With the Brachiosaurus, I actually quite like the look of the grey clips. In the real world when they put up dinosaur bones they need something to connect them, as bones mostly don't fully connect, making the grey clips accurate.

You are so insanely good at filming lego sets. When I watch reviews from others, I always feel like I’m missing some things, but never in your video.

As a massive fan of Lego, palaeontology and space this feels like a match made in heaven

1. I absolutely love this set. 2. I love the colour scheme of the building. 3. I find the colours of the tree and banners to clash with the building and I wonder if this is part of the reason why people are divided on the colour scheme. 4. Thank you SO much for showing it on it's own without any of the mini figures, banners or tree blocking it - it shows how stunning the building is and I think I have to buy it now!!

I like to imagine the grey on the skeleton to be the cement that holds it together

I didn’t even know a prosthetic leg element existed! I’m a wheelchair user and professional adaptive athlete who pushes for diversity in everything I do, and having LEGO one of my favorite brands make something g like that really makes me happy :)

That boxed finish to the windows you did to fix that unfunished feel was absolutely perfect!

this was my very first modular and by far the biggest Lego set I've ever gotten and I could not be happier! I loved science and Lego growing up, and this set brought back so many good memories from the natural history museum in DC, which I loved when I lived in Virginia. I loved all the detailed exhibits and appreciated all the little explanations in the instructions! it felt like exploring a real museum with simplified plaques. 10/10!

I think the grey hinges for the brachiosaur, with the apparent black stand, is a good detail addition. Makes it credible as in real life exhibitions, where joints are reinforced with steel, and a stand poses the skeleton.

Haven't bought a lego set in decades (growing older, no space, budget, etc.), but I watch every video Tiago puts out. Love his passion and the high production value of the videos. I feel all the fun as if I have the sets in front of me.

I really wish I had $300 to spare for this set. It's beautiful, my girlfriend and I are really into museums, and it looks like it would be fun to just mess with on a day to day basis.

Something I like about this set is that it is one building rather than a large building with smaller ones on the sides like the police station or the boutique hotel

I absolutely love this building, my favorite currently is the jazz club because of its fantastic colors and pleasant design, but for a museum I think this is nearly flawless! I feel like a tan or grey color choice would be way to boring so I think the still neutral olive works great, but I can’t wait to pick this one up

10:21 that little spin showed the depth of the building better than I've seen from any pictures so far. I like when these buildings aren't just mostly flat on the front, but have depth, parts that jut in and parts that stick out

This was underwhelming at first, but really starting to grow on me. I've already preordered it!

Great review! I love how you actually showed your suggestions for modifications and how you showed the building technique for the stairs and fence--very helpful. I also appreciated seeing the curved roof windows as separate elements as I am not familiar with that piece. This looks like a fabulous modular building.

I absolutely love the look of this, and can't wait to own it. I'm surprised we're getting a modular and a half (like Assembly Square) again so soon. I really thought this would be an "anniversary" thing that we wouldn't see until 2027, so it's a nice surprise. I am curious as to why LEGO is releasing it a month early, effectively giving us two modulars in one year? Maybe this is a new thing, so we have modulars available in time for the holiday season?

My main criticism when I first saw it is that it's just far too busy on the front. There's just too much clutter making the overall structure look less defined. I probably would not add the window cleaner and I would build the tree at half that height to avoid blocking the banner. Also, I know this wouldn't fit in line with the Modular theme, but I just really wanted the back of this thing to be open so you could directly play with it without taking the entire monstrosity apart. It just looks perfectly made to be played with in a dollhouse configuration, instead of a space-consuming construction project anytime you want to experience the interior.

The attention to detail is amazing. The designer's ability to tell a lottle story and include so many details is very enjoyable.

Pssst - the reason there are gray connector parts on the skeleton is because they are not part of the skeleton. They literally are connectors since thats how real skeletons at museums are held together.

this reminds me SO MUCH of the field museum in chicago (which is also a natural history museum) both have a brachiosaurus skeleton the field museum having one of the most famous and most complete skeletons. the field museum also has a geology exhibit and has a similar structure to the set! if your ever in chicago i highly recommend going there

Sand green would have been a colour to satisfy more people. Serious Haunted House vibes from the olive green.

I want to like this but really struggle to. It doesn't seem big too me even though it apparently is. The stairs are less substantial than the police station and feels more like a boutique museum than a landmark museum.

Its a good set I agree, although I still they could have included more stuff in the museum. The Dinosaur skeleton is a nice touch, not so crazed about the stairs, real gap at top of second flight and the old Professor could trip there!

This looks and feels like actual LEGO for a change. There's actual care put into the details, the details tell their own stories, references to other sets, interesting building techniques, play features and it can be looked at from all sides?! Are you sure this isn't a MOC?

While not all Grey, the Fire Brigade was mostly grey!

I love everything about this set except the olive green, but I can get over that. I don't collect modulars; I only have one, the bookshop, but thinking about making this one or the boutique hotel the second. I like that you compared the two at the end.

Nice review! I'm seriously considering this one as a gift to myself. Looking forward to someone integrating the Galileo Galilei set into the museum diorama. Maybe even combining it with the Jane Goodall set.

I think that the reason for the grey on the skeleton is the metal clips to hold the bones together.

I’m not much into the modular building sets but I really like this one, it looks like it would be a blast to build and come up with ways to display it

I really like the space this set is giving as well the references i think i will buy it in the near future!

The exhibits inside feel very exposed whereas in a lot of museums everythings either roped off or behind glass. As such it doesnt have the right vibe inside and feels incomplete. The exhibits, whilst i like them dont suit the theme at all. The fact a LEGO designer with access to a much larger array of parts print accessories than I ever would have has designed this set and created such poorly suited exhibits staggers me somewhat. I made my own years ago i had no struggle making appropriate displays with my limited inventory..❤

9:32 Omg before my first modular I was like « hmm nah, too expensive, I’ll never get into that » then Covid gave me too much free time, I was bored and ended up buying Assembly Square … Now I’ve got every single one of them since assembly square, sold an organ to find the Diner, asked someone on a French Lego community to get the garage from his local Lego store because it was the last Lego store where it was available just before it’s retirement in Central Europe and Casually sell my own Modular’s instructions on Rebrickable Damn, you’re right, it’s Really hard to stop after you got yourself your first modular 😭

Maybe the color scheme would've worked better if the windows had been white as well, instead of tan. Or the other way around, with the whites being tan too.

With a little adjustment on the exterior (the glass doors) and lots of interior redesign, this could work as Wayne Manor

Great review, now I am even more convinced my preorder was correct. Please keep your focused style, not criticizing every small bit. I also like your humour: the designer has never heard of Lego brick pieces... But then you come back with an appraisal for his work!

Never got the assembly square but this looks like a good substitute!

I think that making the set tan would have made it blend in with the police station.

There parts per dollar ratio cant really be taken seriously, because there are many very small pieces

The back of the building was practically not needed to be made with small bricks if have a back at all, just inflated the piece and price.

This set disappointed me. The design of the facade does not exactly look like something in the classical style of the museum. The color scheme also raises questions. But perhaps the biggest disappointment was the contents inside. From the name Natural History Museum, I was expecting a real museum of nature, with skeletons, stands with minifigures of animals and plants. what's the result? - one brachiosaurus, a reference to the skull and fossil of an ammonite. Half a floor of the universe, rockets, etc. and a room with historical eras of man. Is this really a museum of nature, not history, or just a museum? Why then was it necessary to give such a name to the set? But it would be a great idea to make a modular planetarium in the future, where these models of the solar system and rockets would be much more appropriate.

You can be honest with us. The lack of Pluto in the solar system model was definitely the deal breaker.

GUYS HE DID IT FREAKING AGAIN! First lion knights castle poop jokes and he SAID "follow for more lego poop jokes". And he didn't lie to us. He made those jokes in Ninjago city markets and now in THIS video. I kinda feel like these poop jokes aren't ending any soon...

This one is my favorite so far

I think Space wall display is meant to represent the Earth itself (blue water, white ice cap and green land- maybe the Americas? I admit my bias) with the spaceship swooping by as in the Classic Space logo

I really like this set very much. I actually wanted to make a moc of a museum so I am glad Lego did one so I don't have to. lol!

I just love the look of this set! I can't justify buying it, but...

The scratch on the door kills me, Lego really needs to work on that especially for the price of these sets.

I feel like the last two modulars have really tiny windows at the front. I think this building would look a little better with double sized windows. Maybe it's the big posters on both sides as they catch more attention than necessary and make the windows look smaller than they actually are. It's a nice looking building overall but as you said at the end, it feels like a standalone set which I am not really sure I like

Take away the museum 1x6 tile and the banners and this building gives me the vibe of big old houses in old hollywood movies like "PollyAnna."

It's the first Modulair sets I really like! I will get this one soon, first waiting for some nice GWP offers haha

This is the big 18th Bday (now officially past on the 10th!) set, and I’d say this set is great already. I’m limiting myself to 2 bags a day, and my opinion on some aspects is this: I prefer the green coloration, it feels like something I’d come across as a random-ish building in New York City, though a brick red color would also fit well. The more plates I can plop figures out front on, the better. That’s the main issue I have with my two other Modular’s (Fire Brigade and Bookshop), they come with so many figures but no way to display them without toppling over unless you add some plates as modifications.

A big dissapointing for me. I would look nicer in tan colour bricks and looks very basic compared to past modulars. I would rather get a Mould King, XMork modular than this one. Good thing it has a toilet as those are rare in the lego world. I think the only reason lego made it bigger for no special reason is to charge more for it!

Oh the olive green is absolutely the correct colour. It's beautiful. To suggest grey or tan instead is in insanely boring taste sorry haha.

I’m a Lego purist, but I can’t help but want to convert this into a school.

It's a beautiful building. Personally, I'm fine with the olive green exterior. However, I'd prefer something this wide - 48 studs - to have 3 (or even 4) buildings -- similar to Assembly Square or the Police Station. Not a huge fan of the large, single buildings.

I hear you, I’ve just finished my first modular and it’s going to be a slippery slope… already bought two more, done a MOC of my own apartment block, and looking for retired modulars. Poor bank account. Also flying to Billund tomorrow so that could get pricey…

I usually stick to castle/knights sets and builds, but seeing as how they're insanely lacking, I've gotten into some city stuff lately, and I really want this set

This is decent. Although I'm fining it hard to justify buying just to add the parts to my collection. Esp the olive.

Adorei o detalhe do pedaço de queijo e a entrada para o rato :-) Concordo em absoluto com os teus 2 pontos : as janelas inferiores poderiam ter o mesmo acabamento (prefiro essa alternativa do que a tua segunda sugestão). E concordo em absoluto que aquela linha branca e cinza não deveriam estar ali. Como é sabido adoro o story teller por isso este é para mim um ponto alto ! ah...finalmente o detalhe do janitor ser o designer....magnifico ! Tal como referias isto começando não da para parar :-) (e comecei tarde com os modulares.....) Abraço e continuação de boas construções. P.S - ja estou a espera do proximo episodio do podcast e inclusive dei uam sugestão !

While I love a lot about this set, the interior is rather disappointing. Feels like there's better things they could have done for a natural history museum.

I love this modular and will definitely get it myself one day. Might've been good to see how the Dino skeleton compared in size to the Dino skeletons Ideas set from a few years back, if you had it to hand. But, as always, Tiago, great review!

My worthless opinion: I like the flat-top bottom windows, because it gives the illusion of them being pillar-like, rather than two separate "levels" of windows were they all round-topped. And while joining them together as you did to facilitate the pillar-look even more, I personally don't like that the joining-sections break up the central horizontal grey and white lines. And I like the lines. For some reason, to me, your all olive green version looks less like a museum to me, and more like a residence for some reason; kind of mix between an Brownstone and a southern plantation-style mansion. And thinking about it now, I think rounding the tops of the lower windows would also led itself to looking even more like a residence (again, to me). I DO agree that the lines could have been more color-pallet appropriate, but I also appreciate the grey and white as the grey line balances with the grey of the sidewalk beneath, and the while balances with the white of the exterior moldings above. Those stark choices actually flow for me more than they are jarring. But I don't disagree that there are better overall choices.

The exterior reminds me of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland
