They wouldn't be as effective unfortunately, because the centre of mass of the wheel would keep going up and down

A Mazda RX-7 can go backwards and forwards. But I get your point. Me neither :) Now it's up to you to make something with a reuleaux triangle, Raspberry Pi, pantorouter and wood gears.

Same here. While a circular cam might generate a sine wave, this shape generates more of a square wave.

Those lego pieces with three shafts mounted at equal distance from each other are really useful. They can be used to make any perfectly triangular assembly.

Wouldn't work normally bud. The distance between the centre to the edge and the distance between the centre to the corner are different. That'd be a really bouncy car. 0:43 here you can see the center going up and down

It’s fascinating because the radius of r cubed into length w/l is inversely proportional in a constant non-linear ratio / 3.14. A golden proportion design! 👍
