appreciate finally getting a female villain that is straight up evil, actually intimidating, and doesn’t get redeemed in the end. AND ALSO isn’t secretly working for some “more powerful” male villain. That happens way too often where there’s a good female villain but then it turns out she was just a servant to a bigger male villain
@@StaringAtThe_5tars Ehh not really. Cuz MK isn't Wukong's reincarnation, (because Wukong is still alive) so it wouldn't really make sense for MK to be feeling that. Unless he has some sort of psychic connection to Wukong then maybe. Also, in the original story, LBD had nothing to do with the crown, she was just a one-off demon.... Anyway-
@@boomgirlbucko oh no I know it’s just think it’s quiet the consequence since in the beginning of his hero thing he had the fillet on his head and then Mk holds his head when LBD did whatever she did and then Monkey King did the same when he had a fillet. Monkey King and Mk are kinda connected? Just don’t think their related. But that’s just me
Except she may have a connection with the death kings.Just a theory of course, but they never stopped referencing 'the pieces' or 'the game' up until season 4 when Jade Emperor & Wukong told ALD he's being used.Plus LMK's Diyu/Underworld uses Oracle Bone Script in their memory scroll, just like LBD's spell circles.
I actually love the switch up with Not Mayor being the loved crazed servant and her being the big bad. She doesn’t look like the big bad but that’s the terrifying thing about her! She doesn’t even fight anyone until Monkey King, she just has this master manipulation skill throughout the show, along with her calm yet eerie tone of voice. Even now, I still think of her as the main villain of the show, mostly because there was so much build up to her and she basically was controlling all the conflicts. My only down side is that we didn’t get to see a whole lot from Not Mayor.
The top reason that Lady Bone Demon is one of the best villains ever, is because in every scene she's in, she wins in some shape or form. When she was defeated after possessing DBK, she escaped and found a host which would prove beneficial to her cause. Every scene with the spider demons, she asserts her dominance over them or successfully tricks them. When MK first encountered her, he escaped, but she scarred him, and caused MK to train so much that he would end up giving all of his power to her mech. Even as she's about to be defeated by Monkey King, she snatches victory from the jaws of defeat and possesses him. Which is why it's so satisfying to have her whole scheme crumble around her and for her to lose once she's eventually defeated through the combined force of everyone she's wronged.
@@ScallyWag637 I think it's mostly because of how subtle/conniving LBD is with her plan and how she goes about executing it- Every piece in a game of Chess, whether it be a Pawn or the Queen itself, has a role to play, and each one can be the difference between victory and defeat
@@charadreemerr4195 To summarize perfectly, all she was doing was playing chess and at the last moment, she forgot that her pieces can turn against her
And the most haunting thing is,I think she still won.She may not exist anymore, but her words affects MK deeply and became one of the factors of his breakdown.
"My final words of advice are...." "Beware the vanity of humans? Don't let fate consume you? Chase my own destiny?" "No, my final words of advice are: when your psychologist says you need meds, you need to take your meds honey."
Demon Bone Lady's ending is so satisfying to me, Im not entirely sure why. She was such a heartless villain who only focused on fulfilling her destiny, but only until the end of hers did she reveal to MK the true outcome of what destiny is.
Eehh not really i think- She wanted to end the world's suffering although it was by the wrong way Which ngl its kinda sad that after everything she sacrificed and all the time she spent to achieve her goal not only did she lost which means all of that was for nothing but she also ended up making everyone suffer the exact opposite of what she wanted lmao She really lived up to the L on lbd-
“We both fight for what we think was right, That persuade only lead to one thing” “To the destiny right?” “No… to pain” Damn bro. She gone with this speech as her last speech.
I never realized how she manipulated things till now. Like holy cow. She pushed spider queen with the venom to reveal herself to monkey king to get him out of the mortal realm, manipulated monkey kid’s fear and left a trace of herself in him so that his fear builds enough that he attacks her, stealing his power and finally, had monkey king search for a way to defeat her only for her to steal it from him when and if he got it. If she didn’t rely too heavily on the one plan and ignored monkey king and just went forward with what she had then she would have won completely.
Lady Bone Demon in the myth: a small-time demon schmuck that Sun Wukong beats up 3 times, killed at the 3rd. Lady Bone Demon in Monkie Kid: Eldritch abomination that is legit terrifying and might give you nightmares.
For me this is proof that female lego characters can look really good without lipstick. It makes them look cute. Just anime girls, no lipstick makes the character look better.
I introduced my sister to the show and I happened to walk in on her when she was watching LBD's first episode. And oh my goodness the horrified expression on her face when she possessed that little girl was priceless.
I think it is to prevent them from killing her like she said to Wukong if he is willing to end an innocent kid to stop her from causing more damage but who knows
You know what would be interesting, if MK started being able to use LBD’s powers after all this because she left one last piece of her self in him to make sure he doesn’t repeat the mistakes she and the other immortal beings like her made!
Oh my gosh you're right. That would be SO interesting. A dying villain realizes they were wrong and, in their last moment, gifts a piece of themself to the hero with a request to carry it onward, entrusting them with the responsibility of continuing the villain's legacy but right this time. A responsibility the hero would grapple with for seasons (or books, or etc.) to come.
When you listen to LBD, she literally never lied about helping one reach their destiny. The people just didn't ask what it was specifically, too afraid to even consider asking for more details, or too crazy to care.
"You know child, you and I are not so different." _"We both lack noses."_ Seriously though, she points out a similarity they share that isn't exactly UNCOMMON, and says that this makes her and Kid the same. 😂
Yk, I think that she didn't really mean the first part where she said "We both fight for what we think is right" as a similarity between them. For me, it felt like what she said next was the real similarity between them both, which was "And that pursuit only leads to one thing. To pain." It sounded as if she was really saying that they both end up forcing themselves past their limits just to fight for what they think is right. Like MK keeping secrets and training way harder to protect his friends while she used up all of her strength and strategies to make the world fit her "Perfect" image. Idk, I just kinda made that connection 😭
MK and Lady Bone Demon were both fighting for what they believed in so strongly that they went through great lengths to do it. Even when the odds were stacked against them, even when they suffered defeat, they STILL pursued their beliefs to the bitter end (at least for LBD). So...yeah. They aren't so different when you look at it from that perspective. And as she said, that very mindset they have is what caused them both immense pain and suffering. Some might say that LBD didn't feel pain, but her entire goal was to end pain and suffering from the world. She tried to do it peacefully by trying to guide the emperor to do what was right, only for him to show himself to be too inept. And then she was imprisoned for centuries.
When she said “No to pain…..” I honestly felt kinda bad lol I know the way she tried to “fix the world” was a bad idea but I think in her heart she wanted to clean the slate was because some humans can be evil and cruel to the world but I don’t think the way she did it was the right one…. She could have easily just tried to be a hero and fix a bit of the world one at a time ❤
Imagine if this kind of detail to animation, facial features, movements, etc was put into a more serious style of show? Like if they revamped Gargoyles with this level of detail. It would be amazing!
Elsa if she turned evil. In all seriousness, she’s one of the best villains I’ve seen in decades. Scary, powerful, great design, excellent execution & actually wins multiple times.
Lady bone demon one of the coldest villains bro she possessed a kid to be a moral shield against wukong so that if he killed her he also killed the kid. Monkie kid definitely as good as ninjago
@@nehuend1015 And, she's using that body of that child who's trying to get her cat, to fool anyone to get WHAT she wants.. She's very obessed with destiny
While this vid is for Victoria Grace’s excellent performance as lbd, I do gotta say that Kimberly brooks did great as Spider Queen too. These two really did give us two great villains.
Dood for a cartoon Lego show, this villain was by far the most scary thing yet. That one scene where Spider Queen and her subjects being torn down was by far the most frightening thing I’ve seen in a kids show.
I don’t think they really nerfed him. It’s more so that he was holding back a lot throughout the show and made mk do the heavy work to teach him. I mean look at his fight with the lady bone demon, once he started becoming more serious, he was basically wiping the floor with her and was about to kill her before she used the rest of her power to possess him
Am I the only one who loves seeing my favorite characters suffer? (I enjoy seeing my own ocs and Macaque suffer because it's funny and entertaining;-;)
