Ok, I take every word I said back, it's better than I expected. But still, no minifigures xd

I could see them doing expansions with the other worlds as small sets if they think the concept is worth it. something like being able to adapt the individual worlds to either stand out on their own or integrate them into the hinged side panels where Bob-omb Battlefield and Cool Cool Mountain stick out. I don't think it would be possible to change out Lethal Lava Land since it looks pretty well integrated into the box itself, but being able to set two of the worlds out like that could be interesting regardless. could even come with a 1x1 tile painting of the world to swap out inside the castle itself as well. I do have to say, the slide being inside Cool Cool Mountain is a pleasant treat - I didn't think they'd go for detail like that. that and the way Bowser is integrated was also well done. I wouldn't say those parts alone would get people interested in buying the set based on what else was shown off, but it's certainly not a bad thing to have either. Probably gonna pick this up when I get some money in from work. Great review.

Nintendo must really be taking their time with Lego sets. Everything they have is innovative!

The first thought I have is could you modify it to have an '!' on the sides instead of a '?' as Mario 64 used '!' 3D boxes. Would you only need a few more flat top yellow tiles?

Asked for this for Christmas and just finished building. Probably one of the coolest designed Lego sets I’ve ever built. Highly recommended!!!

Yesterday was a snow day and I spent the day building this. It was very enjoyable and the end result looks great. Love it.

I wish it was massive and had more than one opening side, don't know how possible this is but imagine it had 9 scenes instead of 3 Edit, or more realistically having two opposing faces that open like this one and then a smaller popup scene on each of the four other faces

All You Need Is Good Art Skills And Then You Can Turn The Bowser Room Into The Final Battle (Add Bonus Lines To Represent The Star Bowser Stomps Out)

I can see them making more if this sells enough, there are so many iconic areas in this game, plus there’s a huge opportunity to make hat-specific versions for each and have some of those iconic areas represented for each (like Boo’s Haunt for blue, Hazy Maze for green, Rainbow Road for red, etc.) this could really take off

I am obsessed with the tiny little minifigures in this set and want really badly

Excellent review again! We were/are still Mario addicts, and although this set is cleverly built and cute as well - even far better than I expected - it's low-ranked on the lego wish list here. We'd rather play the game. LOL

We're getting closer to having a proper Lego Mario set in the usual Lego style. I just want a Lego Mario minifigure

I playd SM64 a lot of times . It was the first real 3d Mario Game and I loved it . Not so much like Super Mario World but I had a lot of fun then . In this case …Lego take my money 💰😂

Another incredible detail is the situation of the three paintings inside the castle. It is in the same location as in the game (more or less of course).

That slide, that damned slide on the ice. I never got over it. Just couldn't finish it. Too hard. Sorry, I find my traumas back in Lego sets now...

While I do admire the pop up fold out element, I would've liked to see more courses from the game. I feel the "?" Block is a bit bulky and unnecessary. Like it seem like you wouldn't need a block that big for the small set. I'm still gonna get it I just wish that it had sacrificed the block in favor of more levels.

It looks very interesting indeed! But I would like to see Nintendo bringing more series to LEGO products, that would give a lot of variety!

I got this but sadly it fell off my shelf. It screwed up the technic part and lodged it in there so I couldn’t even get it out

I'd like to have a big Lego Nintendo Metroid Morph Ball to be hinged I can keep in a Nintendo Metroid Game & Watch. Wish that Nintendo Metroid Game & Watch also will have save state possibility. Furthermore I want to turn that Game & Watch module into a toggling colour mode transporting the display's bright light throughout the ball with transparent lego bricks.

There are actually no ? Blocks in Mario 64. Only ! Blocks for the wing, invisible and metal caps.

i just built mine and the thing at the bottom doesn’t wanna close fully without the block popping on the sides and i thought it was made like that so i could open the door but i just realized it’s probably a mistake a made while building it lol

Am I the only one who would really prefer stand alone regular Lego Mario sets with regular Mario minifigs? Like for example, I would much prefer if lego would release a Priceness Peach set with minifigs that doesn't use any electronics.

I have played several hours of sm64 so when I got the set I was amazed at how accurate it was. There is pretty much nothing that shouldn’t be where it is and the way that certain things worked amazed me. I don’t think this set could get much better!

Worst thing about this set: the ? Block does not appear in Super Mario 64 in any capacity. SM64 uses ! Blocks
