In the area where Kai,Zane and Jay got to is a devil located that can enter people's souls. Since Kai went the furthest back the devil used that opportunity to enter into him, unluckily The Soul Reaper entered his mind at the same time (that's why he collapsed) through some power. The Soul Reaper showed him illusions,dreams and the past that Kai forgot, all of that is happening in Kai's mind, but when he experiences those illusions and all of that it feels very real to him, that's why all of that has such an effect on his mind (TSR did that to Kai cause he was hoping he would beat Zane and Jay so TSR wouldn't have to), but at the last second when TSR was supposed to finally do the killing blow in Kai's mind the devil aka Fury of Fire took over control. After Kai accepted the devil he turned into the devil's "true" form. So Jay and Zane didn't go into a dream, to them only a second passed since Kai collapsed, but in Kai's mind the time was slower. As for the rest of the ninja they are safe and don't know what is happening to the rest of the team at the moment.

@@agwens good to know, Thanks. My predictions are that Lloyd makes a portal by usesing his golden, to get back to ninjago and most likely prepare for war because of the change that they were followed (this not the next episode prediction but a part of the story prediction)
