pigsy being Chang'e's number one donator is a reference to how pigsy became a pig demon. he hit on to many goddess to the point the jade emperor sent him to earth.
The character to the left of "Bunny 3708" on that side panel is Chinese for rabbit, 兔. In Chinese mythology, there's a rabbit in the moon; they interpreted the dark maria on the moon as a bunny rather than a person's face, and it accompanies the moon goddess and makes either potions, ricecakes, or mooncakes, depending on who you ask. The moon goddess and the moon rabbit appeared in the old story that Dragonball and every other version of the Monkey Kid story is based on (Journey to the West). Apparently a lot of Native American and Mesoamerican peoples also saw a rabbit in the moon. I love this set and will definitely get it, even though it feels like a lot when all I really want is the mech. We have a pet rabbit and he's pretty chill, but our first bunny would definitely have conquered the universe in a mech if she'd been given the chance. The ears are a nice touch - in real life they point forward when curious or happy, and swivel backwards when angry. Great review! Totally agree on the good and the bad.
